Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1120 - 604: Let the Spread Begin!

Her words instantly increased the sense of security in the hearts of the explorers.

”So the strength of the World Tree when mature is this strong!” Wang Lei exclaimed in surprise, ”Doesn’t that mean we’re virtually invincible?”

”No wonder those guys act like they’re crazy, coming in groups, trying to stop the World Tree from maturing,” Wen Guixin remarked, ”Yet after the World Tree matures, it’s been so long without any movement.”

”It hasn’t been long.” Xu Xin corrected, ”It’s only been over three hours outside.”

”Ah... this difference in time flow is really a bit hard to get accustomed to.”

Qin Yunlong chimed in, ”But this hundredfold time flow does make us far too leisurely.”

The hundredfold time flow allowed the explorers to greatly relax their tense minds upon entering this world.

Even spending a whole day idly feels like just a dozen minutes have passed outside.

The thought of living here for a hundred days while only one day passes outside naturally slows down their originally intense survival pace.

There’s plenty of time, why rush?

This is what now seems to be normal thinking for them.

But... there’s always been a thorn, persistently lodged in their hearts, preventing them from truly relaxing.

”Then how do you plan to deal with the situation in the underground world here?” Ji Chaoyang asked Xu Ying.

”Hmm? Are you talking about the technology and people of the underground world? I can set off now, but I still suggest you develop here first and then...”

”That’s not what I meant.” Ji Chaoyang glanced at Xu Xin, ”You haven’t told her?”

”Ah...not yet.” Xu Xin said, a little sheepish, ”To avoid wasting time outside, I brought them in immediately when they came back, and haven’t had time to tell her.”

”What? What are you talking about?” Xu Ying gazed at them blankly, then turned to Li Wenxi, ”Do you know, sister-in-law?”

Li Wenxi shook her head in confusion: ”How would I know...”

Li Wenxi had little understanding of either Xu Xin’s or Xu Ying’s information.

Since earlier, she’s been digesting this information, her mind a whirl, still unable to organize it properly.

Seeing Xu Ying look at her questioningly, Xu Xin pointed to the ground, saying: ”Directly below the World Tree, an area of underground sea spanning two to three kilometers will also be affected by the time flow inside the World Tree.”

”...the underground world will also be affected?”

Xu Ying paused, then thought for a moment, ”Hmm... the World Tree does indeed connect to the underground world, affecting the underground time flow, which makes sense.”

Then, her eyes slightly brightened: ”This is actually good news for us.”

”Though the time flow inside the World Tree is a hundredfold, there are only soil and water resources, and other resources are very scarce. If we collect resources outside, the efficiency is very low, but if it’s the underground world in that area...”

As she spoke, the smile on her face grew wider, her eyes turning into crescents: ”It’s just perfect! The underground world’s various unique rare resources are much richer than those on the surface, and there’s even ... a crystal mine to exploit!

With the hundredfold time flow and sister-in-law’s ability blessing us, we can mine as much as we want!”

That’s quite a good point.

Xu Xin had considered this before, but...

”There are other things down there!” Zhao Xiaochuan interjected, ”It’s full of terrifying monsters, it won’t be so easy to exploit, right?”

”You probably don’t understand the situation beneath the surface here, do you?” Xu Xin asked.

”Of course I understand the underground world’s situation; the area’s underground where all the survivors are is generally the same.”

Xu Ying glanced at the ground: ”I’ve long been familiar with the giant beasts, insects, and large plants everywhere. It’s all caused by those alien invaders, but don’t worry!”

She raised her head, looking at everyone: ”Since the underground world’s time flow is changed, that area can be considered an internal space of the World Tree. And in this space...”

She walked over to Xu Xin, happily hugged Xu Xin’s arm, and looked at the others: ”My brother and I are invincible! Don’t forget, we are the owners of the World Tree; this is our territory!”

...Yes!

Xu Xin, who had been frowning slightly, slowly relaxed.

Almost forgot about this point.

The area of the underground world influenced by the World Tree means he’s essentially the landlord there!

The explorers also realized this, all suddenly enlightened, looking at the siblings.

”But... the underground world on our side is not that simple.”

Xu Xin told Xu Ying about the vine bundle, petrified creatures, gigantic prison, and the massive soft giant beast suppressed by the prison, as well as the Blood Patterned Python.

Xu Ying showed little interest in the petrified creatures, even dismissing them.

She thought those things wouldn’t affect the World Tree.

But when she heard about the soft giant beast, her expression subtly changed.

”Are you sure a huge, soft-bodied giant beast is suppressed down there?” Xu Ying asked again with emphasis.
