Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 443: Chapter 242 Hill, Do You Mind if I Take Your Moon Tree?

Hill originally wanted to know what the relationship between these two women was.

Family relationships needn’t be mentioned.

Virginia wasn’t some gentle and kind girl. After struggling on her own for so many years, it was impossible she would help Viola just because of their bloodline.

But if a divine position for the Lord of the Moon Elves opened up, then it could indeed motivate Virginia to take action.

Although Virginia wasn’t very smart, her ability to act was definitely strong.

If Viola could persuade her.

A divine position, combined with the opportunity for revenge, it was very natural for Virginia to be tempted.

Was this Viola’s backup plan? To appease all the Moon Elves, there could be no purer elven bloodline than Virginia’s.

But why was Hill so unhappy about this?

Adrian continued speaking from over there, ”His Majesty the King has already invited Queen Viola to meet directly in Central City.

If she feels uneasy, they can talk at the Sunflower Wall outside Central City facing the Forest of the Elves.

Hill, remember? It’s that small forest that the elves also dug out, now occupied by Half-Elves.

Queen Viola agreed but said she would first go to the Forest of the Elves to see the Elf Queen before meeting the King of Saral.

His Majesty the King has now sent some undead to build a palace there, mainly a large banquet hall.

Hill, you might as well wait until this meeting is over before coming out!

Since you’ve chosen to ignore it, there’s no need to become a topic for them.”

After Adrian left, Hill’s mood was still bad.

Logically speaking, Virginia had already received her retribution by encountering a bad person.

But he really didn’t want to see her become a part of the Elf Deity System.

If it weren’t for the vigilance of his ancestors, the Earth Bear might indeed have been eradicated by the elves.

But in Virginia’s memories, Hill could see no regret for almost causing her father’s death.

All she felt was hatred towards the men who deceived her emotions, without even a hint of fear that her father narrowly escaped.

How did the Goddess of the Silvermoon cultivate the Moon Elves back then?

Could such a love-stricken brain become a racial characteristic?

To be honest, although Viola was full of schemes and more like an elf, Hill would rather have such an aunt than Virginia.

Hill sat quietly for a long time, and then received a message from List.

”Sir, a guest is looking for you.”

Hill’s eyes widened in surprise, hearing a very familiar voice from the other side, ”Hill, what are your plans for that Moon Tree?”

Goddess of the Silvermoon!

”Nothing. I was thinking, if you no longer needed them, I’d let them grow on their own.” Hill answered respectfully, ”I think you know their location.”

”Originally, I didn’t want them! Their flaws are too obvious.” The Goddess of the Silvermoon said straightforwardly, ”But now I feel the need to place a Moon Tree on my Silver Ring.

Since they’re having such fun, I’ll add some fuel to the fire!”

”Lister can lead the way for you; you can take them anytime.” Hill could barely contain his excitement in his tone.

The Goddess of the Silvermoon burst into hearty laughter on the other side, ”Little Hill, you find these elves’ actions disgusting too, don’t you? Actually, I didn’t care much at first, but lately, I’ve suddenly felt that the Moon Elves in the Forest of the Elves need to change their race’s name!

They’re not worthy of using the moon!”

The thoughts of the Chaos System Goddess were always unpredictable, so Hill wasn’t too surprised when the Goddess of the Silvermoon suddenly changed her mind.

However, the current Moon Trees were actually cultivated by Hill, so their inherent characteristics should lean towards a part of Hill’s nature.

To be honest, the Goddess of the Silvermoon had too erratic a personality; when she planted the Moon Elves back then, who knows what she was thinking, which resulted in such a strange race.

”Their personality...” Hill said hesitantly.

”Because they were nurtured by you, that’s why I dare take them!” The Goddess of the Silvermoon replied cheerfully, ”If it were me, who knows what they’d turn out to be.

I have no intention of changing the Moon Tree’s ownership; they still belong to your clan. I just need them to be born on the Silver Ring! To inherit the true name of the Moon Elves!

Anyway, Hill wouldn’t need them for anything, would he? Otherwise, he wouldn’t let this tree grow naturally.”

Hill almost sighed. So, you knew you were unreliable?

Hill didn’t mind the Moon Tree being taken away. He had only intended to let them live or perish on their own. If they didn’t want to appear in the outside world, there was still a small world inside the Oak Tree.

However, his concern was whether Moon Elves born on the Silver Ring would still be able to return to the earth?

”If you’re worried, once the Moon Elves are born, you can let them live in that Sea God’s Divine Kingdom?” The Goddess of the Silvermoon said with a sly smile, ”Since they were born in the starry sky, they can innately survive in the Divine Kingdom.”

Hill asked helplessly, ”Will they not be able to return to the earth if they were born in the starry sky?”

”Of course not.” The Goddess of the Silvermoon said with a laugh, ”This tree may seem useless, but it’s a seed generated from the World Tree!

My moonlight can only help it grow quickly, and the power it absorbs in the starry sky is that of the stars.

On earth, it would produce more fruits, but the highest level they could reach would be demigod level, though becoming a god was possible because she was the world’s first elf.

If in the starry sky, the number of fruits would be very few, the time to bear fruits would be long, but they would be born as demigods, growing quickly. The World Will would not allow them to go to the earth.

The former Moon Elves were a mess from my random planting, leading to so many defects.

I was too hasty back then. The Goddess of the Earth had once advised me to think carefully before planting.

Unfortunately, I didn’t listen to her.

And I still thought I had done well.

When I woke up, I was so angry I almost went back to sleep for another several thousand years.

My children turned out to be dumber than low-rank magical beasts!

I really didn’t want them!

But compared to seeing them again, I’d rather see the elves suffer!

As long as they don’t feel good, I’m happy, hehe~”

Hill couldn’t help but sigh heavily, muttering inwardly, chaos deities were truly not to be trifled with!

”If Agleya agrees, I don’t mind the newborn Moon Elves going to her Divine Kingdom.” Hill replied solemnly.

The Goddess of the Silvermoon would not allow Hill’s clan to live on the Silvermoon even if these elves were reborn.

She made it very clear; she wanted the tree to live on the Silver Ring outside the Silvermoon.

Hill had thought the Goddess would revert the Moon Tree back to seed form before re-cultivating it, but he hadn’t expected her to make such a choice.

Turning this matter into a transaction.

The Goddess of the Silvermoon was willing to use her divine power to help these elves be born early, leveraging their reputation to attack the Forest of the Elves currently vying for the position of Lord of the Moon Elves.

The benefit would be that they’d be born as demigods, but the price was they’d never return to earth.

The Goddess of the Silvermoon had no fondness for these former children of hers and didn’t want them to return to the moon.

Even knowing that it was because of her that the Moon Elves were born with so many flaws, she felt no guilt whatsoever.

If Hill didn’t want to take them in either, these Moon Elves would probably wander between the stars, looking for a place to survive.

Hill couldn’t bear to be so heartless; otherwise, he wouldn’t have planted this tree in the first place.

”Of course! Hill Dad’s clan, I will always welcome them, and my Sea God Palace also needs people to manage it.” Agleya answered directly, after listening for who knew how long.

Hill had long since noticed she was listening.

Hill’s domain was already tacitly recognized as Agleya’s territory. Even though the Little Sea God restrained her power, the arrival of other deities still immediately alerted her.

And although the Silvermoon was capricious, she wouldn’t forget the necessary courtesies and would definitely greet Agleya before entering Hill’s valley.

Hill smiled, ”Thank you, Agleya, for your help.”

These Moon Elves, born as demigods and with inherited memories, would be quite suitable for living in the Divine Kingdom as long as their personalities were fine.

But other deities could never accept Hill’s clan under any circumstances.

Only Agleya didn’t care if these Moon Elves might listen to Hill.

Once she received Hill’s permission, the Goddess of the Silvermoon briskly took the Moon Tree away.

Hill also understood why he always felt uneasy about the inside of the Oak Tree.

The moon inside the Oak Tree was made from fragments of the Silvermoon, and the Goddess of the Silvermoon could actually take away the Moon Tree directly through that small moon.

He had wondered how the Goddess of the Silvermoon could bring the Moon Tree back to the Silvermoon with just a phantom projected with a thread of divine power.

It turned out his Oak Tree was a transit station.

”Agleya, do I need to bring the Lake Goddess’s palace into the valley?” Hill asked the little girl quietly. Since the Silvermoon could do this, the Sun surely could as well.

The Silvermoon Wolf God didn’t mind hiding under Silvermoon’s gaze, but Hill found it intimidating.

Fortunately, Agleya was an innate Law God, and both the Silvermoon and the Sun were friendly to her.

Hill decided to move this Oak Tree out of the Magic Tower immediately upon returning.

Even if it got discovered, it didn’t matter. Now, he was strong enough to protect a relic fragment.

”No need!” Agleya shouted loudly, ”I can also transfer things to my Divine Kingdom through the Shell Bed! That’s Hill Dad’s Oak Tree; I won’t let it go to those two!”

Hill tugged at the corners of his mouth, thankful he had always been cautious and never intended to use the Oak Tree himself.

On the contrary, the cedar tree taken away by the Earth Bear was better. Despite being damaged, it had no aftereffects and completely belonged to Aurelio.

However, Hill confirmed one thing: the relationship between the Goddess of the Earth and the Silvermoon and Sun was genuinely good, to the point where they didn’t mind the two’s presence in her divine artifact.

Hill knocked on the table. With such good relations, why were the Sun God and the Goddess of the Silvermoon never in a hurry?

The words the Oak Tree had once said echoed in his mind.

Broken oak tree branches weren’t worth paying attention to; the World Tree would grow a new branch.

Even if those branches contained fragments of the Sun and Silvermoon, it was the same.
