Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 426: Chapter 225: Agleya, Birth of the Water God!

As Hill predicted, although the first task for the Undead Tribe upon entering the valley was still to consort with Magical Beasts, those who succeeded in doing so had their attention drawn to the fountain area, which they suddenly found themselves unable to enter.

They could see it clearly, yet couldn’t access it, causing almost excessive excitement among the Undead.

Every day, dozens of the Undead, who orbited the fountain’s perimeter, could only leave the area under the guidance of List.

Many of the Undead, while not entering themselves, quite enjoyed watching the spectacle from the periphery.

Clearly, those outside could see those inside were merely circling the Fountain Pond.

But no matter how loudly they shouted, those inside behaved like headless flies, crashing about in confusion.

The Undead soon discovered that Hill had dropped a beautiful small ball in the fountain.

It was exquisitely transparent and especially good-looking.

List had seen Old Cat browsing their forum.

There were not only full-close-up photos of the Exquisite Sphere on the forum, but also a betting pool on what exactly Hill’s small ball was used for.

The Water Series Demigod Artifact was currently the most popular choice.

Hill really didn’t expect the Undead Tribe to think so highly of him. Did they really think that if Fran could do it, so could he?

Even though Hill was indeed an Alchemist Master, creating a Demi-God Artifact might take up to a hundred years.

Hill initially wanted to stop the Undead’s antics, but Spiral Pearls really enjoyed it.

She was delighted watching the Undead shout and wander aimlessly around her daily.

Hill gave up; they might as well watch each other, which was also quite pleasant.

Although it had only been a few days since he returned home, the sunny and tranquil days made Hill, who sat in the study looking down at the playful Undead, feel very content.

They had already started to bring Magical Beasts in, possibly hoping these beasts could intuitively find a way through.

Of course, that was just wishful thinking.

One temperamental giant elephant even swung its Animal Companion around in the air using its trunk.

The giant elephant had never wanted to enter this Illusion Array, but its companion insisted on sharing their fortunes and misfortunes together.

It now regretted being too soft-hearted; what use were such large ears if they didn’t block out this nonsense?

It wasn’t long before the giant elephant realized that it was doomed.

Luckily, Hill was a Legendary with a good temper; otherwise, it would have died alongside its chosen companion before even leaving the valley.

Naturally, the valley’s Magical Beasts also knew about this Illusion Array, watching the Undead’s circular antics from afar.

Otherwise, Hill wouldn’t have taken such a risk.

But this companion still wanted to drag Hill along for a run; that was when the giant elephant got upset.

It would rather stand here and wait to be led out by List at the end than join its Animal Friend in providing entertainment for those outside.

It must have been out of its mind to believe that a Knight could genuinely find a method to break in or out of the Illusion Array.

Hill laughed heartily, not sure why, but Undead Knights often exhibited such unique thinking.

Perhaps it’s because a Knight could still manage fine even if acting recklessly?

Hill’s smile swiftly disappeared as dark clouds suddenly gathered in the sky.

The wind picked up, and a sudden downpour began.

Hill felt the oppressive weight of World Rules pressing down as he stood and walked out to the terrace.

As the storm passed by Hill, it gently swirled around him.

The Undead had already sensed something was amiss and were now crouched under large trees, sheltering from the rain while either recording or live streaming the fountain.

Hill looked up at the rapidly approaching flash of lightning and roar of thunder, only able to wish them luck.

It was normal for the Undead to realize that the strange phenomenon originated from the fountain, as by now, the Exquisite Sphere had already ascended into midair.

In its spiraling motion, it slowly blossomed into a beautiful Crystal Flower.

The heart of the flower was a massive Spiral Pearl, shimmering with multicolored light.

The pressure from the World Rules grew increasingly intense, so much so that even Hill found it difficult to move.

He stood quietly on the terrace.

The birth of a deity didn’t require Hill to activate any defenses.

List had even turned off the most basic Defensive Magic Array.

It wouldn’t be good if some element needed during the deity’s birth were isolated outside.

After all, no one could harm such a naturally born Law Deity under the scrutiny of World Rules.

A deity indeed can be killed, but not one that is still being born.

When a deity ascending to its Divine Throne through faith, World Will would provide total protection, not to mention one that is born naturally.

It had been tens of thousands of years, and this was the first Innate Deity to appear since the pair of sisters from the lake and the spring water.

And it was from the Water System.

Probably because the Water System was the most intact natural law in this world.

The Fire Element had partly been claimed by the Dwarves.

So Hill wasn’t concerned about someone trying to snatch the treasure.

If someone was foolish enough to believe this was a Divine Artifact and came to fight over it, even Draculus would be doomed.

Hill was completely immobilized.

But he could actually still speak.

The Undead Tribe had already started to exclaim and shout; they weren’t fools and had thought of the scenario when the God of Time and Space ascended to the Divine Throne.

”What exactly has Hill raised? Even deities can be raised?”

Hill heard this shout with a twitch in the corner of his eye.

”It’s all over! I’ve lost everything! Wasn’t this an option? Did the bookie sweep it all?”

This guy probably bet his entire fortune.

After all, since they were betting with forum currency, going bankrupt didn’t actually hurt anyone, so Hill shifted his gaze indifferently.

Suddenly, a barrage of thunder struck down.

The Spiral Pearls abruptly jumped up, emitting dazzling light amid strings of pearl-like lightning.

When the light faded, a beautiful, well, adorable goddess appeared in the sky.

She was clad in a white flowing robe and looked very pretty.

Her long, water-blue hair cascaded around her feet.

Her eyes were bright and clear, sparkling like a myriad of stars.

If she grew up, she would definitely be a goddess who turns the world upside down with her beauty.

But right now, she looked only about eleven or twelve years old.

The lovely little girl held a sparkling golden trident in her left hand and an Exquisite Sphere in her right, and she spoke with a clear voice, ”I am Agleya! Sea God Agleya!

I represent the Water Law, and I govern all the seas!

I can bring about storms, tsunamis, freeze!

Of course, I can also bestow upon you calm seas and tinkling spring water.

Do not anger me! The sea can testify how mighty my wrath can be!

Damn World Will! Get lost! I don’t want to leave the earth!”

Although her words earlier were very divine, the last sentence betrayed her actual age and her little temper.

Hill couldn’t help but sigh.

His initial preparations had spread Agleya’s name throughout the entire Undead Tribe immediately. The good thing was that her Divinity stabilized completely as she spoke.

The drawback was that she seemed unable to stay on earth.

Agleya struggled for a long time, not knowing what she was doing over there, but eventually she rushed towards Hill on the terrace quickly.

”Hill’s Dad! Come and live in my Divine Kingdom! I can only stay for a while!”

By then, Hill could not care less about the whistles and cheering from the Undead below: ”Little Hill has become a dad eh~”

”I am a Mage, Agleya,” Hill patted the little girl’s hair in his arms, ”Why are you so young?”

”Although my Divine Soul power has been replenished, my innate power is still lacking,” mumbled Agleya, ”They were very much in love, so they would rather dig me out than her live with me.

I know they love me, but I am never the most important.

Whether it’s the silly woman or the stupid dog, they loved each other more.

Hill’s Dad, if I’m not by your side, will you quickly forget about me?”

”How could I? Agleya is so cute and beautiful!” Hill said sincerely.

”But I don’t want to leave Hill’s Dad,” Agleya suddenly shouted loudly, ”I heard that the Old Cat had already scrammed, and that’s why I hurried out! But why can’t I stay after coming out? I should have just continued being a bead!”

”But I am Legendary, Agleya.” Hill couldn’t help but laugh, the little girl was quite cunning, ”I can leave the earth and go to the starry sky to see you. Even if I cannot live in your Divine Kingdom, there’s no problem visiting Agleya.”

”Really?” Agleya’s eyes widened with longing, and Hill’s heart softened instantly, ”You ascend to the starry sky then! I’ll accompany you, Agleya will protect me, right?”

”I’ll place my Divine Kingdom right next to the World Membrane!” Agleya clenched her trident, ”That way, as soon as Hill comes out, I can see him! Anyone who dares to touch Hill, I will stab to death!”

Hill knew where Agleya’s confidence came from—although she was newly born, she was as powerful as the Goddess of the Silvermoon.

Moreover, Hill felt that he might have raised a being of the Chaos System.

Could it be because she had some connection to the Silvermoon System?

Agleya’s style of doing things was very much like a tornado at sea.

”Your Divine Kingdom, find the most appropriate place.” Hill still couldn’t help but caution her, ”Don’t mess around. How about near the Goddess of the Silvermoon?”

”I don’t want to!” Agleya gritted her teeth, ”Who wants to stay with a stupid dog! He spoke ill of you in my things! I don’t want to deal with him! I’ve had memory since I was young! I know everything! I won’t just believe whatever anyone says!”

Hill had actually guessed this a long time ago.

It would be strange if the Silvermoon Wolf God didn’t do this.

He felt that since he paid, Hill was merely hired as a babysitting nanny.

If the Spiral Pearls had no sentience, perhaps they would have believed their own uncle’s words.

Unfortunately, it seemed Agleya always had sentience.

”When did you first have memory?” Hill couldn’t help but ask. If it was also during those years in the sea, then Agleya was really pitiful.

”After being taken out from the stomach, I had lost consciousness,” Agleya said briskly, ”Later when I woke up, I saw Hill!

Hill’s scent is so gentle! Just the family I wanted!”

Although she had no consciousness, those years in the sea must have still been lonely, right? Hill stroked her hair again: ”Agleya, do you want to leave a mark in the valley, so you can watch over this place at any time?”

”Can I?” Agleya’s eyes shone brightly.

”Of course! This is Agleya’s home. In your own home, you can do whatever you want.” Hill said tenderly, but very firmly.
