Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 824: Chapter 620: The Little Elf Queen Who Got Kicked by Lally

Alessio very seriously taught Hill how to design the growth environment for silverfish and what kind of cultivation methods are needed for their breeding and development.

Hill listened intently, as did the Oak Spirit hanging from his pendant, who had been instructed by List that whenever he went out alone with Hill, he must meticulously record the events encountered, to ensure accurate documentation later.

List would trace back the origin of every item Hill brought back, so that when Hill recalled it next time, he could provide a more complete answer.

Not to mention this kind of silverfish, which must first be cultivated within the pendant before being introduced to the half-plane. The Oak Spirit carefully observed the configuration of Silverfish Creek, planning to replicate it entirely within the pendant.

Alessio couldn’t help but glance at the pendant on Hill’s chest, where the slightly glowing patterns emitted a very pure Force of Nature. Yet Hill was not a Druid.

He had indeed heard that this Archmage had the bloodline of Coron, but wasn’t the oak tree a symbol of the Father of Nature?

But reportedly, Hill’s bloodline in the Otherworld was of the Water Element! Otherwise, how would he have a daughter of the Sea God?

Alessio couldn’t help but secretly think: it feels a bit like he might be a descendant of Coron and Sylvanas.

Completely unaware of what kind of parentage Alessio was insinuating for the Elven God King, Hill, having confirmed his own notes, proceeded to inspect Lis’s orchard and the vegetables, berries, and small shrubs planted opportunistically underneath the fruit trees.

The elves indeed have a natural talent in this area, inherently knowing what kind of environment allows plants to grow healthily. Hill raised his hand and released a Nature’s Blessing.

Alessio watched in amazement as all the fruit trees, just about to enter winter, sprouted leaves and bloomed again, and he could feel the intense Life Force accumulating, enough to bear fruit once more in just half a day.

Hill stared at his hand in a daze, reflecting on whether the difference between a Level 20 and Level 21 Nature’s Blessing was that significant. Previously, these fruit trees, at least a century old, would need to bloom for three days to accumulate enough energy to bear fruit.

Hill didn’t notice Alessio’s momentarily unfocused gaze and thus failed to observe his thought trajectory reaching nearly to the Nine Heavens with sparks flying off.

If his little head wasn’t focused on a particularly enticing fruit tree, a mere glance around would have deeply impressed upon him the artistic charm.

The Priests of Coron, even when seemingly steady, certainly wouldn’t fall behind in spreading gossip!

Alessio, overwhelmed with countless thoughts, didn’t get the chance to discuss the story of the Father of Oaks with Hill before being interrupted by Purwell’s return, most importantly, with several female elves eagerly waving from Purwell’s open mouth.

Lis’s cheerful greetings made Alessio completely forget to confirm his thoughts with Hill, happily heading towards his beloved wife.

”Oberon and his entire family are now inside your whale,” Lis said with a smile to Hill, wrapping her arm around her husband’s, ”They said they want to talk about the past years, so they didn’t come down.”

Several Priestesses in blue gauze robes smiled and nodded at Hill before leaving, brushing past flowers and plants with elegance and astounding speed.

”They are exclusive Priestesses permanently stationed in Coron’s Sacred Land, not oriented towards combat, who love crafting Strange Objects. Due to their exchanges of materials with other creatures, they maintain good relationships with the other races of the Supreme Forest.

However, unless something major happens, they generally do not leave the Temple or communicate much with others. They were in a hurry to return to the Temple, so asked me to apologize to you.”

Hill displayed an awkward but polite smile: Lis could really shamelessly make such grand statements; was watching the Little Fairy Queen get a beating what she called a major issue?

Besides, didn’t he know why these Priestesses were using the acceleration skill to rush back to the Temple?

He had overheard the Green Leaf Elf Priestess Gerns’s plans before, and these must be for the same reason: once they’d enjoyed the liveliness, they’d share with partners in every world, because only with interaction can there be a next time!

Lis truly lived up to her past experiences as a diplomat accompanying General Gael to numerous worlds, being able to easily make conversation.

Hill gently smiled and redirected the topic: ”So that Young Queen lost miserably?”

”Without the Royal Court’s aid, what does her strength amount to? If not for the Little Fairies being suppressed by the chair beneath her, Oberon could have slapped her a few times,” Lis said disdainfully, ”In the Lost Edge, there’s a herd of unicorns capable of kicking her flying! She even tried to summon the Pegasus and Unicorn God to help her, but unfortunately, Lally revealed herself too quickly, and the Pegasus bolted away as soon as it showed its head.

In the end, Lally could only vent her frustration by kicking Titania a few times. She had always wanted to figure out where the difference in strength lay between her and Echtertien, as many suspected that guy might be her Exterior God aspect.

Hehe~ Titania ran really fast! But her face was all stamped with hoof prints, quite the embarrassment upon return.”

Hill was silent for a few seconds before asking: ”Why is Lally in the Lost Edge?”

”Melikai didn’t allow her to travel for these years, yet the Unicorn Queen couldn’t stay put and went off to the Lost Edge to play with the wise beasts there.

She seems a bit interested in you elves from Teraxil, she might go over to observe...”

Lis suddenly interrupted herself, frowning in thought: ”Melikai... wants Lally to make contact with those interesting children? Why?”

Hill did not respond, as he now doubted his own judgment and wouldn’t easily draw any conclusions.

”Forget it.” Lis shook her head decisively, unable to figure it out, ”Though the Lady of the Forest is always mysterious, she never does anything bad, probably it’s for the purification of the Supreme Forest again.”

Hill finally found the right moment to present his feedback: ”These are some moss seeds I prepared for the Supreme Forest, which can purify the corruption left by demons.

I used them in Teraxil, and they were quite effective, plus they can be planted underground.”

The seeds were something he had prepared in advance, but the pouch containing them was actually a legendary level seed pouch he found, something Hill had imitated. Later he realized the reason he couldn’t create a higher-level one was because he didn’t understand plants to that extent.

In this regard, he was no more than an undergraduate in botany, barely graduating, completely unable to comprehend what the PhD researchers were doing.

If it were a mineral pouch, he could make it quite well, but there was no need; it was just redundant.

So Hill made a few and gave up, but now it could be presented as a gift.

Lis took the pouch and quickly realized it was a relatively high-level nature-type strange object, and immediately shook her head: ”Such a valuable thing, I can’t accept it.

I’ll take out the seeds; as an elf, it’s my duty to help restore the Supreme Forest, but as for this seed pouch, forget it, you take it back.”

”I made this myself, Lis; I have even better ones. Although the finished product is indeed valuable, the materials aren’t expensive,” Hill smiled gently, ”Besides, the moss seeds can only remain in their best state when kept inside here.”

Lis tilted her head: ”So you’re also an Alchemist Master of strange objects? You are too amazing!”

Hill thought for a moment, and although the strange objects on this side of Toril were all sorts of bizarre things and couldn’t be considered proper alchemy manufacturing, it wasn’t too different, so he nodded toward Lis: ”Moreover, my success rate is very high, so something like this level of seed pouch is nothing to me, plus, shouldn’t all druids be able to make these strange objects?”

This method of creation was brought by the Elven God King! And he didn’t have any secrecy about it, basically, the high-level Druids of the Moon Elves could all make it.

Surely it’s quite common here in Toril too!

”Hill.” Alessio couldn’t help but sigh, ”Druids particularly skilled in making seed pouches...went extinct before the fourth Crown War. The method of making them was lost.”

Hill was speechless.

Did the elves fight for ten thousand years, only to leave behind a pile of ruins and extinguish countless heritages?

Before Agleya left, she gave Hill a Heritage Book on crafting strange objects by the druids of the Moon Forest. When those druids left behind this heritage, they were filled with melancholy; they weren’t afraid to walk to the end for their beliefs, but truly regretted that their heritage would end.

Though they hoped that the inheritors of this treasure would be from their Moon Forest Ring, those druids knew in their hearts that more likely it would be someone completely unrelated who laughed last.

So their only wish was for the Moon Forest Ring to have a chance to continue again.

Agleya also knew about that university, but how could druids possibly seek education in a city?

So she straightforwardly entrusted Hill, hoping if he had the chance, he would teach some suitable druids this method of making strange objects.

Agleya herself could only use the modified Pearl crafting method and couldn’t use acorns at all.

So although this heritage was useless to Hill, he still learned it, planning to find a couple of suitable druids to try it out when he traveled.

But he really didn’t expect that even the druids’ ace seed pouch would have its heritage severed. So what method are they using now to optimize seeds? Learning mages’ use of elemental pools?

Do they use life force while others use earth, water, fire, wind?

Hill couldn’t help but sigh: ”Once the Elf Deity System lets go, it really is decisive! What about Melikai? She should know, right?”

”She advocates for natural evolution and isn’t very interested in such strange objects that optimize seeds.” Alessio’s eyes drooped, and his tone was indifferent.
