Divine Level Witch Doctor

Before he could finish, Genji Doju interrupted, ”There’s no more time. Liu Lili’s condition has greatly improved under Zhao Yuan’s treatment, and it’s only getting better!”

”How is that possible?!” Kawashima Haruhiro cried out in shock.

Ever since the competition began, he had been stumped by his own illness, focusing all his energy on researching a cure for himself. He hadn’t paid any attention to Zhao Yuan’s side. Besides, he had always firmly believed that Liu Lili’s illness was incurable, untreatable by anyone.

Now, hearing Genji Doju’s words, he couldn’t believe it was true.

His junior brothers quickly chimed in, ”Senior Brother, what Master said is all true.” Speaking over each other, they recounted Liu Lili’s current condition to him.

After hearing them out, Kawashima Haruhiro was completely stunned. His mouth hung open as he muttered the same phrase over and over again, ”How could this happen?”

Genji Doju spoke in an extremely solemn tone, ”This competition has already escalated to the level of a national battle. We cannot afford to lose; we must win! Therefore, even if we lose face for the Genji School, we must win this competition! As long as we win, we will be heroes of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and we can reclaim our lost reputation twice over! But if we lose... the Genji School will be utterly finished, never to recover!”

Kawashima Haruhiro and his junior brothers were all shaken, realizing the gravity of the situation.

”Master is right. This competition is no longer just my own. As long as we can defeat Zhao Yuan, what does my personal face or honor matter?” Kawashima Haruhiro suddenly knelt, kowtowed heavily to Genji Doju, and said in a low voice, ”Master, I have disappointed you. I am sorry. To win this national battle, I ask you and my junior brothers to lend me your strength!”

”Get up,” Genji Doju said. ”We will do everything in our power to help you win this competition!”

Yan Ziyu and Shenyang Jia were still keeping watch in the consultation room. Neither of them understood Japanese, so they had no idea what Genji Doju and Kawashima Haruhiro were discussing. To prevent them from cheating by communicating in Japanese, the two quickly said, ”Speak Chinese, or we have reason to suspect you’re helping Kawashima Haruhiro.”

Genji Doju turned around and said in Chinese, ”You’re right. We are going to help him.”

”Huh?” Yan Ziyu and Shenyang Jia were stunned, their faces full of astonishment. They couldn’t understand how these people could be so brazen about their intention to cheat.

Just then, Qiu Haogu and Liu Mingzhang arrived. The two juniors hurried over to tell their masters what had just happened.

After listening, Liu Mingzhang’s brow twitched. He asked, ”Mr. Genji, what did you mean by what you just said?”

Genji Doju replied, ”Didn’t Zhao Yuan say it yesterday? He agreed to let us help with Kawashima’s consultation. What, are you going back on your word now?”

Zhao Yuan heard the argument and walked over, just in time to hear Genji Doju’s words. He immediately said, ”Of course I won’t go back on my word. But just the few of you? I’m afraid you won’t be much help to Kawashima. Why don’t you call in some more people?”

Genji Doju snorted coldly and squeezed a frosty sentence through his teeth: ”No need to trouble anyone else. The Genji School is enough.”

”Then go ahead and try. If you feel like it’s not enough, call more people. I’ve already agreed to this; it doesn’t matter how many of you there are. If there aren’t enough Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners here in Huashang, you can always bring in more reinforcements from Japan.”

Zhao Yuan knew exactly what was wrong with Kawashima Haruhiro.

For this illness, it wouldn’t matter how many doctors they brought in! That’s why he was more than happy for Genji Doju to call in more help. Only then could he achieve a total victory and make these Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners truly feel the pain of defeat!

’If you dare to provoke me, you’d better be ready for a beating!’

Genji Doju had no idea what Zhao Yuan was thinking; he just assumed he was being mocked. Nevertheless, in order to win this competition, he cast everything aside, completely abandoning his pride.

The people watching the livestream on their phones were all shocked when they saw this scene.

”Genji Doju is actually bringing his disciples into the competition to help with Kawashima Haruhiro’s consultation? And Zhao Yuan actually agreed to their shameless request?”

”These Japanese are getting desperate, seeing Liu Lili’s condition improve while Kawashima Haruhiro’s worsens!”

”No matter how desperate they are, they can’t just do this. This is clearly the entire Genji School challenging Zhao Yuan! So shameless!”

The Chinese side was in an uproar, with everyone voicing their condemnation. Meanwhile, the members of the Japanese team fell into a collective silence. Although they looked down on Genji Doju’s methods, they also knew that this competition could not be lost! Since Kawashima Haruhiro was unable to cure his own illness, the only option was for Genji Doju to step in with his disciples.

Was it a dishonorable way to win?

As long as they won, everything would be okay.

The Japanese members still had a great deal of confidence in Genji Doju. After all, this was a Grandmaster Level figure in the Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine Community!

They all thought in unison, ’Lord Genji himself has entered the fray. Kawashima’s illness should be turning around soon, right?’

However, the way things developed was vastly different from what they had imagined!

When night fell on the second day, Liu Lili’s condition had improved even more. Her Essence, Qi, and Spirit had almost completely recovered. In stark contrast, Kawashima Haruhiro, despite the addition of Genji Doju and his disciples and their various treatment plans, showed no signs of improvement whatsoever.

At this point, more and more people on the Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine side could no longer sit still.

If they lost this national battle, the Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine Community would be utterly humiliated! Therefore, they had to win this competition, even if the methods were dishonorable. After all, history is written by the victors. As long as they won, there would be plenty of ways to beautify their actions later.

So that night, many Traditional Chinese Medicine experts came to Kawashima Haruhiro’s consultation room, volunteering their services and asking to join the consultation team.

At first, Genji Doju refused. But he soon realized that Kawashima Haruhiro’s illness was simply too strange. The hope of curing him with only his own people was slim. So, gritting his teeth, he agreed to let them join!

And so, on the third day, when people tuned into the livestream, they were shocked to discover that Kawashima Haruhiro’s consultation room, both inside and out, was packed with people. And all of them were experts from the Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine Community, all there to help with Kawashima Haruhiro’s consultation.

But even though many people had come, and many ideas were proposed, not a single one was of any use to Kawashima Haruhiro.

Kawashima Haruhiro’s condition continued to worsen, while Liu Lili was already almost fully recovered.

The outcome of this competition was already obvious!
