Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1050: Chapter 579: Crystal City Recruitment Plan (Part 2)

”District 1 is very far from us, shouldn’t it be unaffected by the World Tree?” Lou Fei’Er asked, ”Then our contact with them should only be through the Transmission Array, this ally isn’t very reliable.”

Indeed.

The Transmission Array on their side is affected by the World Tree, perhaps it can even be considered their possession. But the Transmission Array on the other side is still 100% under the control of the alien invaders.

If the other side can’t handle it and withdraws the permissions there, the connection between the two regions might be severed.

”That’s why we have to get the people from District 1 to come here quickly to gather more allies as soon as possible,” Xu Xin asserted.

”That’s my thought exactly.” Ji Chaoyang withdrew his gaze from the beam of light, ”Before the World Tree truly matures, let those who want to come here come as much as possible.”

Everyone immediately started discussing methods quickly.

It’s relatively simple on the 188 District side.

It’s currently the ”World Tree Siege” period in the outer region. Aside from Xu Xin’s side, the rest of District 188 could not see a trace of any mutated creatures at all.

At most, there are a few normal beasts wandering around, which pose basically no threat to the 188 District survivors who have made it this far.

And under the influence of the World Tree, their transplantation of the World Tree no longer has the previous time constraints.

Of course, it is impossible for them to transplant the entire tree house with the core like Xu Xin and the others. After all, they can’t move the tree house, they can only dig up seeds to transplant parasitic tree houses.

So, as long as they’re ready, they just need to head towards the nearest Transmission Array.

Their equipment is a notch better than those in the outer region, so long as they are cautious, there shouldn’t be any danger.

”It’s a pity we can’t use transportation tools like the previous snowboards now,” Qin Fu shrugged and said, ”If someone as far as me tries, it would take at least two or three days.”

”Also, we don’t have as many resources to help them as before,” Qi Xuefei looked at Xu Xin, ”With Wenxi not here, we must use our resources to protect the World Tree, but I can spare some medicines for them.”

With Wenxi’s absence, their previously extravagant use of resources was corrected and had become considerably more frugal.

”What about District 1?”

”Over on District 1, I’ve always kept in contact,” Ji Chaoyang raised his watch and glanced at Xu Xin, ”since Xu Xin has prohibited strangers from sending him private messages, they’ve been reaching out to me this whole time.”

”Ahaha...” Xu Xin was a bit embarrassed.

He had too much on his plate, and the people from District 1 were a bit too eager, so he simply turned it off.

Looking at it this way, Ji Chaoyang hasn’t done much less than him during this time.

”They’re still a bit hesitant now since they aren’t affected by the World Tree over there. The tree houses cannot be transplanted with the core, they would only be parasitic if they come over.”

Ji Chaoyang found this matter headache-inducing and looked towards Xu Xin: ”This issue can only be resolved by you.”

”Me? Oh...” Xu Xin realized and looked at his tree house.

Shi Wanyun.

As the strongest in District 1, she also hasn’t transplanted her tree house yet.

If she could persuade others and set an example, it should have a positive effect.

”I understand,” Xu Xin immediately agreed, ”I’ll talk to her.”

The meeting adjourned.

Everyone went to do what they were supposed to.

Qin Fu continued to patrol the surroundings.

The rest, along with their hundreds of survivors, began digging ditches at a suitable distance.

Xu Xin returned to his tree house.

The door to the secondary bedroom was shut; he had closed it previously.

Keke saw him come back and immediately ran over ”squeak-squeaking,” climbed onto his shoulder, and nudged his face twice with its little paws.

Clearly, it was blaming him for not taking it along when he went out.

”You little thing, not pouting anymore?”

Xu Xin scratched its chin, then placed it on the sofa, and walked to the secondary bedroom door to knock.

”Just a moment.” Sounds of rustling came from inside.

After waiting for about ten seconds, Shi Wanyun’s voice came out again: ”You can come in now.”

Xu Xin pushed the door open and entered.

On the bed, Shi Wanyun was leaning against the headboard, wearing a thin vest on her upper body, showing fair skin, her lower body covered by a quilt.

... No wonder she let him in so quickly.

”Is there something you need?” Shi Wanyun tugged the quilt over her body, revealing her pinkish-white feet and ankles.

Her movement also caused the strap on her left shoulder to slip off, revealing more skin.

However, she remained calm, casually pulling the strap of her vest back up.

Xu Xin’s eye twitched slightly.

This scene indeed is a bit tempting.

This woman... could it be intentional?

Dressing like this in front of him?

However, there were more important things now; he had no time to think about these trivial matters.

Xu Xin immediately walked to the bed, sat on the chair, and looked into her eyes seriously: ”There is an important task that requires you to handle.”

”... I just got a few hours of rest, and you want me to handle something important again?” Shi Wanyun tilted her head slightly.

She still hadn’t fully recovered her mental and physical energy and seemed a bit reluctant to move.
