His name was Luo Tong, who Su Zhenglong had beaten mercilessly more than once when he was younger.

“So it’s Luo Tong, the Family Head Luo.

You’re not dead yet, how could I, Su Zhenglong, die so easily?”

Even now, with serious injuries, Su Zhenglong still carried an imposing aura when facing Luo Tong.

Bang!

But as soon as his words fell, a loud crash came from the direction of Su Xuefeng, followed by his aged voice: “Su Zhenglong, how are you speaking to Family Head Luo?

Apologize immediately.”

Su Zhenglong stood there dumbfounded, his father was actually demanding a public apology to an underling from a second-rate family?

And all he did was verbally retaliate.

Clenching his fists tightly, Su Zhenglong’s face grew cold, but he did not reply.

Next to Su Xuefeng, Su Zhengtao’s leisurely voice sounded: “Big brother, don’t you remember how your serious illness can affect your hearing?

Did you not hear our father clearly?”

And sitting next to Su Xuefeng, Luo Tong sneered repeatedly, a face full of mockery.

The recent days for the Su Family had not been easy.

The Chu Family had already severed all ties with them, and the other two major families were likewise disdainful of them, so Su Xuefeng had to pay attention to these second-rate families.

In order for the Luo Family to side with the Su Family, the condition was that Su Zhenglong had to be nicer to them.

Grinding his teeth, Su Zhenglong thought of the day’s attempt at reconciliation and finally lowered his voice: “I’m sorry, Family Head Luo.”

“What did you say?

I didn’t hear it clearly.” Luo Tong, pressing his advantage, spoke arrogantly.

At this moment, Sikong Jing, who could no longer hold back, wanted to step forward, but Su Zhenglong blocked him and said again, “I’m sorry, Family Head Luo.

It was my fault for speaking disrespectfully and causing you trouble.”

“Ha, hahaha…” Luo Tong burst into loud, swaggering laughter.

The whole room laughed along, mocking the once invincible prodigy of Yunye.

Suddenly, a new voice spoke up: “Su Zhenglong, I heard your son-in-law is a criminal.

May I ask what crime he has committed?”

Teeth clenched, Su Zhenglong’s jaw tightened.

Su Xuefeng continued to speak sharply: “If your ears are fine, then answer.”

Taking a deep breath and forcibly suppressing his anger, Su Zhenglong struggled to reply: “He merely offended someone, he is not guilty of any crime.”

He also didn’t know what crime Sikong Jing had committed to be exiled.

But clearly, with his character, he must have offended someone; he definitely wasn’t truly guilty.

“Master Su, your daughter is so ugly, how could you still have the face to bring her to Old Master Su’s birthday feast?

Aren’t you afraid of scaring all the guests away?” Another middle-aged woman giggled and asked.

This woman was Luo Tong’s wife.

In that moment, Sikong Jing’s killing intent flared, but he was still firmly held back by Su Yuexi and Mei Xiaofang, who shook their heads at him vehemently.

Today they had to endure, because in their hearts, if they didn’t, Sikong Jing would surely die.

Then, one after another, questions loaded with humiliation were hurled at them.

Su Zhenglong’s chest felt as if it were about to collapse, and Mei Xiaofang was almost in tears, her eyes bright red.

As for Sikong Jing, he etched each of these faces in his heart, but what was more important was Su Xuefeng’s reaction to the gift from his father-in-law later, and whether he would be moved by it.

Of course, whether Su Xuefeng remained obstinate or not, Sikong Jing was determined to make these people pay.

“Alright, my son is not in good health, so let’s not ask any more questions.”

It seemed Su Xuefeng finally realized that he too was losing face, so he stopped everyone from asking further questions.

At this moment, Su Zhenglong also finally let out a sigh of relief and stared sternly at Su Xuefeng, saying, “Father, may you live as long as South Mountain and be as fortunate as the East Sea.

This is the birthday gift your son presents to you.”

He then had the hired workers push in the statue of Grandma Su Yuexi.

Of course, it was still packed in a large box at this time, so except for the few of them, no one knew what was inside.

Seeing this, Su Xuefeng was momentarily stunned and then dismissively waved his hand, saying, “Something this big…

your plea for mercy is well-intentioned.

Just leave it there.”

He then instructed the workers to toss it in the corner, where gifts were piling up like a mountain.

Upon witnessing this, Su Zhenglong quickly asked, “Father, aren’t you going to open it to take a look?”

No sooner had this statement fallen than Su Xuefeng responded irritably, “With so many guests right now, when do I have the time to look at your gift?

The best gift you could give me right now would be to kill this criminal.”

After saying that, he ignored Su Zhenglong completely and paid no attention to what was inside the large box.

“Grandfather, this is my birthday gift to you.”

Just then, Su Yun gracefully stepped out and handed over a long box.

Su Xuefeng’s face immediately brightened with a smile, and in front of everyone, he opened the box to reveal a knife.

Without any hesitation, he took it out and said with a chuckle, “A fine knife!

Xiao Yun is truly Grandpa’s little padded jacket.

I like it very much.”

In stark contrast to the previous reception Su Zhenglong received, it was as if it was two different attitudes.

At this point, Su Yun turned to Su Yuexi with a triumphant smile, asking, “Su Yuexi, what gift have you prepared for Grandpa?”

Upon hearing this, Su Yuexi immediately looked towards Sikong Jing.

Sikong Jing, without a word, handed the box he had prepared over to Su Yuexi.

Then, Su Yuexi held the box as she approached Su Xuefeng and said softly, “Grandfather, this is the gift from me and Brother Jing.

I wish you…”

Before she could finish, Su Yun suddenly snatched the box from Su Yuexi’s hands and exclaimed, “Let me see what you’ve given?”

Before Su Yuexi could react, Su Yun had opened it.

She didn’t believe that Su Yuexi could present anything worthwhile, and her opening it was to publicly humiliate her.

“A Green Jade Stone Plate?”

As Su Yun’s gaze fell upon the contents of the box, she instinctively called out.

The room once again went quiet, and then Su Yun took out the Green Jade Stone Plate, examining it and saying, “It’s indeed a Green Jade Stone Plate, and it’s the lowest quality kind, three for a hundred Copper Crystal Plates.”

Su Yun had expected Su Yuexi’s gift to be poor, but not to this extent.

At the same time, Su Xuefeng’s complexion also turned exceedingly ugly.

The Su Zhenglong couple, dumbfounded, could not believe their eyes as they looked towards Sikong Jing.

Hadn’t he said that this gift would delight Su Xuefeng beyond measure?

What was the meaning of presenting the lowest quality Green Jade Stone Plate?

No one believed there could be anything valuable inside the Green Jade Stone Plate; it was simply not possible to inscribe any decent Martial Skills on it.

“Ha, hahaha…”

Suddenly, Luo Tong burst into laughter, holding his belly: “Elder Master Su, is your granddaughter trying to kill me with laughter?

Of all things to give, you send this trinket, a Green Jade Stone Plate?

Even a few pieces of high-quality Green Jade Paper would have been better.”

It wasn’t just Luo Tong; the entire room erupted into laughter.

Su Xuefeng’s face turned beet red.

He didn’t feel embarrassed when people mocked Su Zhenglong, but when Su Yuexi and Sikong Jing presented the Green Jade Stone Plate, he felt like he had lost all face.

“Su Yun, smash that thing,” Su Xuefeng ordered sharply, showing no mercy.
