Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1001: Chapter 562: Paradise Within the Treehouse

The Mature Woman No.5 handed a Crystal Ball to Shi Wanyun.

”This is...” Shi Wanyun looked at the walnut-sized Crystal Ball in her hand, emitting a glowing white light, and exclaimed in surprise, ”The treehouse core?”

”Hmm... It’s somewhat similar to the treehouse core; both contain considerable energy,” No.5 explained. ”This Crystal Ball is given to you by the master, and it should contain the information you need for this mission.”

”Information?” Shi Wanyun pinched the Crystal Ball in her palm and looked into it, ”How am I supposed to see it?”

The Crystal Ball was semi-transparent, its interior murky, revealing nothing.

It’s as if it were a miniaturized version of the treehouse core.

”That’s not how you look at it,” No.5 laughed. ”It will automatically activate at the right time, you just need to keep an eye on it.”

”Automatically activate...” Shi Wanyun pondered, ”Like a watch projecting images?”

”You’ll know when the time comes. It can’t activate now, perhaps because I’m beside you,” No.5 said while looking at the Crystal Ball. ”The master might only want you to see the information.”

”I understand.” Shi Wanyun didn’t put away the Crystal Ball but held it in her hand, ”Then now I...”

”I’ll send you off, come with me.”

Shi Wanyun followed behind her. After walking in the corridor for a considerable distance, No.5 pushed open a large door.

The scenery behind the door made Shi Wanyun’s eyes slowly widen.

What did she see?

Ponds, streams, bamboo groves, courtyards, flower seas.

There were also very Chinese-style pavilions.

Sometimes, the crisp sound of birds chirping was heard.

Unlike the dim corridor she had walked through, the place was sunny, and as she stepped through the door, she felt the warmth of sunlight upon her.

”This...”

Shi Wanyun immediately turned back to look at the door she had entered through.

The door was still there.

Only, the door was covered in climbing green plants, as if hiding it within this mystical realm.

”We... were transmitted somewhere else?” she exclaimed, ”This door, is it a gateway?”

”Gateway? Haha, of course not,” No.5 chuckled and shook her head, ”We haven’t gone anywhere, just stepped through a door. We’re still inside the World Tree. Welcome to my residence.”

”Your... residence?” Shi Wanyun’s lips parted slightly, amazed by everything in front of her.

She had already seen so many peculiar things here.

On the way here, she saw many unusual things, but she didn’t react, having become somewhat desensitized. She thought nothing would surprise her anymore besides the reappearance of that monster.

But it seems she overestimated herself.

Upon arriving here, she couldn’t maintain her composure.

She never imagined, inside this World Tree’s treehouse, there would be such an astounding area.

This was even more astonishing than the space above the elevator!

Who would have thought, inside this World Tree, inside this gigantic treehouse, there would be...

Gardens?

An otherworldly sanctuary?

No.5 looked at her expression with interest, ”Very surprised?”

”... Yes, very surprised.” Shi Wanyun took a few steps forward, surveying the surroundings. ”We’re inside a tree right now, and yet there’s a whole world in here...”

The stream was less than ten meters in front of her, and she stepped forward, gazing down.

The stream was clear, flowing gently, with fish swimming in it.

The ground was no longer wooden flooring, but rather soft soil.

Looking up, she realized the area was indoors yet extraordinarily high, nearly twenty meters, approximately six stories tall!

What amazed her most was that above wasn’t the usual wooden ceiling found in other areas, but a mosaic of smooth stones.

At a glance, it resembled the pebbled pathways of a park.

Unlike pebbles, these stones were relatively large, each the size of a football.

Most importantly, these were not ordinary stones.

But glowing white Crystal Stones!

As if giant treehouse cores were pieced together, forming this ceiling akin to a work of art.

This otherworldly area had no windows; external light couldn’t penetrate, yet it remained as bright as daytime at dawn.

As soon as she entered, she felt as though sunlight was bathing her in warmth.

Which means... the warmth wasn’t from sunlight but from these... colossal cores’s glowing white light?

”Do not underestimate this World Tree,” No.5 came up behind her, ”The highest point of this World Tree is three hundred meters, and its canopy stretches two kilometers in diameter, making the usable area enormous.”

Calculating like this...

”So large!”

Two kilometers in diameter, covering over twelve square kilometers, nearly twenty thousand acres!

Plus, the treehouse’s space utilization is inherently superior; three hundred meters in height easily used, unlike outside, where skyscrapers must be built to barely utilize a bit of aerial space.

This could practically rival a city!

Inside this World Tree, housing hundreds of thousands would be feasible, right?

Seeing this gigantic tree from outside, she felt amazed, but she hadn’t thought of this point...
