Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 442: Chapter 241: Virginia’s Goal, Lord of the Moon Elves?

Adrian knew he was dreaming again.

But this was the first time he saw the memories of the Moon Elves.

Although Adrian had always resisted turning into a bear, he never rejected the bloodline of the Earth Bear.

Deep down, he resonated with the Earth Bear, which made his ancestral memories increasingly vivid.

But the Moon Elf had been suppressed by the Earth Bear’s bloodline from the start, and Adrian’s growing disapproval of this race had prevented him from dreaming of the Moon Elves’ memories until now.

Perhaps it was because he knew she was still alive and well, which made him feel slightly relaxed?

Adrian genuinely wanted to know how she had come to this point.

So the inherited memories responded to his desire.

Her dream started with tenderness and love.

And her love began with a beauty rescuing a hero.

Compared to Daddy Bear, who was always immersed in the thoughts of awakening Mother Earth, and the cold-hearted mother who disappeared without a trace as soon as she awoke, the handsome and gentle young elf provided her with more emotional comfort.

The deep friendship of a hundred years with her childhood sweetheart made her believe that she could have the best life even if she left her father.

Though a bit selfish, her father would always be happy if he saw her living well.

Maybe he would be angry for decades, but he was her most loving father! He would surely forgive her.

Perhaps several decades later, she could even bring her child to visit Grandpa Bear.

She indeed lived a good life, even her husband’s parents treated her well.

Ten years later, she gave birth to a beautiful daughter.

She originally planned to take the child alone to visit her father, but her husband was extremely worried, so she ended up taking him along.

However, her father was not at home waiting for her.

She searched everywhere, only to find that the place had been abandoned for a long time.

Even the Earth Bear’s presence was so faint it was almost undetectable.

While she held the child in anguish, her husband’s face changed dramatically and he shot a flaming arrow.

Stiffening, she watched several demigods rush over, sighing that the Clan Leader of the Earth Bear acted decisively, even if it meant abandoning his beloved daughter.

What a pity! If that woman hadn’t immediately abandoned her husband and children and had told the Forest of the Elves directly, it would have been fine.

They must have shown a hint of hostility when they sent someone later to find out the truth, alerting the bear.

Wasting more than a hundred years, they still hadn’t caught him.

Otherwise, they could have wiped out all the Earth Bears by capturing their Clan Leader.

They should have known that places belonging to the Earth Bear were usually inaccessible to those without their bloodline; this was a talent granted by the Earth.

Even carrying a child, the Little Prince shouldn’t have been able to enter directly.

She felt a chill run through her body. The Little Prince? Her husband was supposed to have the Moon Elf bloodline, an ordinary member of the Royal Family?

Could her love have been a lie from the very beginning?

In a daze, she held the child and followed these people back to the Forest of the Elves.

She was placed in a corner of the palace, transforming from the wife of a legendary ranger to the consort of the Little Prince.

That man never came to see her again.

She did not show Adrian much of her later memories, which were filled with the sorrow of discrimination.

She became the child born of a female elf trampled by the Earth Bear.

The Forest of the Elves even had jokes about the Earth Bear favoring Druids.

Her daughter, though not highly regarded, had a decent life by virtue of having royal blood.

She lived in chaos until her daughter suddenly returned, angrily berating her for giving her such disgusting blood. She was not the descendant of a bear.

Her daughter, who could have been an excellent Druid, was completely ruined by those people.

When her daughter hated Druids, no matter how talented she was, she could no longer receive the blessings of nature.

She finally awakened. Her daughter, raised with the education of the Elven Royalty, no longer belonged to her.

Bloodlines only mattered when she wanted them to.

Since she could abandon her father back then, there was nothing surprising about abandoning her daughter now.

She no longer concerned herself with external matters, devoting all her love to nature.

That daughter, true to her nature, didn’t appear again as her mother didn’t want to see her.

Until she was married back into the Moon Elf Royal Family.

Her daughter then remembered that although her mother had the Earth Bear bloodline, she had not awakened, making her essentially a pure-blood Moon Elf.

The Goddess of the Hunt greatly valued pure-blood Moon Elves, requiring her mother’s presence at the wedding to give her blessings.

After hundreds of years, she stepped out of the palace for the first time.

Standing before the Goddess of the Hunt.

At that time, deities could still appear in the world.

The Goddess of the Hunt hadn’t gone too far yet!

The Goddess of the Hunt, initially uninterested, couldn’t help asking upon seeing the bride’s mother: ”Who are you? A pure-blood Moon Elf I don’t know of?”

”She’s my mother!” The daughter interjected.

”What’s your name? How did you end up with that little royal fellow who’s nothing but a pretty face?” The Goddess of the Hunt ignored the daughter, ”Change lovers! He hasn’t even become a demigod yet, what a disappointment. Druids should live freely!”

”I... I am Virginia.” She hadn’t thought of her own name in a long time.

”Virginia, a child born in spring?” The Goddess of the Hunt smiled, ”What a fitting name for a Druid.”

As expected, Virginia gained the attention of the Goddess of the Hunt.

But not in the way her daughter had expected. Virginia did not return to the palace but followed the Goddess of the Hunt back to the pure-blood Moon Elf territory.

The Elven Royalty kept quiet, unwilling to offend the Goddess of the Hunt for someone who was no longer useful.

Virginia knew those demigods had always watched her wild home. But her father, sharp as ever and never trusting the elves’s honor, had never returned.

In the eyes of the Royal Family, she was completely useless.

The Elven Royalty didn’t dare make a scene. If they were to boldly kill an Earth Bear, the Goddess of the Hunt would never allow it.

No matter how foolish, no deity would think killing the child of the Goddess of the Earth would benefit the world.

Virginia glanced in the direction of the palace. Her once-assumed husband had already married another Moon Elf.

Reportedly very beautiful.

So beautiful that even the Elven God King couldn’t help but look twice.

She sneered, following the Goddess of the Hunt without looking back.

Maybe that man was about to marry a wife who’d become an Elf Deity before him.

Just wait! She would be back!

When Adrian woke up, he felt genuinely dizzy.

The messy relationships of elves, their shallow intrigues, wouldn’t succeed even half as much if not for running into a naive and love-struck girl.

If it had been Viola, that so-called Elven Prince would have died in the wilderness long ago.

He walked to his desk and began drawing lines of connection.

The Forest of the Elves had a very simplistic way of distinguishing between elves and Moon Elves: hair color.

Virginia’s husband must have fathered a Moon Elf child who aspired to become the Lord of the Moon Elves.

How was she so confident?

Because she had a mother who had become an Elf Goddess, fueling her ambition to lure Gillenskjaern with a divinity for the God of Half-Elves.

Of course, her mother must have been highly influential with the Elven God King.

To some extent, elves were even more obsessed with bloodlines than nobles.

So, the future Lord of the Moon Elves definitely knew who inherited Viola’s bloodline.

Both Druids, it was impossible that there was no connection between Viola and Virginia.

So she decisively brought out her own father, aiming to entangle Virginia and her father.

Having done so much, it was up to Gillenskjaern to kill Viola.

The plan was thorough; unfortunately, Viola turned out to be a demigod and counterattacked.

But Virginia fulfilled her promise to Gillenskjaern. She could never have guaranteed he would become the God of Half-Elves, only that she would try her best to help.

If not for encountering Viola, they would have succeeded.

Adrian touched the paper, drawing a green circle over the head of the so-called father.

Such unceremonious use, speculating about the true father was necessary.

Adrian suddenly felt that elves were only suited for exploiting opportunities or manipulating schemes. In an outright battle, they were nothing but weaklings.

No wonder dwarves, much weaker in strength, nearly pushed this world into the Abyss.

Elves caused many issues, but they never struck at the world’s true weak points.

On the other hand, dwarves consistently worked to destroy the world, even framing the elves along the way.

The chaotic lifestyle of elves meant their conflicts were only suppressed by the power of the Elven God King.

Uniting them to fight humans would likely mean losing the Forest of the Elves.

Adrian understood Adrian’s temperament, so he waited by the desk.

Sure enough, before long, his cheerful voice rang out: ”Adrian! Queen Viola has publicly declared her divinity as the Guardian of Half-Elves.

The Moon Elf Druid and that Elf Ranger were intercepted in the Forest of the Elves shortly after.

However, the Druid seemed quite powerful, reportedly severely injuring the Ranger.

Their relationship appeared to be that of a Royal Prince who deceived a Moon Elf lover, eventually marrying the most beautiful Moon Elf and abandoning her.

The Half-Elf disclosed this much and nothing more.

However, a rumor emerged that the demigod Druid was once highly valued by the Goddess of the Hunt and was said to be the last pure-blood Moon Elf.

Adrian, is she aiming for the position of Lord of the Moon Elves?”

Adrian smiled faintly; no wonder Virginia would help Viola so much.
