Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Thinking about it, after all, Jing Chaoyi took over this bed and breakfast business from someone else. There must be reasons why others couldn’t keep it open or didn’t make as much money as they expected.

However, Li Younan didn’t voice these thoughts.

At this point, Jing Chaoyi had already invested most of her savings into the venture. It hadn’t even started yet, and pouring cold water on her efforts would certainly be damaging.

Her bed and breakfast only has 8 rooms, and each room is distinctly exquisite.

Previously, Jing Chaoyi claimed she was visiting Li Younan to inspect a B&B, but now it seems a bit unbelievable, because each of Jing Chaoyi’s rooms is highly finished with hardly any space for renovation.

However, at the moment, some of her permits haven’t been obtained, and the house has only just completed its renovation.

Jing Chaoyi mentioned she planned to let it air out for a bit more to make sure the formaldehyde disperses.

Li Younan has also helped his grandfather, so he knows roughly how a B&B operates.

If it’s just 8 rooms, it’s actually quite easy to manage, and if you wish to save costs, one person can handle it.

Of course, Jing Chaoyi could hire a local auntie to do the cleaning, but she doesn’t seem to have any plans in this regard yet, waiting until the official opening to start these tasks.

Each room was left open.

As the B&B owner, Jing Chaoyi certainly reserved a room for herself.

This room was previously occupied by the landlord, and has the standard B&B decor, but it was done much earlier, so doesn’t have the fresh renovation smell.

She said to Li Younan and Liu Li, ”You two should sleep here tonight.”

Liu Li hurriedly asked, ”What about you?”

Jing Chaoyi said with a chuckle, ”No worries, I’ll just pick any room to sleep in.”

Liu Li frowned, ”That’s not okay, aren’t those rooms just freshly renovated and still have formaldehyde?”

”They won’t, there isn’t that much formaldehyde. This room’s location is great, and it’s quiet at night, I can sleep upstairs.”

Li Younan knew, as kind-hearted as Liu Li is, she wouldn’t want Jing Chaoyi to be at a disadvantage.

He chuckled and suddenly suggested, ”How about going camping tonight?”

Jing Chaoyi and Liu Li were momentarily stunned.

”Camping at the beach should be quite interesting, right? Is there a suitable spot?”

Jing Chaoyi regained her composure, nodding, ”Yes, there are plenty of places!”

...

In the evening, they decided to camp by the Yangtze River.

The environment here is tranquil, with no signs of overdevelopment.

As the night fell, a huge red sun hung in the sky, dyeing the riverbank beautifully.

Flocks of migratory birds occasionally flew by, the reeds by the riverside swayed with the wind, there were no streetlights, just pure natural scenery.

Li Younan was preparing dinner.

Tonight’s dinner was simple; Li Younan had brought a small portable charger and a mini electric griddle from the B&B, frying pancakes and rolling them up with special fillings.

Beside them were two small tents pitched nearby, one large and one small, nestled close together.

One was surely for Li Younan and Liu Li to sleep in... or perhaps it could become Jing Chaoyi and Liu Li sharing, leaving him with a tent alone.

Li Younan felt a bit helpless thinking about how Jing Chaoyi often ruined his plans; he needed to find a chance to properly deal with her next time.

Meanwhile, the two girls had already wandered off, chatting and walking.

”Sister Long, would you like to be my best friend forever?”

”Huh? Why do you ask that? Of course, I would.”

”It’s nothing, just feels like although we haven’t known each other for very long, it seems like we’ve been friends for ages.”

”That means we really get along, hehe.”

”Sister Long, you’re so cute.”

Beep beep beep.

Suddenly, Jing Chaoyi’s phone rang. She slowly took out her phone, and when she saw the caller ID, she paused for a moment, then fell silent.

Liu Li tilted her head and asked, ”What’s wrong? Is it inconvenient to answer? Should I step aside?”

Jing Chaoyi regained her composure and smiled, ”No it’s okay.”

Then she clicked to answer the call right in front of Liu Li.

There was a man’s voice on the other end: ”I’ve arrived at Hengsha Island and came to find you.”

Jing Chaoyi hesitated for a moment, ”What are you doing here?”

”Would I not come just because you said so? I heard you opened a B&B here, so I came to check it out.”

Usually always laughing and joking, Jing Chaoyi now was expressionless, making Liu Li feel uneasy.

Jing Chaoyi said, ”I don’t want to see you.”

”Don’t be so heartless. I’m driving, tell me your location, I’ll come right to you.”

Jing Chaoyi glanced at Liu Li next to her, who felt awkward, as though she stumbled upon some important secret. She offered, ”I, I can step aside.”

Jing Chaoyi shook her head, ”No need.” Then said to the phone, ”Okay, come find me then, but don’t take too long, I’ll only give you 10 minutes for a meeting and then leave.”

After Jing Chaoyi sent her location, within minutes, a black sedan drove over.

Seeing the car, Liu Li was stunned, then glanced at Jing Chaoyi, who was uncharacteristically serious.

There was also someone in the passenger seat, seemingly a young woman, but it was hard to see her face clearly.

The next moment, both individuals in the car got out.

The light was a bit dim, Liu Li couldn’t clearly see how the person opposite looked, just vaguely distinguished a tall man with a dashing hairstyle, giving off a rather careless vibe, with stubble that made it hard to determine his age.
