The face of Mei Xiaofang was full of pain and indecision.

Su Zhenglong remained silent, knowing that Su Xuefeng and Su Zhengtao would definitely come to deal with the killing of the house servant.

His original intent was to unleash all his power to fight to the death!

It was very likely that he would die, and Mei Xiaofang would not survive alone.

But if they both died, could Sikong Jing truly be trusted, would he really take care of their daughter for a lifetime?

“Let’s watch and see later,” Su Zhenglong finally sighed.

Boom, boom, boom…

Just at that moment, heavy footsteps came from outside the courtyard, followed by an old but fierce shout, “Surround it!”

As soon as the voice sounded, Su Yuexi’s courtyard was instantly surrounded by the elite experts of the Su Family.

Then the Family Head Su Xuefeng and Su Zhengtao stepped into the courtyard with large strides.

Their expressions were extremely gloomy.

At the same time, they were followed by Su Yun, whose face was slap-marked red, but who wore a cold and hideous smirk.

It was her report that had prompted Su Xuefeng and the others to take action.

This time, they were determined to completely obliterate Su Zhenglong’s family!

Seeing this, Su Yuexi who was still in the courtyard immediately left Sikong Jing’s embrace and looked towards the grandfather she both feared and hated.

In the end, Su Yuexi still lowered her head and called out, “Grandfather.”

Su Xuefeng completely ignored her and shouted towards the depths of the courtyard, “Su Zhenglong, come out to me right now.”

Soon, Su Zhenglong, with Mei Xiaofang’s support, shakily walked out, his face pale as he said, “Father, forgive me for my frail health, which prevents me from giving proper greetings.”

“Hmph!”

Su Xuefeng snorted coldly and then said, “I have no need for greetings from an unfilial son like you.”

He looked icy, not treating Su Zhenglong as his son at all.

Then, Su Xuefeng cut straight to the chase and said, “Zhengtao, you are the Hall Master of the Su Family Law Enforcement Hall.

Now, in the presence of your older brother, announce the punishment decision for the criminal Sikong Jing.”

As his words fell, Su Yuexi’s face changed, and she cried out, “Grandfather…”

“Shut up, I have no granddaughter as ugly as you,” Su Xuefeng barked sharply.

With a vicious smile on his face, Su Zhengtao loudly stepped forward and declared, “Sikong Jing, as a son-in-law of the Su Family, murdered dozens of house servants in cold blood, he must be executed!”

Upon hearing this, Su Yuexi’s body trembled!

She wanted to rush out and say something, but her hand was suddenly held, still by the large hand of Sikong Jing.

Just as Su Yuexi was filled with confusion and fear, Sikong Jing pulled her behind him and asked with a sneer, “Don’t you first want to ask why I had to kill those house servants?”

This question made Su Zhengtao laugh and reply, “The situation is very clear, it’s because you refused to pay them their wages.

When the servants demanded their wages, you brutally murdered them.”

Upon hearing this, Mei Xiaofang became so angry she wanted to rush out and argue with Su Zhengtao, but she was held back by Su Zhenglong.

For someone intent on prosecution, doesn’t any pretext suffice?

No amount of explanation would make a difference now.

It was better to watch and see how Sikong Jing would respond.

Sikong Jing shrugged his shoulders and asked again, “Then why don’t you ask why we had no wages to give out?”

He already knew that it was Su Zhenglong who had raised the Su Family from a second-rate family and had made them one of the Four Great Families of Yunye City.

Even without any blood relation, it was only natural for Su Xuefeng to take in Su Zhenglong’s family, who were seriously injured.

Moreover, Su Zhenglong was his son.

This question instantly made Su Xuefeng uncomfortable as he coldly said, “A fine criminal you are, indeed eloquent in speech.

But do you really think your crime is limited to just this one?”

“Zhengtao, continue,” Su Xuefeng ordered sternly.

With a fierce expression, Su Zhengtao announced further, “The criminals Sikong Jing and Su Yuexi caused a ruckus at Hengyu Pawnshop to repay their debts, injuring the Hengyu Manager among more than a dozen people, and even robbed them of a hundred Gold Crystal Coins.”

“Sikong Jing shall be executed, and Su Yuexi, for tarnishing the Su Family’s reputation, shall receive a hundred strokes of the cane!”

As Su Zhengtao made his announcement, Mei Xiaofang’s expression changed yet again.

Unable to help herself, she turned to Sikong Jing and asked, “The Gold Crystal Coins on you, were they stolen?”

Too much had happened before, and she hadn’t realized how Sikong Jing could have had so many Gold Crystal Coins.

Never did she expect they were robbed from the Hengyu Pawnshop.

“That’s not true, Mother.

It was the pawnshop owner who broke the contract first,” Su Yuexi rushed to explain, making the situation clear.

But before Mei Xiaofang could speak, Su Zhengtao interrupted fiercely, “Making excuses, bring the Hengyu Manager up here.”

Quickly, the Hengyu Manager, who had been knocked out by Sikong Jing the day before, emerged with a cold sneer.

After regaining consciousness, the more he thought about it, the angrier he got, and he ran to the Su Family to argue his case.

The outcome was very smooth, Su Xuefeng believed his words without hesitation, and even said he would bring him as a witness, to severely punish his criminal son-in-law and his hideously ugly granddaughter.

As soon as he appeared, the Hengyu Manager said, “When did I ever breach the contract?

It’s clearly because you didn’t have the money to redeem the Jade hairpin, so you robbed it right there and then, and also took a whole hundred Gold Crystal Coins from me.”

At this point, the Shopkeeper suddenly noticed that Su Yuexi was actually holding that Jade hairpin in her hand.

He was slightly confused about how she managed to buy it back, but this suited his plans perfectly.

Pointing directly, he said, “Old Master Su, look, what your hideously ugly granddaughter has in her hand is the very Jade hairpin that was originally pawned to me.”

In that moment, Mei Xiaofang also noticed the existence of the Jade hairpin.

Her mouth agape, she couldn’t understand if what the Shopkeeper said was true or not.

Meanwhile, the Hengyu Manager sneered secretly; if Sikong Jing and Su Yuexi couldn’t have bought back the Jade hairpin, it would have been somewhat troublesome.

But now that they had the Jade hairpin in hand, framing them was, of course, much more convenient.

“That’s not how it is at all,” Su Yuexi said, both angry and anxious.

This Hengyu Manager was twisting the truth.

Then, Su Xuefeng roared in fury, “Utterly disgraceful!”

At this time, Su Zhengtao shouted again, “Sikong Jing has audaciously broken out of the city with his criminal status, causing serious negative impacts on the Su Family.

He shall be executed!”

He didn’t care for Su Yuexi’s defense; he hurled out another accusation.

“Murdering house servants, stealing hairpins and money, forcibly breaking out of the city, multiple crimes shall be punished together by death by dismemberment!”

Announcing this with another stern declaration, Su Zhengtao’s eyes filled with a crazed hatred, intent on destroying and tormenting Sikong Jing.

His second son, Su Yang, still hadn’t recovered and it was uncertain if he ever would.

Previously, a direct challenge had failed to impute any crime, but there were plenty of ways to kill Sikong Jing and Su Yuexi.

“It’s not true, it really isn’t like that,” Su Yuexi protested as she kept retreating, tears streaming down.

She absolutely couldn’t let Sikong Jing suffer such a grave injustice.

She looked sharply at Su Zhenglong, “Father, it’s not like they say it is at all.”

Su Zhenglong glared at Su Xuefeng and others, his fists clenched tightly.

Originally, he wanted to observe Sikong Jing, as he truly didn’t know if this criminal was trustworthy or not.

But seeing his daughter in such pain, Su Zhenglong’s heart softened immediately.

Without a second thought, and taking a decisive step forward, Su Zhenglong bellowed, “It’s all false, Su Zhengtao!

Before you try to punish my daughter and son-in-law, ask whether I agree to it first.”

After speaking, his True Qi suddenly surged into the Human Realm, his gaze still firmly fixed on Su Xuefeng.

He was ready to fight to the death.

Even if it meant father and son would be at each other’s throats, he was prepared to make that sacrifice.
