Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

His camera was aimed at the path beneath his feet.

Undoubtedly, this had the hearts of those watching his live stream in their throats.

Many places were only a few centimeters wide, not even enough for a single foot to fully stand on.

However, on such a path, Li Younan was not worried at all.

Firstly, there was a rope route, and secondly, with his top-notch climbing skills, walking this path was no different from walking on flat ground for him.

Each step of his crampons precisely landed in the rock crevices.

The only trouble was that the wind was a bit strong, occasionally blowing ice shards onto his goggles.

Because Li Younan wasn’t carrying oxygen bottles and was traveling light, he was much more agile.

After the audience watched for a while, their tense hearts gradually began to relax.

So steady, every step of Li Younan was so steady!

He almost didn’t expose himself to any danger, every step was as steady as an old dog.

Obviously, Li Younan was about to make history.

Due to the terrain, it wasn’t convenient to use a panorama camera here, so Li Younan put the panoramic camera away.

The live stream at this moment was only provided by the action camera mounted on his head.

When Li Younan pointed the camera at the side of the mountain wall or upwards, it even gave the illusion that Mount Everest was nothing special.

Only when he occasionally stopped to rest, turned his head to look toward the bottom of Mount Everest, and looked at his feet, did the suffocating abyssal pressure remind the audience of how thrilling and exciting Li Younan’s journey was.

Along the traverse path, Li Younan sequentially passed the First Step and the Second Step.

These steps are several meters high vertical cliffs, but since predecessors had set up metal ladders on them, it was not difficult for Li Younan.

However, this place remains a test of the psychological strength and physical endurance of ordinary climbers.

The time passed by the minute and second.

Setting off at dawn, Li Younan witnessed the sun gradually rising, accompanied throughout by the audience in the live stream, with the number still increasing.

Unknowingly, several hours passed, and as Li Younan climbed a rock face and looked up, the famous Third Step was already ahead.

Upon seeing the metal ladder at the Third Step—known as the ”Chinese Ladder”—Li Younan couldn’t help but say with some emotion, ”In 1960, the Chinese mountaineering team members Wang Fuzhou, Qu Yinhua, and Gongbu were the first to reach here, also the first to see this 6-meter-high rock face.”

”Liu Lianman voluntarily squatted down to let his teammates climb on his shoulders. Qu Yinhua even used steel pitons barefoot in minus 30 degrees to secure, and the three finally succeeded in reaching the summit.”

”This was the original Chinese ladder, a lifeline built with flesh and blood.”

”Later in 1975, the Chinese mountaineering team set up this metal ladder, which during its 33 years of service until its retirement in 2008, allowed over 1,300 climbers worldwide to reach the summit through it.”

As Li Younan spoke, he arrived in front of the ladder.

The current Chinese Ladder was replaced after 2008.

Yet, feeling this milestone in Chinese mountaineering history, Li Younan was somewhat invigorated.

This marvel witnessed the leap from the impossible to the possible by the Chinese.

Without the slightest danger, Li Younan climbed the Chinese Ladder.

Further up, there was a height difference of only about 100 meters, which was the summit of Mount Everest.

The road ahead was slopes, traversed cliffs, rocks covered with tightly packed snow.

Of course, a height difference does not equate to distance; ordinary climbers might need one or two hours to traverse, while top climbers would need more than 40 minutes.

At this moment, what Li Younan didn’t know was that during his journey from the Third Step to the summit, audiences frantically poured into various streaming platforms, even causing some platforms’ live streams to crash.

The global simultaneous viewership reached a staggering level.

Just over 20 minutes later, Li Younan had already smoothly reached the summit of Mount Everest.

Standing there and looking down was indeed a very peculiar experience.

The sight penetrated the extremely thin air, even to hundreds of kilometers away at the horizon.

The summit platform was only a few square meters, the snow pressed tightly, the wind strong, and now that the snow had stopped, the sky was a pure deep blue, without a single cloud.

He was certain that he was the first to climb Mount Everest today, and upon reaching here, he also completed the first check-in task—summiting Mount Everest.

[Check-in completed]

[Skill acquired: Parachuting]

[With multiple skill bonuses from the host, Parachuting skill + Level 2]

[Parachuting skill level 3: The law of gravity becomes a malleable fluid in your eyes, the trajectory from ten thousand meters high to landing point becomes an arc drawn at will. Future high-altitude jumpers will spend their entire careers trying to replicate your fleeting moment of graceful descent.]

As soon as he gained this skill, Li Younan suddenly felt that his slight high-altitude reaction on Mount Everest immediately disappeared.

Not only did his temples stop aching, but his entire body also became exceptionally light.

He was somewhat amazed; this meant that in addition to his previous high-altitude bloodline physique, he had further enhanced this aspect of his physical abilities.

Moreover, a plethora of knowledge about parachuting flooded into his mind, and at this moment, Li Younan roughly understood what physical traits were enhanced by the parachuting skill.
