Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 818: Chapter 614: Boiling Undead Tribe

As the accusations grew louder, more and more Just Knights placed their hands on their longswords. Some who had calmed down realized the situation was spiraling out of control, but no one could stop those overwhelmed by crisis or the fools seizing the chance to sling mud at Tyr.

Even when seeking help from the higher-ups who stood at the back, these knights simply turned a deaf ear, their gazes cold and stern.

Yet judging by the faint black glow emanating from their right hands, they were also very displeased by such slander. If the conflict continued, someone might unleash the Wolf Jaw Spell to bite people!

Some members of the Temple Army who never believed Tyr would have any common ground with Lansendel, had already arrived. They couldn’t allow those meant to defend properly above to start fighting each other over some absurd reason while battling demons below, could they?

Would it sound good to speak of it? How to explain why the Righteous Knights released wolves to bite people?

Could they say they were bitten by dogs—oh, no, wolves—because they slandered Tyr and Lansendel for forming an alliance?

Some priests hesitated as they moved to the back. Just the thought of someone saying their Main God shared a common language with Lansendel made them shiver. If such reasons led only to being bitten by the Wolf Jaw Spell, one might commend the wide spirit of the Righteous Knights.

The chaos on the city wall was so overwhelming that they couldn’t even pay attention to the Undead Tribe wreaking havoc. Those arguing and those intervening had turned into a chaotic mess.

However, a series of timely explosions averted the impending crisis.

Rather than debating whether Tyr intended to ally with Lansendel, that terrifying Great Demon King, it was better to focus on one’s own life!

As they watched the professionals sent by continental countries flock to the resting area, Tyr’s Paladins followed begrudgingly.

Though furious at the slander against Tyr, the movement of demons was of greater importance.

The Just Knights puzzledly watched the group ahead, stagnant and unmoving. Some young knights couldn’t resist squeezing past the burly warriors standing before them.

They relaxed slightly, uncertain of what had happened, but at least it wasn’t the enemy invading.

”Fellow Righteous Knights...” A burly figure pushed through the crowd and stepped forward. ”For the sake of fighting side by side for so long, please let those elves release them, won’t you?

If they did something wrong, I won’t shield them. It’s just too disgraceful... It’d truly be better to kill them!”

The Righteous Knights quietly discussed a few sentences and called over their leader, Peres Gezal, who was resting against the city wall with eyes closed.

The Righteous Knights stationed at Hell’s Gate had a pleasant name, Sword of Lunia.

But anyone aware of Tyr’s Divine Kingdom, also called Lunia, could conclude that besides the Sword of Tyr stationed at Tethyr Kingdom’s loyal fortress, and the three main forces of Tyr’s Hammer and Sunhammer, the Sword of Lunia Knights held an unshakable position.

Anyone capable of becoming the leader of this knight group would have combat skills and loyalty to Tyr beyond doubt.

Peres stood up, dusted his armor leisurely, and pushed through the onlookers, unable to resist raising an eyebrow.

He glanced up at the whale in the sky that had significantly lowered its altitude, easily understanding why the Mage would prefer appearing within demon attack range just to watch the spectacle.

Where did those Teraxil Elves get such Strange Objects? How did they freeze people like this and keep them alive?

He felt the veins on his forehead twitch as those scantily clad Female Priests held up the Holy Flame to warm several people frozen in strange postures within a thin layer of ice.

The ice on their hands and below their waists had melted. These few individuals had already made contact with the fireballs.

Ah!

Peres didn’t know how to describe this scene. From the attitude of those Female Priests deliberately working below the waist, anyone could guess the shameless plan these fools had proposed.

Having the audacity to harbor indecent thoughts about a High Priest capable of using Resurrection Technique, they deserved death even if they lived.

But as the Anmur’s Warrior Team Leader said... It truly was a fate worse than death, and others wouldn’t remember their names, only that they were from Anmur.

The issue concerning Prince Andreju of Mulan had just been received. Anmur’s people had been avoiding everyone the past two days, so they truly hadn’t expected these fools to cause trouble with the Teraxil Elves.

Peres examined the people frozen in ice more closely and discovered they were all branch members from several Great Nobility families of Anmur, dispatched to Hell’s Gate to return and gain a title.

However... He turned to survey his surroundings and spotted two slender figures in a corner. Wearing robes, they noticed Peres’s gaze, displayed an embarrassed smile, and casually donned their hoods.

Even though Coron changed the name of the Undead Tribe, he still attracted the attention of many ancient monsters! Peres silently mused. Yet for these noble scions to discard their pursuit of the Undead Tribe so easily, it’s as if testing the sensitivity and boundaries of the Undead Tribe.

Those Archmages from Anmur are not easy to deal with.

He steadied himself and stepped into the white freezing circle, clearly feeling like he was passing through a barrier. These High Priests must have used up most of their mana, yet they still managed to set up so many defensive measures. They sure have a lot of good stuff at hand!

The blue armor he wore prominently displayed the fist and scales emblem, instantly revealing his identity to the Undead Tribe. The girls exchanged glances before a short and cute girl with a sweet smile stepped forward: ”Hello, Paladin of Tyr~ We aren’t very familiar with the way names are used here in Toril, so please forgive my rudeness!

I am Xiao Liuliu. Are you here to deal with this big pile of trash?

Anmur... We’ve only just heard of this country. That Prince Andreju is from Anmur too, right?

How interesting. Is Anmur known for producing trash?”

Peres tightly pressed his lips together, suppressing his urge to burst into laughter.

Marcus Solano, the vice captain who had followed him in, had no such restraint, and his hearty laughter nearly shattered his eardrums.

These female priests were quite crafty, they made these fools show their noses but firmly kept their mouths frozen, yet you could see the flames burning their important parts, but they couldn’t even cry out for mercy.

Peres looked at the smiling gentle girl in front of him and mentally clicked his tongue. Even the most ruthless female knights in the Righteous Knights only liked to blow heads; they should really learn from this strangely named ’Xiao Liuliu’ what it means to kill not just the body but the spirit.

He first controlled his emotions, then spoke in the most gentle tone: ”Although these guys offended your dignity and deserve death, if possible, could you spare them?

They committed a crime, but it’s not punishable by death.

Anyway, even if they return to Anmur, the fruits of their desperate battle for the past two years at Hell’s Gate would be completely lost, the Hammer of Justice and other temples will send letters condemning their rudeness to Anmur.

But this scene now is a bit too embarrassing for Anmur. If it continues, it might lead to national disputes. I assume you wouldn’t want to bring war to Agleya City, would you?”

His tone was very sincere, and the Undead Tribe understood that he was stating facts, not issuing threats.

The female priest lining up to burn people dejectedly dropped the fireball in her hand and walked back to stand behind ’Xiao Liuliu’.

’Xiao Liuliu’ rolled her eyes for a while before asking, ”Then if they had succeeded, could we have directly killed them?”

Peres smiled and nodded, ”Of course, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. The God of Justice supports all rightful revenge.

In fact, going a bit overboard is normal, after all, their intentions, if truly realized, would harm not just your bodies. However, next time, it would be best to directly kill rather than humiliate.

No matter how foolish they are, they are still heirs of a nation’s nobility. Sometimes, even those you don’t want to save must be saved when appearing in public.”

The girls from the Undead Tribe understood the meaning behind the Righteous Knight’s words, which were to eliminate those with ill intentions next time without giving them a chance for ransom. They muttered disappointedly about ”no more Frost Bombs next time” and ”Alchemy Items at the Archmage level were indeed low, need to change” as they left.

These High Priests usually have an Alchemy Hut. They initially wanted to observe the battlefield, but now finding it dull, they naturally tossed out their houses amid a giant intake of breath and went inside to rest.

’Xiao Liuliu’ thoughtfully surveyed the crowd; she understood the deeper meaning.

Holding her tablet, ’Xiao Liuliu’ took pictures of everyone around and then noticed the gaze of the Righteous Knight linger on two mage-garbed figures at the periphery.

She deftly put away the tablet. Before these idiots aimed at them, it seemed they were standing with a few others in similar robes.

Back then, as soon as she noticed their sleazy and disgusting gaze, she took photos of all of them.

Initially, she planned to wait for Baldy and the others to return so they could bring pigs and beat people up at the door, but unexpectedly, these guys couldn’t wait and came to court their own death.

She fingered her tablet, zoomed in on those figures who hadn’t yet put on hoods back then, took screenshots, and swiftly forwarded them to the public screen: Pay attention to these people, a captain of the Righteous Knights said they want to capture us for human experimentation!

The public screen exploded in an instant.

The last time such a human experiment type of random adventure task occurred was when Teraxil William first founded the nation!

Although such tasks are a bit risky and involve watching a lot of disgusting plots, they bring money!

Those daring to conduct such activities are basically mages, and they must even be Archmages with laboratories!

Taking down one... is pure profit!
