Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 429: Chapter 228: Instructing with Skill, Loving Parents’ Hearts

Hill didn’t know what was happening on the ground, but he didn’t care what others thought.

At most, he would go to console Alice.

Unfortunately, as someone straightforward in the Wood-Earth Element, Hill probably wouldn’t understand the jealousy between two young girls even if he lived another ten thousand years.

He couldn’t have guessed that Alice would become upset because of Agleya’s appearance.

What was there to be upset about? They weren’t even the same kind of being.

Hill stood in the air, watching the Divine Kingdom gradually take shape in Agleya’s hands, his eyes narrowing with laughter.

Even though no normal person could live in that Divine Kingdom.

It was all water.

All sorts of water and ice mountains.

And a beautiful blue crystal palace floating on the water’s surface.

Agleya’s aesthetic was a bit like Hill’s, very minimalist.

Alright, actually it was just plain empty.

Hill looked at the bare house, then at Agleya, who was enduring alternately windy, rainy, and icy weather in the Divine Kingdom, and his smile gradually froze.

Hill was quite good at living; Agleya seemed more like the Lake Goddess?

Could it be that, like her mother, she thought having a bed to lie on was enough?

”Hill,” Fran’s voice rang out.

Hill looked at his grandfather, who was slowly approaching.

”How should I put this?” Fran had an indescribable expression on his face, ”You’ve even raised a God!”

All these years, seeing Hill raise all sorts of things, Fran thought he’d be beyond surprise, even if this kid really raised an Earth Bear.

But today, he was still startled.

Being the closest to Hill, Fran felt the pressure even more acutely.

The little Sea God’s Divine Power was not weaker than the God of Time and Space at her birth.

Here was a naturally born Main God, able to stand shoulder to shoulder with the sun and moon!

Still in the form of a child, who knew how powerful she’d become once fully grown!

Agleya, keenly noticing Hill’s companion, immediately jumped out: ”Ah! Grandfather Fran!”

Fran was stunned for a moment.

He hadn’t expected Hill’s little Water God to call him that.

Gods weren’t the sort to respect someone just because they respected another person.

Could it be that since Hill raised her, she inherited his temperament and personality too?

But when Fran looked at the position again, Hill had undoubtedly chosen the Chaos System.

That kind of respect for Hill, even extending a bit of it to himself, the only elder Hill acknowledged, was extraordinary.

Fran noticed that Agleya addressed him this way without truly seeing him as an elder.

She was just following Hill’s lead in calling Fran what she did.

But Fran still found it incredible.

Is that even possible? How did Hill raise her?

This was just too successful.

Fran squeezed out a faint smile, not quite sure how to address this Sea God in front of him: ”Congratulations! This is a meeting gift.” He handed over a storage ring, his eyes twitching as he glanced at the empty Divine Kingdom.

Agleya excitedly took the ring and turned to Hill.

Hill patted her head: ”Don’t rush to create life in the Divine Kingdom. Observe the water creatures on the land thoroughly first. These are seeds of water plants; use your Divine Power to soak them before placing them in the Divine Kingdom. Don’t worry if they die; only those that survive can forever exist in your Divine Kingdom.

This little box contains some everyday items to use in your palace. If they’re not enough, remember to use your Divine Power to replicate more.

Don’t misuse your Divine Power!

The Gods watching from outside aren’t all friendly toward you!

They’re not bothering you now because your Divine Power is too strong!”

Hill fixed his most important words in his eyes, staring at Agleya, hoping she would understand.

Thinking about the Sun God and the Goddess of the Silvermoon, if not for some luck, the elves and dwarves might be just as cruel but foolish, and with the dragging forces of the Evil God and demons behind them, it wasn’t a certainty they wouldn’t end up like the Goddess of the Earth, forever in slumber.

Agleya nodded: ”Don’t worry, Hill Dad! I’ll definitely protect myself and won’t give those fools any chance. Especially those dwarves! I’ll settle the score with them sooner or later!”

Hill sighed; Agleya’s nature was truly that of a born Sea God.

”I’ve already avenged my matters. You don’t need to intervene.

If they act again, then feel free to do as you wish.

And remember, absolutely do not accept faith.

You’re a naturally born Main God and don’t need those things.

Using faith power to build the perimeter of your Divine Kingdom should keep it separate from the parts you’ve built with your Divine Power.

Remember the tales of the Gods I used to tell you in the valley.

Faith is like a double-edged sword; you never know when its sharp edge will be aimed at you.

Be very careful!”

Agleya pouted, seeing Hill’s serious expression, she knew Hill wouldn’t let her act against the dwarves now.

Still the old saying: Gods for Gods, and humans for humans?

As long as the Dwarf Deity System didn’t act, she couldn’t act.

Of course, that assumed those shorties knew their place. If they dared to lay a hand on her dad Hill again, she’d make sure to flood those fools with seawater.

Agleya held the little box and walked toward her Divine Kingdom, intending to place the furniture and scatter the seeds.

She was sure the seeds Hill gave her were carefully selected and would grow beautifully.

As for the furniture, she’d use what Hill Dad made himself for her resting place and replicate everything else with Divine Power.

Then she paused at the door: ”Hill Dad, you can go back! I’ll need a long time to build everything! Once it’s all done, I’ll tell you to come and see!”

Hill smiled, nodding lightly: ”Alright, it’s true I can’t stay in the starry sky for too long this first time. I’ll head back now.”

Agleya hesitated outside the Divine Kingdom for a while, finally making up her mind: ”Alright, Hill Dad! But you have to think of Agleya every day!”

”I will, I’ll always be thinking of you, Agleya,” Hill knew he had to return.

Both he and Agleya understood why Fran had stepped up.

While Hill’s ability allowed him to enter the starry sky, he wasn’t a Deity.

The unique forces in the starry sky required him to adapt slowly.

Any Legendary who wanted to leave the world’s rules typically needed thousands, if not tens of thousands of years, to adapt fully to the starry sky’s unique laws.

It was already impressive that Hill, on his first venture into the starry sky, could stand there so long without changing his expression.

Hill understood it was because his body was strong enough.

His body felt the heavy pressure, but Hill felt he could endure for a long time.

Hill thought that if he could stay in the starry sky for half a year, he might receive the Earth Bear’s call to plant trees.

The World’s End was exposed to the starry sky, right?

Due to the conflict between the world’s laws and the starry sky’s laws, those peculiar phenomena occurred.

Seeing Agleya’s reluctance, Hill knew it was nearly impossible to leave her alone in her Divine Kingdom for now.

So, he decisively bid her farewell once more, then turned back into the world.

No matter how much he didn’t want to leave her alone in the Divine Kingdom, Hill couldn’t do much else and promised to watch the starry sky daily.

Hill couldn’t survive in Agleya’s Divine Kingdom.

Unless he wanted to lose himself.

Agleya understood that very well, so she always thought about living with Hill on the land at first, but that was no longer possible.

Fran, following behind him, couldn’t help but look back at the little goddess, nearly tearful.

”Agleya won’t cry. She just wants me to look at her more,” Hill said with a hint of helplessness to Fran once he stepped into the world membrane, ”Don’t let her cute appearance fool you; she’s a Main God with powerful Divine Power! Besides, tears are water; she can always have them in her eyes.”

Fran shook his head: ”As long as you understand. When you go out next time, don’t stay too long. Even with your strong body, you need to adapt gradually.”

Hill nodded: ”Don’t worry, Grandfather. I don’t feel any discomfort.”

Hill heard Fran click his tongue lightly, likely muttering something about the Earth Bear under his breath.

Fran didn’t ask about the little Water God. What was there to ask?

Having the benefits in hand was good enough.

Would the dwarves still dare to attack Hill now?

Weren’t they afraid the entire Dwarf Kingdom would be flooded?

Fran believed that with Agleya’s strength, she could absolutely ensure that no forge in the Dwarf Kingdom would ever light a fire again.

In this world, there wasn’t a Fire God who could contend with Agleya!

Quite a pleasant thought.

”What did you give Agleya, Grandfather?” Hill asked curiously.

”Some puppets,” Fran responded nonchalantly, ”Similar to the cooking puppet I gave your Tower Spirit. Once activated with Divine Power, they should gradually adapt to her Divine Kingdom.

Otherwise, the little girl would be too lonely.”

Hill smiled slightly: ”The plant seeds I gave Agleya, once they grow, will be highly intelligent and can play with her. But she’ll need to nurture them herself to attune them to her Divine Kingdom’s aura.”

Fran nodded.

Hill had indeed become too accustomed to using seeds: ”You haven’t forgotten your Main Law is Earth, have you?”

”Of course not!” Hill chuckled, ”Don’t worry, Grandfather! The power of the Earth is always with me.”

Fran frowned in silence.

Hill’s words had an underlying meaning.

Another unspeakable matter? Fran shook his head helplessly; his grandson lived a seemingly peaceful life but was involved in affairs he couldn’t even touch.

From his Mage phase, it seemed like he was always causing trouble.

The two of them stood high in the air, with rain falling on every corner of the land below.

While the conditions in other places were unknown, in Hill’s valley, the rain fell especially gently.

Hill’s Fountain Pond now spouted nothing but Holy Water.

This was where the Water God had been born.

The site of an innate miracle.
