8: Chapter 008 Fierce Beast Released 8: Chapter 008 Fierce Beast Released Su Zhengtao’s face was stern and serious as he exclaimed, “Are you aware of the Su Family’s laws?

Killing an innocent house servant without cause demands a beating with the rod, even if done by the master of the house!”

As for this, Su Yuexi was certainly aware, at least it was a hundred strikes.

This was a stipulation within the Su Family’s laws, intended to keep the servants loyal, but generally, if a master really did kill a servant, they would evade punishment with various excuses or feign the beating during the punishment.

But Su Yuexi was very clear that as the ugly daughter of this lord of the house, she would not receive such treatment.

Being beaten with the rod meant she would definitely be beaten severely.

Biting her lip, Su Yuexi still tried to argue, “Uncle, it wasn’t without reason.

Aunt Dou bullied me first, she even falsely accused me of stealing pigs from the pig farm, and she even tried to harm my husband.”

Su Zhengtao glanced at his daughter Su Yun after hearing this.

“Nonsense!”

Su Yun stepped forward and sternly shouted, “One pig did go missing from the pig farm, and my father has already determined it was you who stole it.

Aunt Dou merely scolded you a few times.

You not only chopped off her hands and feet but also killed her.”

Saying this, Su Yun’s lips slightly curled in a sneer, how about falsely accusing you anyway?

A weird light flashed in Su Zhengtao’s eyes, and he immediately said sternly, “Su Yuexi’s theft of the pig is proven, as is the killing of Aunt Dou after being exposed, the evidence is conclusive, she must receive a hundred lashes!”

Trembling violently all over, Su Yuexi protested with tears, “No, you have no evidence.”

Su Zhengtao ignored her and again shouted, “Su Yuexi’s husband, an accomplice, is also subject to two hundred lashes because he does not carry the Su surname, execute immediately!”

What?

Even her own husband was to be beaten with two hundred lashes, how could he survive?

“This matter has nothing to do with my husband; it was all my doing.”

Su Yuexi struggled to stand up and charged towards Su Zhengtao, crying out, “Uncle, I beg you, the pigs were stolen by me, I also killed her, just punish me alone.”

To protect Sikong Jing, Su Yuexi even confessed to having stolen the pig.

The corners of Su Zhengtao’s and Su Yun’s mouths simultaneously twisted into a cold sneer.

There really was no evidence for the stealing of the pig, and it could even be proven that Aunt Dou hit her first, but with Su Yuexi’s own confession, they could punish her without finding fault.

“Yuexi, what am I supposed to say about you?”

“It was just a pig!

Why didn’t you just tell me, why did you resort to stealing?”

“I’m deeply disappointed, but as the Hall Master of the Law Enforcement Hall, I must enforce our family laws…

Bring in the punishment, a hundred lashes!”

Two members of the Law Enforcement Hall stepped forward, their hands gripping the hefty Killing Stick!

Su Yun sneered coldly, “Give it to me, beat her hard!”

Boom!

Just as the two Law Enforcement Hall men lifted the Killing Stick high, a violent surge of air suddenly rolled in from the entrance of the Hall accompanied by an angry shout, “I’d like to see who dares to strike!”

As the voice fell, a figure landed directly, stepping in.

Su Yuexi’s face changed dramatically, and she looked back!

When she saw it was Sikong Jing, she couldn’t help but shout, “Didn’t I tell you not to come?

Hurry and leave!”

At the same time, Su Zhengtao coldly lifted his head and bellowed, “Who are you?”

“Father, he is Su Yuexi’s criminal and sickly husband; he’s the one who beat my house servant and maid.

I was almost hit by him too.” Su Yun pointed at Sikong Jing and shouted, “Take him away for punishment!”

Upon these orders, the members of the Law Enforcement Hall, each gripping a Killing Stick, surrounded Sikong Jing.

Seeing this, Su Yuexi spoke out in desperation, “Stop, you have no reason to take him.”

She was truly frantic.

It was obvious her uncle and Su Yun were intentionally targeting her.

Why did he still have to come?

After she received her hundred lashes, the matter would have been settled.

“Ignore this ugly monster, this sick criminal dares to resist, just beat him to death,” Su Yun’s face twisted.

Ten or so members of the Law Enforcement Hall let out bizarre laughs, their True Qi surging.

Each was at the Bright Realm Fifth Level.

They gripped the Killing Stick and without a word, launched at Sikong Jing!

“No, no!”

Su Yuexi screamed, then looked at Su Zhengtao, “Uncle, I’m begging you, make them stop.”

However, Su Zhengtao revealed a calm smile and even took a sip of fragrant tea.

This criminal, even if beaten to death, it would be no matter.

Five days earlier, when the Patriarch Su, grandfather of Su Yuexi and Su Yun, heard of the marriage decree from the Lord of Yunzhou, he nearly came to kill this criminal himself.

But since it was a marriage decree from the Lord of Yunzhou, there was ostensibly no reason he could be killed, even if he was a banished criminal.

Now, the reason was there!

Seeing her uncle unresponsive, a frantic Su Yuexi could only look desperately at Sikong Jing, surrounded and wanting to rush over to protect him…

Yet ever since she mysteriously became ugly at the age of eight, her progress in Martial Arts had halted.

Even the True Qi in her body had vanished without a trace, how could she get close?

Was the husband she had cared for for five days, about to be beaten to death?

“It seems Yunzhou is indeed a remote territory; the Bright Realm Fifth Levers here are much weaker than those of the same level elsewhere, all are useless.”

Suddenly, Sikong Jing’s voice came by her ear, then… Boom!

A tyrannical surge of True Qi, centered on the ten or so Law Enforcement Hall members, crushed forward.

Bang, bang…

Two explosions sounded, and Sikong Jing burst forth from the crowd, his hand having seized a Killing Stick at some point.

He landed next to Su Yuexi, then looked toward the ten or so members of the Law Enforcement Hall.

“Kill!”

A low sound erupted from Sikong Jing’s mouth, his True Qi, which had just reached the Bright Realm Third Level upon his arrival, surged violently as he grasped the Killing Stick and plunged into the crowd like a released fierce beast, unstoppable!

Opposite Sikong Jing, all were existences of the Bright Realm Fifth Level, yet none could withstand a blow from his staff.

Screams of agony rose continuously; bangs echoed incessantly within the Law Enforcement Hall.

As Sikong Jing landed, the ten or so members of the Law Enforcement Hall had all fallen to the ground, vomiting blood, none surviving!

In her frantic state, Su Yuexi’s eyes widened, and she covered her mouth in disbelief.
