Berserk God of War

“Now, do you still want to judge my daughter?” Su Zhenglong asked coldly.

His fists clenched tightly, Su Zhengtao was well aware that Su Yuexi had not stolen pigs from the pig farm, and he knew that Aunt Dou had insulted her first.

Now that Su Zhenglong had arrived, if he continued to falsely accuse and condemn her, even in his extremely weakened state, he would fight to the death against him, and Su Zhengtao, being from the Dark Realm, still could not defeat Su Zhenglong from the Human Realm.

Thinking of this, Su Zhengtao let out a light breath and forced a smile, “Brother, you must be joking.

Since you’ve said so, I definitely won’t dare to judge her anymore.

I can’t afford to anger you to death!”

The tone was full of mockery, as if to say, brother, you’re about to die anyway, so what if you have your moment of authority?

“Hmph.” Su Zhenglong snorted coldly, slowly retracting the True Qi surrounding him.

In the next instant, he coughed loudly again.

After a good while, Su Zhenglong asked in a raspy voice, “Then can I take my daughter and son-in-law away now?”

“Of course, but I wonder where you plan to take Yue Xi?” Su Zhengtao, with a cold smirk, reminded him, “Her living in the pig farm is an order from our father.

You wouldn’t want to upset him now, would you?”

In his words, he was still issuing a threat.

Su Zhenglong glanced at him, “Of course, I’m taking her back home.

I’ll explain things to our father.

You don’t need to worry, Second Brother.”

After speaking, he looked toward Su Yuexi and Sikong Jing, “Let’s go.”

Sikong Jing swept a glance over Su Zhengtao and Su Yun, casually tossed the Killing Stick aside, and quickly walked to the side of Su Zhenglong and his daughter, telling Su Yuexi, “Let me do it.”

With that, Sikong Jing supported Su Zhenglong.

The man before him was his father-in-law, a father who loved his daughter deeply.

However, his injuries seemed very serious.

…

As he watched the three leave, Su Zhengtao’s fists creaked, and his face turned grim and horrifying, “Su Zhenglong, why aren’t you dead yet?”

His voice squeezed out from between his teeth, filled with immense hatred.

Su Zhenglong was once the pride of the entire Su Family, acclaimed as the strongest prodigy in Yunye City.

Since childhood, Su Zhengtao had been overshadowed by his elder brother, like an unnoticed, transparent person.

It wasn’t until Su Zhenglong suffered a major injury in a duel ten years ago that Su Zhengtao had a chance to come to the forefront.

It was also then that Su Zhenglong became gravely ill.

Yet ten whole years had passed, and he still hadn’t died; even now, with such severe injuries, he was still above him in the Martial Arts hierarchy.

If he fought desperately, no one in the Su Family could stand against him, except for the Family Head, their father.

Even their father might not be assured victory.

This time, framing Su Yuexi, Su Zhengtao had wanted to infuriate his elder brother to death.

He never expected that his elder brother would hear the news and come to rescue them.

“Dad, are we really letting that freak Su Yuexi off the hook?” Su Yun also asked spitefully.

Su Zhengtao panted heavily, his gaze becoming sharp as he said coldly, “Hmph, didn’t Su Zhenglong say I was bullying the younger generation?

Go call your second brother over, directly challenge that criminal to a duel, and beat him to death.”

Upon hearing this, Su Yun’s eyes lit up with joy, “Right, Second Brother is still at home.

I’ll go get him to vent my anger.”

…

Outside the Su Family Law Enforcement Hall, Su Yuexi and Sikong Jing were supporting Su Zhenglong as they left.

“Daddy, when did you wake up?

How did you get here?

Doesn’t mom know?”

Su Yuexi rapidly fired three questions.

Her anxious mood settled down; with her father by her side, she had nothing to fear.

Su Zhenglong’s pale face showed a hint of indulgent smile as he replied, “Of course, your mother doesn’t know, otherwise I couldn’t have come.”

At his words, Su Yuexi’s expression stiffened, and she let out a sad sigh.

Next to them, Sikong Jing was a bit puzzled…

If Su Yuexi’s mother knew, wouldn’t she allow her father-in-law to save their daughter?

What kind of reasoning was this?

Shouldn’t Su Yuexi’s mother be even more anxious?

Moreover, Su Yuexi, with him, had lived in the pig farm for five consecutive days—didn’t this mother-in-law seem indifferent?

As a new son-in-law, Sikong Jing, naturally did not feel it was his place to question directly,

While listening to the conversation between Su Yuexi and her father, Sikong Jing learned that his father-in-law, Su Zhenglong, had been bedridden for many years, frequently in a coma, often for several days at a time.

He had only found out about Su Yuexi’s arranged marriage to him after waking up today.

It was upon hearing that Su Yuexi was living in the pig farm that he, hiding the truth from his wife, dragged his ailing body to see his daughter; and upon hearing of Su Yuexi’s false accusation, he rushed to the Law Enforcement Hall to rescue her.

Knowing this, Sikong Jing’s gaze toward Su Zhenglong carried a trace of respect.

In the midst of their conversation, Su Zhenglong suddenly turned to the quiet Sikong Jing and smiled, asking, “I really didn’t expect, when I woke up, my precious daughter would be married…

What is your name?”

Sikong Jing answered seriously, “Father-in-law, my name is Sikong Jing.”

“Sikong Jing, good name,” praised Su Zhenglong, then asked deeply, “You’re only at the Bright Realm Fourth Level, yet you dared to fight against Su Zhengtao from the Dark Realm.

Aren’t you afraid of dying?”

As he spoke, Su Zhenglong looked intently at Sikong Jing.
