Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

But when he actually went back, every time he video-called her, it was all stealthy, as if dating her was something shameful.

Li Younan had teased Liu Li about this before, though teasing was just teasing—he understood that Liu Li was just shy and temporarily not ready to let her brother know.

On another day, Li Younan drove his mom back to town for work, then parked the Unimog and the small trailer at his grandpa’s house.

To be honest, after living in an RV for some time, Li Younan really started to enjoy the feeling of it. Although it wasn’t as spacious as a big house, for one person or even with a girl, this small but fully-equipped space gave a wonderfully charming sense of satisfaction.

During the day, he would stay at his grandpa’s house, enjoying the leisurely and relaxed rural life. After finishing work, he would drive to town to accompany his mom.

This kind of life only lasted for two days. One day, while he was fishing in the small yard by the river behind his grandpa’s house, his phone rang.

It was a video call from Jing Chaoyi, which surprised Li Younan a bit. Without thinking too much, he answered.

”Senior, where are you? I saw it seems like you’re already back in Chengdu, is that right?”

Li Younan showed Jing Chaoyi the place he was at, ”Do you know where this is?”

”Senior, you’re at your grandpa’s house, right? I recognized it right away.”

Li Younan was a bit surprised because he had indeed included his grandparents’ house in a previous video, but it had been a while, and he didn’t expect Jing Chaoyi to recognize it instantly.

Then Jing Chaoyi suddenly flipped the camera around and said proudly, ”Senior, look where I am?”

Li Younan’s expression froze slightly because the scene in the video was Anchan County No. 1 High School.

Li Younan blinked, ”You... you came to Anchan County?”

”Yes, senior, I’m at the gate of your alma mater, hehe.”

Li Younan chuckled, ”You came without notifying me in advance, what brought you here?”

Jing Chaoyi turned the camera back, her youthful and energetic face filled the screen again, ”What can I do here? I don’t know anyone else here, of course I came to find you, senior.”

Li Younan was slightly taken aback.

”Oh dear, senior, what’s with that expression? Don’t worry, I’m not here for you; I have something to ask you.”

”What is it?”

”Didn’t I tell you last time? I plan to run a B&B by the sea, but I have no experience, so I came to ask you for some advice.”

”Asking me for advice?” Li Younan laughed, ”I’m not running a B&B either.”

”But you helped your grandparents renovate their old house and made a few B&B rooms. I think you did an amazing job, so I wanted to come see it for myself. Are you going back to town, senior?”

It was still morning, and Li Younan quietly packed up his fishing rod. It was only right that as the host, he should go meet Jing Chaoyi who had come all the way to Anchan County and said, ”Find a place to sit for a while, I’ll drive over to meet you, and we’ll have lunch together.”

Jing Chaoyi said happily, ”Then see you soon, senior.”

”Okay.”

”By the way, senior, is there a swimming pool in your town?”

Li Younan was taken aback, recalling that the last time he spent time with Jing Chaoyi was in Changsha, and the time before that was in Xiamen.

At that time, he hadn’t acquired swimming skills, especially in Xiamen, where he stayed with Jing Chaoyi for a week, so Jing Chaoyi probably didn’t know he had become quite the swimmer.

”There’s a swimming pool. Why, do you want to swim?”

Anchan County is actually a bit hotter than Chengdu, and by mid-to-late May, it was already getting a bit warm.

Jing Chaoyi gently wiped the sweat from her forehead and said, ”I’m about to head to the seaside, so I need to practice swimming a bit more.”

But she had a bit of a hidden agenda for wanting to find a swimming pool.

This little scheme, she of course wouldn’t tell Li Younan...

She knew that Li Younan didn’t know how to swim.

She had known this secret since they were in college, that the senior was a landlubber.

And this time, she proposed swimming with a very legitimate reason—since she was about to run a B&B by the sea, she should definitely learn how to swim. But the real reason was: the senior couldn’t swim, so she could use teaching as a pretext to get closer to him.

”See you soon!”
