Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 444: Chapter 243: Deception and Betrayal, Who Will Be the Final Winner?

Hill couldn’t help but slam the table, he was such a fool.

The Sun God and the Goddess of the Silvermoon, even if they couldn’t see the current situation of the Goddess of the Earth, could enter the World Tree Artifact to check on the status of the Earth Artifact.

It seemed that the situation hadn’t worsened, so these two deities could still cheer for William, pretending to enjoy the spectacle.

The Goddess of the Silvermoon also had time to play verbal games with the elves.

But it likely hadn’t improved much, just stabilized, otherwise, the Goddess of the Silvermoon wouldn’t be behaving so provocatively every day.

Hill thought that the God of the Earth should be slowly recovering, maybe even able to convey some information.

Hill shook his head. If that was the case, then he could somewhat understand why William was slowly letting the Undead Tribe and the Dwarves play war games without planning a thunderous strike.

Such matters, the Sun and Silvermoon would never hide from their allies.

It turned out everyone was stalling for time, just that no one knew each other’s trump cards.

The Dwarves had grand dreams, and the humans weren’t kind-hearted either, everyone was the same.

Just don’t know who’s bluffing and who’s holding aces.

Hill let out a long sigh.

If it weren’t for the Goddess of the Silvermoon wanting to vent, he might still be in the dark, worrying about the safety of the Goddess of the Earth.

Now he could relax a bit.

Prolonging the war with the Dwarves for decades was fine, after all, the Undead Tribe also enjoyed having a battlefield to play in and the humans of this world could take a breather.

Speaking of which, Hill took out the map and drew on it: the battlegrounds where the Undead Tribe waged war were quite extensive, as the latter groups of undead started entering the battlefield after reaching the level of Archmage.

A battle involving billions of people set almost the entire Dwarf Kingdom ablaze.

Merkel and his group fought a steady battle in a camp, while that pack of wolves seemed to always maintain guerrilla tactics.

If they encountered the Undead Tribe, they would cooperate to attack larger towns; otherwise, they’d raid villages on their own.

Undead who had seen them all said the pack’s size kept growing.

Not to mention Merkel, who squatted in his territory and recruited subordinates, with many Earth System magical beasts joining as well.

So for a war that dragged on, neither group of magical beasts had any objections.

Hill tapped the map; since everyone had their plans, he didn’t need to worry about others.

The possibility of the Goddess of the Earth’s recovery should be hinted to Aurelio next time he came.

Let those vigilant bears relax a bit.

Hill turned his thoughts to Agleya.

He had always been concerned about Agleya’s barren Divine Kingdom.

Agleya wasn’t purely a Water God; she just held most of the Water Law.

Her divinity was of the Sea God.

The ocean included not just water but also the seabed, islands, marine life, and even volcanoes and icebergs.

Kids always had a tendency for destruction.

Agleya only knew how to create countless blizzards in her Divine Kingdom, which wasn’t right.

The Divine Kingdom was her eternal home. Agleya couldn’t just think about showcasing her power; she needed to perfect it somehow.

Hill glanced at the twinkling ice crystal. Agleya was still smug, thinking she hadn’t handed over Hill’s dad’s oak tree space to the Sun God and the Goddess of the Silvermoon for nothing. This belonged to their family; anyone who dared to contest it wasn’t good.

”As long as Agleya likes it. Soon, I’ll move the oak tree to the valley. If you need anything, let me know. Once I’ve gathered it, Li Si will place it on the shell bed for you to retrieve it at your leisure.” Hill thought for a moment and added, ”Shouldn’t Agleya raise some islands outside her Crystal Palace? Otherwise, how will the Moon Elves live once they come over?

There should also be some animals and plants on the islands. Agleya, think about what seeds you want?

Agleya can also check out the valley and tell Li Si directly what you need. He’ll prepare it for you.”

Agleya called out excitedly a few times and abruptly went to reorganize her Divine Kingdom.

Hill stood up, wandered around the island for a bit, and then looked at the forge in front of him, rolling up his sleeves.

Just like Adrian said, he’d better stay out of sight for a while and continue his blacksmithing business!

If anything came up, he’d find out eventually. Hill trusted Adrian’s ability to gather information.

Adrian, the gossip expert in Hill’s eyes, stood dumbfounded, staring at the moon.

Things had been hectic lately, and he’d been busy until the moon was high in the sky.

So as soon as the silver moonlight began to shine, he noticed it.

A silver tree had suddenly grown on the Moon Halo, its branches and leaves flourishing and swaying elegantly.

Adrian thought he could already see the silver light forming fruits on the tree.

Only one tree could grow on the Moon Halo, and wasn’t it shattered back then?

The Goddess of the Hunt did say that the Moon Tree was shattered, right?

Adrian was in a daze for a while before he suddenly laughed out loud.

The Goddess of the Silvermoon was really interesting. After so long, those guys in the Forest of the Elves nearly cracked their heads open to get this tree out.

And that so-called pureblood Moon Elf Druid recognized by the Goddess of the Hunt instantly became a joke.

Now, is there anyone more genuinely pure than the Moon Elves yet to be born from this tree?

Elves talking about bloodlines now was just a slap in their own faces.

Adrian saw William suddenly floating up high from behind, almost parallel to the moon from the ground.

He probably wanted to confirm if this was indeed the Moon Tree or just a random tree the Goddess of the Silvermoon conjured to scare the elves.

William floated for a while before suddenly putting his hands on his hips and laughing loudly ”The Goddess of the Silvermoon is truly kind-hearted!

These Moon Elves are really lucky! To have a second chance at life!”

Seeing his reaction, everyone understood that it was indeed the tree of the Moon Elves.

Many people floated outside the city, curiously looking at this beautiful silver tree.

Humans had always known that the Moon Elves came from this tree, but it had turned to ashes before humans existed.

No one expected to see it again one day.

Everyone was happy, be they mages or magicians, priests included, pointing and laughing loudly.

Unanimously, they praised the Goddess of the Silvermoon alongside William.

Humans, regardless of their profession or disputes, had felt stifled by the Forest of the Elves lately.

Elves had used many malicious means against humans but never crossed the line where humans would rather perish together than tolerate it.

Or rather, they didn’t cross the line where humans would go all out to annihilate them.

But who wasn’t tired of these elves?

The Dwarves were humans’ biggest enemies, but elves weren’t future friends either.

Who didn’t have a bit of schadenfreude?

Especially in the past couple of days, rumors spread everywhere about the contest for the Lord of the Moon Elves, now exposed to the world.

The previous candidate, regardless of their character, had qualified purely by identity to be the Lord of the Moon Elves.

But now, no so-called Moon Elf could stand before this tree and claim to be the God Master of all Moon Elves.

Adrian didn’t know where things would go. Although humans found it amusing, the elves seemed very anxious.

Even the half-elves.

While Adrian was happily having breakfast atop the Magic Tower, he saw the half-elves who stayed at the inn outside the Lord’s Mansion hurrying to request a meeting with William.

Adrian chuckled and then followed the half-elves straight to the Lord’s Mansion.

William received them in the hall of the Lord’s Mansion.

The half-elves who had been leisurely wandering around Central City suddenly came to bid farewell to William early in the morning. It seemed they knew why their queen roped in that demigod druid.

Otherwise, they wouldn’t have proclaimed her bloodline the purest in human territory.

Unfortunately, even though she hadn’t awakened, she still had the Earth Bear bloodline.

But because of this, she hadn’t entered the Goddess of the Hunt’s Divine Kingdom early like the other Moon Elves.

She had finally become one of the seeds slowly growing on the Moon Tree.

Adrian watched with interest as the half-elves exchanged official pleasantries with William. William followed diplomatic protocol rigorously, performing every step of the farewell ceremony.

He smiled contentedly, watching the half-elves leave the Lord’s Mansion as if a burden had been lifted, dashing straight back to the forest without looking back.

”Adrian.” William called to the guy outside who tried to leave after watching the show.

”Your Majesty the King, any orders?” Adrian bit his tongue. The worst part about watching the show was that someone always tried to give him more work when he was already busy.

”Do you know where Hill is?” William asked directly.

”No.” Adrian shook his head. ”He hid well. I didn’t ask for the exact location.

Your Majesty, if you need him, don’t you know how to contact him? I remember Hill told Spencer.”

”Just wanted to check if he’s in the Triangle Zone.” William smiled. ”If he is, he’s really good at hiding! If he’s using a magic array, can I buy the array diagram? It’s really useful.”

”Sometimes Hill relies on his talent.” Adrian shook his head. ”And with nature’s affection, he can easily accomplish things others find difficult even to start.”

Adrian believed Hill must be hiding underground.

The earth was Hill’s greatest ally. Coupled with the blessing of natural consciousness, no one could find him if Hill didn’t want to be found.

And if there was such a good isolation array, who would sell it!

This wasn’t something the World Will needed, and Hill would never sell it!

Anything with many users would eventually be cracked, and Hill wasn’t foolish.

Did William think Hill was easygoing, so he’d be easy to talk to?
