Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

The interview is scheduled for a month later, but the location still needs further consideration.

In fact, Li Younan hasn’t even decided on how to assess the chief engineers.

For Li Younan, the position of chief engineer is the most crucial, after all, he can act as the captain himself, and the first officer merely assists the captain. If necessary, it’s not a big deal to be without a first officer.

However, the chief engineer is different. The chief engineer needs to spend a large amount of time and energy on the ship’s power system every day, making it an essential position.

During this month, Li Younan can think carefully about how to evaluate them.

His initial idea is to find a real application scenario, like getting an actual ship and integrating equipment on board to evaluate them from a practical perspective.

But that’s not an easy thing to accomplish, as getting a ship requires specific connections and resources.

Li Younan discussed this idea with Gao Tiande.

Gao Tiande was more than happy to help Younan and said, ”I need to talk to a friend, I’ll contact you once there’s a result.”

With this settled, Younan found himself with nothing much to do for the moment.

He had been at home for quite a while, and with just a few days to go until June, it would officially enter the hot weather period.

Having rested at home for quite a long time, Younan felt the urge to go out and take a stroll.

This time, he planned to head to coastal areas.

After spending so much time in the mountainous areas of Route 318, even though there are many places in the west he hasn’t visited, like at the foot of the Mountain Tian and the Kunlun Mountain range, a change of scenery is always good.

Coincidentally, Jing Chaoyi had a project with her homestay, so it was the perfect opportunity for Younan to go to Shanghai.

Over a long period, Younan had traveled extensively and gained many skills related to water.

Now he not only mastered swimming, diving, and surfing skills.

Except for trying out swimming in the pool, he hadn’t really used the other skills, so he was itching to try them.

Previously, he acquired skiing skills and the thrill of skiing down the snow mountain was an experience that no other travel could replace.

For Younan, travel is about tranquility and excitement.

He can quietly explore a museum to experience the local culture and history, or long for the artistic environment of places like the Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, absorbing its essence in peace.

At the same time, he craves the thrill of speed and height, feeling his heartbeat accelerate.

There are many exhilarating experiences comparable to skiing and rappelling, and surfing is undoubtedly one of them.

Last time he went to Xiamen, he couldn’t surf yet, and he had already seen surfers riding small waves at the beach then.

This time, Younan’s plan was to find a suitable place and truly enjoy the fun of surfing.

There’s no place suitable for surfing in Shanghai.

Just being by the sea doesn’t make it a surfing spot.

To surf, the most crucial condition is having waves, and second, the surfing area must be in shallow waters, be it a sandy beginner’s wave area or an expert’s reef break, all should have a gradual entry.

Of course, for an expert like Younan, these conditions are not rigid. Under extreme conditions, he can even try surfing some deep-sea waves.

The direction for the next trip was set, and this time, Younan could take Jing Chaoyi and Liu Li along to the seaside.

Before setting off, a very important thing was to arrange for the care of the two silly birds.

This time, Younan did not plan to bring the two birds along.

He decided to let them stay temporarily at his grandparents’ place.

In fact, compared to the relatively more foolish Tuantuan, Younan was not too concerned, but Xuanhuan was indeed too mischievous.

Having always lived with him and Liu Li, as a crow, it didn’t have a clear sense of the dangers posed by humans.

Lacking boundaries with humans is definitely not a good thing.

Thus, to make Xuanhuan realize that not all humans are friendly to birds, Younan found many videos online of humans bullying birds, especially crows, for it to watch.

Afterwards, he even invited a villager to perform a chicken slaughter in front of Xuanhuan.

At that moment, Xuanhuan looked on curiously at the chicken being slaughtered, until the dedicated villager, holding a knife, approached it, and finally, Xuanhuan realized the seriousness of the problem.

However, instead of leaving, it hid behind Younan.

It’s undeniable that the crow’s intelligence was perfectly demonstrated at that moment.

This indicates that crows can distinguish good from bad humans.

It doesn’t extend its dislike or fondness to an entire group; in its mind, there’s a concept of good and bad people.

Is this reasonable?

Subsequently, Younan seriously told Xuanhuan to trust no one except for himself, Sister Long, and grandparents.

Of course, it’s uncertain whether this silly bird could understand, but this was all Younan could do. He couldn’t lock Xuanhuan up.

Luckily, the bird had become smart enough to learn how to charge its own sports camera. Every day, it would dutifully put on the sports camera before flying out for a stroll.
