Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

On the way there, we took the 318 National Highway, but on the way back, there’s really no need to make ourselves suffer like that again.

Toward Chengdu, there are quite a few places along the way where highways have been built, and since there’s no strong desire to linger along the way, we can just drive straight back without much rest.

Of course, energy is always limited. The entire journey is nearly 2,000 kilometers, and most of it is still on the 318 National Highway. Although I don’t mind, Liu Li would be worn out if we didn’t rest for so long.

Hence, it took Li Younan four days to drive back to Chengdu.

By the time we got back to Chengdu, it was already mid-May, and Chengdu was noticeably getting a bit warmer.

As the skyscrapers of Chengdu appeared before us, Liu Li, sitting in the passenger seat, said with quite a feeling: ”I used to stay at home all the time and never went out, thinking I really loved the scenery outside. But after really going on a trip on the 318, I found that it’s still modern society, the city is more comfortable to live in.”

Liu Li said seriously: ”Living somewhere and traveling are really different.”

Li Younan nodded and laughed: ”Even in this era, the western regions are not that developed; it’s nice to experience it.”

Liu Li felt that this trip had made her complete.

When the car drove into the toll station and stopped in the parking area in front of the toll station, Li Younan hesitated for a moment and stopped the car.

Liu Li asked curiously: ”What’s the matter?”

Li Younan said: ”By the way, is your brother at home?”

As soon as her brother was mentioned, Liu Li’s expression changed slightly, her eyes went wide and bulging.

She looked at Li Younan and saw a smile in his eyes.

Even now, her brother still doesn’t know about her and Li Younan.

Reflecting on this journey, Liu Li actually had some little thoughts that she hadn’t shared with Li Younan, secretive territory within her heart.

That is, since the first avalanche, the significance of this journey had changed for her.

To put it bluntly, deep down, she considered this trip as her last journey.

That day the avalanche almost buried the car, making her realize just how small humans were in the face of nature.

It’s often not about humans challenging or conquering nature, but nature accepting humans.

What if it didn’t accept her and Li Younan?

Though during the trip, Li Younan made her feel secure, she couldn’t help but think: what if something irreversible happened on the 318 journey, and she and Li Younan died on the road... This kind of thought was indeed somewhat pessimistic, but if she spoke out, she would definitely be scolded by Li Younan, yet that’s truly how she felt.

Once she determined the tone of this journey, everything afterward had a starting point... geared towards a mindset of seizing the moment.

That’s why she had the thought of pressing Li Younan onto the bed.

That’s why she wanted to completely give herself to him, and also receive his daring complete.

That’s why, even though she knew skiing down Mount Everest was dangerous, she didn’t express any concern... because at that moment, she really thought, if Li Younan had an accident, she wouldn’t live either.

With this mindset, every day of the journey was precious to her.

And after cherishing it, every minute and second spent becomes valuable wealth, with an ultimate beautiful experience.

However, once back in Chengdu, everything was different.

That reckless and fearless mindset disappeared, and she had to replant herself in reality. No matter what she did or said, she had to consider tangible things now, emotions and experiences could no longer take precedence.

The first issue to face was how to tell her brother about this.

No, to be precise, that’s the second step. The first step is whether she should explain to her brother that she is now Li Younan’s girlfriend.

Hmm... She suddenly tilted her head, realizing Li Younan had never explicitly said she was his girlfriend?

She also never clearly pointed out he was her boyfriend.

”Li Younan, what are we?” she suddenly asked, out of the blue.

Li Younan looked at Liu Li with a strange expression: ”What do you think we are?”

Liu Li lowered her head deeply: ”We are a couple with an unbreakable bond until death.”

Li Younan felt somewhat amused. This young girl was like that, not having encountered many rough, greasy people, her feelings towards love were different from those of a thirty-year-old woman; she often casually brought up matters of life and death.

It was somewhat immature, but not annoying.

The reason it wasn’t annoying was because it was sincere, and the simplest way to make others feel sincerity is to truly be sincere.

However, Liu Li was now becoming tangled, like a deflated balloon, she sighed slightly.

Though she could banter with Li Younan, whether to tell her brother about this was the real issue.

Before leaving Chengdu, her brother had repeatedly urged her to not only protect herself but also gave her a large sum of money, ensuring she would fight to pay during her time with Li Younan.

It was to avoid owing Li Younan too much.
