Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 819: Chapter 615: Aevraestar’s Sword of the Star Mountain Range

Hill lowered his head, watching his fingers fly up and down, and Xiao Liuliu pondered, saying, ”Neverwinter is about to be liberated.”

Oberon looked at him strangely, ”Isn’t Neverwinter great? The Undead Tribe helped them so much, even the serious issues of plague have been resolved!”

Hill smiled at him. For the little fairies, the bizarre actions of the Undead Tribe aren’t really troublesome at all—they might even join in the chaos.

But for the king of Neverwinter, he probably understood deeply the saying about inviting gods being easy but sending them away being difficult.

On the Toril Continent, the status of Deepwater City is somewhat higher, but in the minds of the Undead Tribe, Neverwinter is far more important.

Hill had once inquired about the Undead Tribe’s understanding of the Toril World. Although the protagonists may be different, Neverwinter was once a renowned single-player game from their side.

Confronting the evil forces that destroy one’s own homeland is indeed a plot most likely to resonate.

Moreover, Hill somewhat enviously listened and understood that their single-player games are all virtual reality types, and it is said that NPCs change their dialogues based on different situations whenever they meet players.

Of course, he also picked up on the fact that the game is quite ancient—though classic enough for many to have played it, it’s always somewhat disappointing for the Undead Tribe who have been spoiled by later, more refined games.

The significance of remakes is rather minimal, as virtual reality games rarely have remakes; the money and effort consumed don’t match up with the benefits received, and there would be considerable criticism due to differences in some character models compared to past classics, so no one wants to burn money to get criticized.

However, before the Undead Tribe turns 18, out of concern that kids might not distinguish between reality and virtual reality, their country doesn’t allow games that are too realistic.

So Neverwinter really is a fond memory that many often recall with nostalgia from their childhoods: the helplessness of hearing that the bones of the planners, who one madly wanted to burn for some bastard plot, were probably already melted.

The Undead Tribe genuinely wants to know what differences there are between Neverwinter in different settings, whether they could see the protagonist from their story, or if there are monsters in the sewers they have previously dealt with.

Hill understands their feelings well. He was quite lenient towards the young ones from the four cities who went to his territory to cause trouble about the Bhaal Temple, largely because of the presence of Asberi.

With the entire Ferun Continent aware of the situation regarding the plague, Hill believes her boyfriend should be doing quite well this time.

He did not want Asberi’s misfortune this time to be because of him, so even if he was unhappy with those youngsters treating his place as a trial for heroes, Hill’s anger was directed at the cities themselves.

Purwell deftly dodged another wave of attacks coming from the ground towards them, the small whale appeared beside Hill: ”Hill! Have you seen enough? Let’s go back to the clouds!”

Hill shook his head with a smile, ”Almost done.”

He glanced down at the battlefield, where the Undead Tribe was fighting bloody battles, and Toril people were busily handling the frozen ones.

Apart from the Righteous Knights and the clerics of the nature faction, who had returned to the battlefield, others were standing around watching the excitement.

Although the Undead Tribe really can’t die, they might not care whether NPCs voluntarily join the battle; such things appearing in games are perfectly normal.

But this scene also made Hill very uncomfortable watching it.

After all, he understands that these aren’t the tool creatures in the games where the enemies are right beside you but must wait for players to act before they can be killed.

Hill knows that for Purwell, these attacks that don’t reach a legendary level are too slow to touch him, but for the Otherworldly Whale who dislikes combat, such fiery battlegrounds only make them turn away.

He soothed Purwell a bit, gently raised his hand, and released the long-awaited trio of Water Mist, Tide Dance Moon Welcoming, and Water of Tranquility.

Gentle water mist wafted over the battlefield, greeted by the excited cheers of the Undead Tribe and the demons’ cries of agony as they were scorched by the Power of Purification.

Amidst cries of ’Hill is a great person,’ Hill whispered to Purwell, ”We can leave now, directly to the Star Mountain Range!”

His Water Mist, even when the level wasn’t high, could last for three days—it’s enough; after all, the demons now outnumber the Undead Tribe!

Hill knows well that the main forces of the Undead Tribe will probably march overnight directly to the Supreme Forest. Unlike those who always seek quests to do, most people prefer the direct excitement of battle.

The tasks on Toril aren’t easy, and many missions make the Undead Tribe extremely uncomfortable, with a feeling of disregard for human life making William get scolded daily.

Seeing the trees below clawing beneath the spaceship, Hill continually showered down the Water Mist, hoping those trees rendered evil could regain some sense and not easily attack the passing hordes of Undead Tribe.

```
Setting fire to the forest will indeed incur a curse from nature, but cutting down big trees that want to harm you is not a sin.
Not to mention, the Undead Tribe that Coron has brought, even if they really destroyed the entire Supreme Forest, could not be successfully cursed. And as long as it’s not a direct order from Coron, neither AO nor the world laws could trouble Coron.
If all deities had to take responsibility for the crimes of their followers or subordinates, then there would be no deity that could exist in Toril.
Just like Mystra, whom AO pays a lot of attention to, neither of the two Mistras were particularly amiable, and wasn’t the Dragon Worship Leader who caused the Dragon Madness Disaster just a pitfall from the previous one!
The Holy Grail in Agleya City, which contains Lansendel’s blood, is the best proof. As a mortal capable of harming the avatar of powerful divine power, it is all due to the Force of Silver Fire granted by the Goddess of Magic within Samast!
Coron might truly be tired of some matters in the Supreme Forest, but the phrase ”breaking and then establishing” is light to say, yet it signifies the extinction of countless lives.
Hill pulled out a small pouch of seeds from his hand and sighed gently.
Logically, such good things as the sunflower seeds should really be given to the elves guarding the Supreme Forest, but Hill was still somewhat hesitant.
If Lansendel is simply detached from the control of the Tablets of Fate, then even if Hill handed out these seeds, it might be returning the fate that Amanata inadvertently transformed by him was resurrected.
But if... the appearance of Amanata is destined to make Lansendel return to slumber in the Dawn, wouldn’t giving out these seeds be a trap to his friend!
He didn’t think the Toril people who knew about the sunflower would be grateful to the Teraxil Sun God they would only worship and praise the sun of their own world, and the Toril Gods wouldn’t allow other world’s Sun Gods to appear in their own world.
Sun and moon carry very crucial significance to every world and are completely different, even linking to the foundation of every deity, making everyone wary of outsiders.
Yet Hill couldn’t change this flower into the Flower of Dawn. That would affect the Sun God in Teraxil.
If accidentally, he let the Teraxil Sun God, who holds all the sun-related divinities, lose the dawn divinity—or worse—manifest a Lord of Dawn like figure in Teraxil, Hill would never be able to face his own home again.
The most adorable thing about Lansendel is that he is a powerful divine force in Toril, which is the premise for Hill to genuinely befriend him.
Before landing in the Star Mountain Range, he finally found those moss seeds that also possess the Power of Purification. Fortunately, considering Toril’s complex underworld, fearing that his domain would be invaded too—nurturing demons, devils, and even liches unconsciously like those city-states—he had the Oak Spirit cultivate a lot using the Demi-God Seed Pouch.
Even luckier, the elder Earth Bears collected many Demi-God Level seed pouches, not just from Moon Elf Druids who died in the wilderness.
Hill didn’t even ask why there were so many; if enemies dared to trouble the Earth Bears in the wild, no bear would be lenient with their claws.
When Haiweirsen asked him if he wanted them, he quickly accepted them; other than him, Earth Bears couldn’t use them anyway, as it recognized only the purest Force of Nature as a demi-god artifact.
Hill counted the number of moss seeds in his hand and nodded in satisfaction.
Although not as useful as sunflowers, in the dense canopy of the Supreme Forest, these mosses should also grow quite well.
However, although moss grows rapidly, someone must collect their seeds to be used elsewhere, otherwise, they would only grow clustered in place.
The elves of Aevraestar’s Sword were already standing at the highest peak, waiting for Hill. They had long discovered that somewhat peculiar whale flying directly toward them.
But seeing the mist of water with natural purification power falling from it assured them it was definitely not an enemy, and that was enough.
Solitudinously guarding here for thousands of years, Aevraestar’s Sword had given up many elves’ awkward dispositions, as long as someone of any race was willing to help them, they were their good friend.
Letting Purwell float mid-air, Hill descended to the ground with Oberon and Vila.
The Little Flower Fairy, realizing there was absolutely no safety issue, grumbled continually to her dad in dissatisfaction. Watching the excitement, how could her dad forget to call her? It was simply a crime!
Oberon kept looking at Hill, hoping this big friend could help stop the enthusiastic Vila. Hill... Hill turned to the approaching elves with a beaming smile: ”Gentlemen of Aevraestar’s Sword, very glad to meet you, I am Hill from Agleya City.”
”Hill?” an excited female voice sounded from behind, ”Lynn’s good friend, right? How is he now?”
The elves in front with smiling faces stepped aside, revealing a tall, lithe, blond elven female in scaled armor in front of Hill.
Hill’s smile became even more genuine: Lynn and his mom look incredibly alike!
