6: Chapter 006: Su Family of Yunye City 6: Chapter 006: Su Family of Yunye City Su Yun was stunned, and pointing at Sikong Jing with trembling fingers, she screamed, “You bastard, when did this sickly guy get his strength back?

You also dare to hit my people?”

With a cold face, Sikong Jing took a step forward, “Not only that, I dare to hit you as well.”

However, just as Sikong Jing was about to strike Su Yun, Su Yuexi, who had regained her senses, cried out, “Wait, don’t hit her!”

Feeling his hand being held, Sikong Jing frowned, his face showing confusion.

At that moment, the frightened Su Yun cried out again, “Very well, a pair of damned lovers, you are both finished.

I’m going to report you to the Su Family Law Enforcement Hall right now; just wait for your severe punishment.”

Having said that, Su Yun quickly turned around and ran off.

Following her, her maid and thugs also left some harsh words and ran after her.

Sikong Jing did not pursue, as his hand was being tightly held by Su Yuexi, who asked in bewilderment, “Su…

Yuexi, that woman was clearly targeting you, you should have taught her a harsh lesson.”

He was originally a commoner, struggling for survival since childhood, and he always disliked bullying of the weak.

After joining the Great Shang Army, whenever Sikong Jing saw someone being bullied, he would always step in, especially now that the person was his wife who had taken care of him for several days.

Su Yuexi vigorously shook her head, “You can’t discipline her, Su Yun is my uncle’s daughter.

It’s fine to deal with her maids and servants, but if you hit her, it would blow things up.”

For this explanation, Sikong Jing was even more baffled.

“Since she is your uncle’s daughter, why would she treat you like this?”

Within a family, shouldn’t there be mutual care and protection?

Especially among such close relatives.

Hearing this question, Su Yuexi’s eyes filled with melancholy, and she lowered her head to reply, “Because I am too ugly, bringing shame to the Su Family.”

Because of her ugliness, even her own family scorned her?

Suddenly, Sikong Jing took in the surroundings and, shaking slightly, asked, “Judging by Su Yun’s attire, your Su family should not be so poor.

Why would you live in a place like this?”

The area was full of foul smells, and the thatch house was on the verge of collapse, as if a gust of wind could blow it down.

Is this the residence of a lady from a rich and noble family?

Initially, Sikong Jing thought Su Yuexi had a poor background, but given that Su Yun was the daughter of his uncle, had maids, and even bodyguards, it must have been a wealthy household.

Su Yuexi’s expression grew even more somber as she softly replied, “Our Su family is one of the Four Great Families of Yunye City in Yunzhou.

Naturally, we are not poor…

and it was only five days ago that I moved here.”

Shaking all over, Sikong Jing asked, “Five days ago, was it because of me?”

Five days ago, he had been banished to Yunzhou and designated as Su Yuexi’s husband.

Five days ago, Su Yuexi had been thrown into this place, there must be a connection.

Su Yuexi nodded, then immediately shook her head again and said, “Not entirely because of you.

The place I originally lived wasn’t much better, but by marrying you, I brought shame to the Su Family again, hence I was ordered to live here.”

Sikong Jing suddenly understood; he was a banished criminal, and even if the daughter of the Su Family from one of Yunye City’s Four Great Families was ugly, marrying a criminal would still bring disgrace to the whole city.

Therefore, this was the punishment that the Su Family had given to Su Yuexi.

But how could this be?

Marrying him was not Su Yuexi’s own wish but the command of Emperor Yang Tianmo of Great Shang.

“Ultimately, it’s still because I’m too ugly,” Su Yuexi lowered her head, her eyes full of inferiority.

Seeing her like this Sikong Jing couldn’t help but ask, “What about your parents?”

No matter how ugly, a daughter is still a daughter; she should not be subjected to such mistreatment.

“They…”

Su Yuexi was about to reply, but just then, she was interrupted by a sharp scream—it was the fallen harridan.

“Miss Su Yun, your servant is done for.

Help me kill that pair of dogs, Su Yuexi and her vile man.”

At that moment, the harridan actually came to her senses.

She still didn’t know Su Yun had already left.

She continued to cry out, “Especially that sickly guy; it was he who chopped off my hands and feet.

I want to squash him to death.”

Upon hearing this, Su Yuexi’s face changed dramatically, and her eyes began to flicker.

Suddenly, a sharp and determined light flashed in her eyes.

She swiftly rushed to the harridan’s side, and from her bosom, she pulled out a dagger, menacingly stabbing towards the harridan lying on the ground.

But she seemed inexperienced in killing; her hands trembled wildly.

“You freak, what are you trying to do?”

Seeing this, the harridan screamed in terror and struggled wildly, shouting, “You actually want to kill me?

Damn it, Miss Su Yun won’t let you off; she will surely kill you and your filthy man.”

Hearing this, Su Yuexi instinctively looked at Sikong Jing, her gaze becoming even more resolute.

Her trembling hands no longer shook, and the dagger in her hands plunged deeply into the harridan’s heart.
