Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 810: Chapter 606: Mulan’s Ruler Prince Andreju’s Astonishing Intelligence

Kelben sighed; although his wife stayed in the City of Hope for their two children, she had completely turned against him.

Both being Chosen of the Goddess of Magic, Laila leaned more toward Elaströ’s approach, disliking his descent into darkness for the so-called path of deities, and didn’t think their children needed Kelben to do much.

If the prophecy proves they have a promising future, then just wait for destiny to arrive at that day; why do so many reputation-ruining, borderline evil things?

Even his once-favored nephew has parted ways with him.

Kelben sneered.

Laila and others always think that as Chosen, they have attained the power of immortality. As long as the Weave exists, they can live on.

But they forget that it was the former Goddess of Magic who valued them, and isn’t there a younger sister among the Seven Sisters who became a ghost, forever unable to experience the various flavors of life?

Now the current Goddess of Magic hasn’t chosen to resurrect her.

Though she has her own thoughts and is somewhat like the living, is it the same?

The prophecy is based on his death! Why wouldn’t he strive for the best outcome for himself?

Since destiny treats him, Kelben, like a dog to be toyed with, he might as well serve a truly powerful deity. Even if it’s just a faint divine power, it’s better than now.

Kelben gripped the window frame tightly, knowing he absolutely must not continue losing, or all he has done will become a big joke.

Hill didn’t know how much trouble he caused Kelben. He indeed played the tactic of hurting others to harm himself with a focus on Deepwater City, but that was mainly because Deepwater City was so close to him and easy to manipulate.

Other city merchants had to consider freight costs, especially for goods from Silvermoon City. Only when the quantity was large enough would they be shipped through the Riven River to the sea and then to Agleya City.

But once good things reach Deepwater City, they are practically within touching distance of Agleya City. If Deepwater City insists on past prices, no merchant would stay there, as merchants don’t care if the nobles of Deepwater City can eat beef and lamb.

If the people of Deepwater City want good food, they can only keep up with the pace.

Hill knew he had single-handedly upset the upper echelons of these major cities, but he really didn’t expect to ruin the plans Kelben had been scheming for so long.

After all, in his mind, a 700-year-old Archmage, who controlled a city and even the Silvermoon Alliance’s market of strange objects, couldn’t be poorer than Adrian, right?

Anyway, Kelben plotted against him several times, so Hill just retaliated as Kelben did, and whether he succeeded depended entirely on Hill’s luck.

He acts naturally without expectations; whatever results come are up to Kelben’s luck and resources.

Hill, someone like him, couldn’t understand how costly it was to support thousands of subordinates all pursuing money.

Although his family also had someone who could eat and create, the entire Sword Mountain Range was nearly filled with various livestock, and Terry could even change his meals to suit every taste.

The Undead Tribe wasn’t particularly interested in the Sword Mountain Range because after passing through the labyrinth Hill set up under the mountain, what they found wasn’t anything new and exciting, but mountains of cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens, and ducks. Despite the variety, they had no interest in pastures.

It wasn’t a dragon farm anyway.

In any case, the only dragon in Agleya City could be hired to sing an atrociously terrible song for just 100 gold.

Hill now found all his joy in Purwell, and didn’t mind Oberon and those fairy spirits taking over the area behind the mushroom cottage.

Just remind Lester to bring thicker soil when he comes in; Oberon already had his eye on the white wax trees and elk.

Hill truly didn’t understand why this Lord of Beasts seemed more eager than Vila; it was a bit strange.

Hill once thought he would never follow him!

But whatever was in his mind, as long as it wasn’t against Hill, he didn’t care.

The noisy little fairies were actually quite nice.

And Hill didn’t worry about spider webs and such; after discovering Hill’s territory had Dustless Arrays, the brown sprites that came with Vila took care of the minor issues the spiders brought.

If the webs exceeded the range Lester allowed, they didn’t even need puppets; the little brown sprites would clear them right away.

They performed too well, fearing Hill would find them useless and send them back to Shady Home, as they preferred human homes as household sprites.

Hill sometimes worried that the Brown Sprite God, treated as a jester for fun by the Joyous Court, might come too.

Luckily, he hadn’t so far.

Else Hill did not know if taking the Little Fairy Queen’s husband and her beloved jester away would provoke the Shady Home’s master to fight him.

Hill was busy adding a viewing platform to Purwell’s back. Although the Dimensional Whale’s open blowhole wasn’t very large, its radius was two meters.

This was the most precious part of the Otherworldly Whale, indeed magical, even Hill couldn’t seal it with metal liquid.

Even though the alloy was thickly applied on the pores, Purwell could open these two semicircles directly whenever he wanted.

That was space law directly manifesting on the Otherworldly Whale itself, trying to seal it would require the power of laws.

There are very few deities that can control space law, Hill can’t do it either.

Hill checked several times and realized that unless Purwell opened it himself, it was actually as seamless as any other part, without any way to enter, so he gave up.

Those with the ability to forcibly open it probably wouldn’t need such fuss; they could just dismantle the shell.

As long as safety is ensured, it’s also a good thing for Hill, since although Purwell’s eyes are quite big, relying only on these two places to absorb sunlight and air isn’t easy, needing the cooperation of magic arrays.

Moreover, he could create a transparent platform on the whale’s back to sit inside and enjoy the view, without needing to broadcast through arrays.

The glass wall made from Crystal Flower fibers couldn’t cover the entire whale, but a simple 20-square-room could be done.

Hill, happily unaware of the tumult outside.

But Lynn couldn’t ignore it.

He eventually learned the elves’ destination. Prince Andreju, really worthy of being the most foolish leader in The North for ten consecutive years, dared to trade elven slave girls at such a critical time when elves left Eternity Island searching for new territories.

It might be a case of elves’ entrapment enforcement.

After all, Lynn had just given the letters and documents from that slave merchant to his grandmother.

Since then, those elders on the ships within the City Guard hadn’t tried to bring them back anymore.

Lynn, although very disgusted with those antiques, didn’t wish for the City Guard to lose their families.

General Gael wasn’t that stupid.

She actually sent some young members to Lynn, hoping they could practice for a few years at the university in Agleya City before officially choosing their life paths.

The officers of the Royal Fleet, who adored General Gael, followed suit in this decision.

They intended to go to war anyway, their families need to be sheltered by Agleya City, so they’re not as foolish as the nobles to directly provoke Lynn.

Agleya City didn’t have much connection with Eternity Island initially; did they truly believe all elves across the world must support Moonflower Royalty?

Look at how the Wood Elves in the nearby forest react to Prince Ramriel’s arrival!

The Moon Elf Royal Family is not the Elf Imperial Court.

Not to mention, this city has Coron! Lynn’s confidence was evident; who could make a half-elf who has served the Father of Elves bow down in submission?

Are the Moon Elves treating Suren like a mother? Not considering whether Suren wants such foolish children!

This was what General Gael said when she openly scolded them after closing the door, once she knew what happened.

After all, the families of the Royal Fleet are definitely safe; they wouldn’t care much, at worst, let ordinary ships from the Moon Elves follow at the end.

In Mulan, with the elves’ military strength, there won’t be any problem; they just need a decent reason.

Prince Andreju, ruler of Mulan, excels militarily, but his intelligence is undeniably negative; even the elves didn’t expect success so easily.

To know that during this time, the prince’s think tank had been desperately urging him to remain silent, absolutely not to offend the elves.

Even though the Kingdom of Anmur is behind Mulan, should Mulan provoke trouble first, Anmur wouldn’t risk offending the elves for a prince who left their territory, would at most ask the elves to spare Prince Andreju’s life and send him back to Anmur.

But returning helplessly country-bound would be a miserable outcome that Prince Andreju should understand well.

And the pirates from Moonshadow Island, who cooperate with Mulan, wouldn’t dare confront the elves’ invincible fleet even if given a hundred courage.

Prince Andreju readily agreed.

But his intelligence swiftly disappeared upon seeing those elven beauties brought for sale by the Magic Ship.

Thinking himself clever, he investigated the merchant’s identity and easily found that the Magic Ship merchant was an aide to the biggest slave trader in Mark City, and these elves were caught from Planet Celene.

Andreju couldn’t control himself; he had long heard that the elves of that planet each had unique skills, surely able to grant their owners supreme pleasure.

To prevent his think tank from hindering his beautiful future, Prince Andreju, exceptionally, detonated his most formidable intelligence storm and secretly completed the transaction.

Caught red-handed by the Grand Elven Mage trailing the Magic Ship, capturing him directly, but the Mage contacted the elves’ flying fleet and rescued them all.

Upon hearing this news, General Gael wasn’t very pleased, being forced to tear up a thick follow-up plan.
