Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1108 - 600: The Limits of Control, Relocating Inside the World Tree

After returning to the surface, everyone was still gathered around the vine bundle.

”Ah, you’re out!”

”How many minutes were we in there?”

”Only one or two minutes, I think,” Wang Lei said.

”Most of the time was spent on communicating with us,” Wen Guixin explained, then curiously asked, ”So, what’s the outcome? Is the time flow different?”

”What’s the current time?” Xu Xin didn’t answer immediately but raised his hand to check his watch, asking the others.

”It’s two fifty-eight in the morning,” Lou Fei’Er glanced at her watch.

”Now it’s fifty-nine,” Zhao Xiaochuan raised his left hand.

Two fifty-nine.

Xu Xin’s watch showed three thirty-eight.

At this time, Ji Chaoyang stretched out his hand, and Xu Xin saw the time on his watch.

Three thirty-eight, the same as his own.

They were inside for over half an hour; most of the time was spent going up and down the underground world on the elevator.

”Ah, time has changed back!” Zeng Tao, beside Xu Xin, who had been watching his watch, suddenly exclaimed.

Everything matched their previous assumptions.

It seems the situation can be confirmed.

”The situation is like this...”

Xu Xin immediately described the situation he and Ji Chaoyang had just experienced.

Ji Chaoyang also explained his prediction.

”Therefore, before Yingying comes back again, let’s not go in for now,” Xu Xin concluded, ”but we can start preparing because once it’s daylight, Yingying will bring Wenxi back.”

”That’s great!” Zhao Xiaochuan clapped his hands, excitedly saying, ”The world tree affected by time forces, just thinking about it feels awesome!”

”Is Wenxi finally coming back?” Qi Xuefei’s expression softened alongside.

”Once Sister Wenxi returns, we won’t be so strapped like we are now!” Wang Lei laughed, ”Haha, and we’ll have our own base.”

”The most important thing is the fast time flow inside!” Qin Yunlong touched his chin, excitedly saying, ”We can use this for rapid and crazy development.”

”Hahaha, it’s simply God helping us!” Wang Lei laughed louder.

”We can’t be too optimistic.”

At this time, Shi Wanyun suddenly spoke, pouring cold water on the excited group: ”The underground world is also affected by the time flow, and that’s... the territory of alien invaders.”

Xu Xin and Ji Chaoyang both nodded slowly.

They had been considering this since just now.

And expressed concern about it.

That’s equivalent to an alien invaders’ laboratory.

Conducting the experiments is Chang Yin.

The time flow inside the world tree is as fast as the speed of that laboratory.

Even now, the experiments in the underground world are operating rapidly at an extremely fast time speed.

Moreover, most importantly, those in the underground world could easily find the time flow problem just by looking far away.

Those massive flying creatures slowly moving in the sky are glaringly obvious, anyone with eyes can see the problem.

And those who see this situation in the underground world, or rather the lackeys of the alien invaders, would certainly report upwards.

That means, there’s a high possibility the alien invaders now know the time flow anomaly in that area!

Feels like... it’s very unsafe.

Every second spent outside the world tree makes them feel on edge.

After all, below is the test site for petrified beasts. If not controlled, if they succeed someday, they might face these giants, incredibly dangerous war machines with immense attack power and super recovery abilities!

This is absolutely unacceptable!

”...go to Area 1, go to your tree house once,” Xu Xin thought for a moment, turned to Shi Wanyun, ”If they contact you, probe their view on the world tree’s maturity, and also...”

Without Xu Xin needing to say more, Shi Wanyun nodded lightly, ”I was just planning to go.”

”Then I’ll go with you.” Lou Fei’Er approached, ”They should suspect you by now, right? Two people are safer, you can say I’m monitoring you, claiming this side is suspicious of you.”

”I’ll go too,” Jin Yue said, last time it was the three of them.

”Alright, it can be an excuse for why I didn’t inject the world tree with the virus.” Shi Wanyun agreed.

”Then... I’ll go too!” Zeng Tao squeezed by the two, ”I don’t quite understand matters here...”

”You can’t go,” Ma Hongwei, who hadn’t spoken before, suddenly said, ”If you don’t want to sleep, come and study weapons.”

”...Please no!”

Shi Wanyun’s three left immediately.

And at this moment, Ji Chaoyang spoke: ”We now only know that by maintaining communication with the outside while inside the boundary tree, we can synchronize the time inside the world tree with the outside. This is our only way to control the time.”

Xu Xin instantly understood Ji Chaoyang’s meaning, eyes brightening: ”You mean I should go in and constantly keep in touch with one of you?”
