Divine Level Witch Doctor

Everyone was stunned by Zhao Yuan’s words.

Just listen to what he was saying!

”It’s precisely because the research isn’t deep enough that I must lecture on the Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor, to help everyone avoid some pitfalls...”

If these words had come from a renowned senior of a Medical Family, perhaps the crowd wouldn’t have been so astonished. But they just had to come from Zhao Yuan.

Although they all knew that Zhao Yuan, despite his youth, possessed exceptional medical skills, they couldn’t help but be dumbfounded by such an audacious claim.

What they didn’t know was that while Zhao Yuan was arrogant, he had every right to be.

Because the user ID ’The Man Who Wants to Be a Witch Doctor’ was his. And because he was the one who had released the Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor!

It could be said that in the entire medical world today, no one understood the Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor better than Zhao Yuan.

He had already mastered the book completely while studying the Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine! What’s more, the version of the Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor recorded in the Information Leaf contained not only the original text but also Wu Peng’s commentaries and annotations!

Having thoroughly mastered this knowledge, Zhao Yuan was an absolute authority on the Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor!

If he were to lecture on any other topic, some people might hold differing opinions, leading to disagreements. After all, once certain ideas become deeply entrenched, they are treated as truth even if they are wrong.

But the Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor was different. The book had only just reappeared after being lost for a thousand years, and people’s research on it was still in its nascent stages. As long as the content of Zhao Yuan’s lecture was brilliant enough, no one would question him. On the contrary, it would establish his authority in the field of Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor research!

It was precisely because of all these considerations that Zhao Yuan had chosen to lecture on content from the Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor.

Of course, a speech of just over half an hour was nowhere near enough to explain even a ten-millionth of the book. He had no intention of giving a complete lecture on the Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor for everyone. He only planned to discuss a few select, essential parts. Even so, he was confident he could make a stunning debut and shock the entire assembly!

However, Ma Guotao, Qiao Zhixue, and the others were unaware of all this.

Even though Zhao Yuan was full of confidence, they were still extremely worried and tried to talk him out of it.

But Zhao Yuan had always been a man of strong conviction. Once he made a decision, it was difficult for anyone to change his mind. Besides, lecturing on the Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor was something that could only succeed; failure was not an option.

Helpless, they could only give up trying to persuade him.

Qiao Zhixue said with a wry smile, ”Since you’re so confident, I’ll be all ears tomorrow to see what brilliant insights you have to share! But I must say, the way you said that just now was unbelievably arrogant. It’s one thing to say it in front of us, but if others heard it, they’d definitely mistake you for having an arrogant personality.”

Ma Guotao, Yang Jingbo, and the others, meanwhile, were quietly exchanging looks.

Unlike Qiao Zhixue and the others, they were convinced that Zhao Yuan was the disciple of the Great God of Witch Doctor. And since the Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor was released by the Great God of Witch Doctor, then Zhao Yuan, as his disciple, must have studied it. Perhaps Zhao Yuan’s speech tomorrow really would astound everyone!

At this moment, Ma Guotao and Yang Jingbo’s hearts were pounding with a mix of nervousness and excitement; they were on edge to the extreme.

As for the famous doctors from Huashang and Yangcheng City, they didn’t know Zhao Yuan very well. They were taken aback by his bold claims and couldn’t help but wonder, ’Lecture on the Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor? Can he really pull it off?’

Somehow, the news got out. Before Zhao Yuan and his group had even finished dinner, everyone attending the Chinese Medical Exchange Forum knew that he was planning to lecture on the Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor.

Discussions erupted. Some were optimistic, believing that with his profound attainments in the Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine, he might actually be able to give a proper lecture on the Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor.

But most people were skeptical, or even opposed to the idea.

After all, the fact that Zhao Yuan had received an invitation to the Chinese Medical Exchange Forum at such a young age—a Level A invitation, no less—had already filled many with envy and resentment. And now, he was shamelessly boasting that he would lecture on the Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor to help people ”avoid pitfalls” in their research...

In the eyes of many, this was an act of unparalleled arrogance!

’We’ve been researching medicine for decades! In terms of knowledge and experience, how could we possibly lose to a wet-behind-the-ears brat like you? Even we don’t dare to casually lecture on the Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor, let alone say something like helping people ’avoid pitfalls.’ And you have the gall to make such a confident pronouncement?’

’He has no idea of his own limitations!’

’His ego is completely out of control!’

Many attendees of the Chinese Medical Exchange Forum had only heard of Zhao Yuan’s name and had never interacted with him. Now, in their minds, they subconsciously filed him away as someone ’lacking modesty and sense.’ Some even began to lament, ’Ambitions that pierce the heavens... another genius destined to fall before his prime!’

The vast majority of people did not have a high opinion of Zhao Yuan’s chances. Many were even maliciously waiting to watch him make a fool of himself.

Kawashima Haruhiro, for example, was one of them.

He heard the news right away and couldn’t help but sneer, ”Lecturing on the Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor? Hmph, that brat is just asking for death! It looks like even without me lifting a finger, he’s going to be utterly humiliated and lose all face!”

But the masked woman held a different opinion. ”Don’t underestimate Zhao Yuan. When you went to provoke him today, although I didn’t follow you closely and only watched from a distance, I could tell he isn’t the type to make empty boasts. I believe his speech tomorrow will be anything but poor!”

”Oh?” Kawashima Haruhiro raised an eyebrow. He valued the masked woman’s opinion. ”So you’re saying he’s likely going to steal the show at the conference tomorrow?”

The masked woman nodded. ”It’s more than likely.”

”Damn it!” Kawashima Haruhiro was furious that he wouldn’t get to see Zhao Yuan humiliated.

The masked woman smiled and said, ”Why are you angry? You should be happy.”

”Happy?” Kawashima Haruhiro was confused. ’My enemy is about to steal the show, and I should be happy about it? Am I that pathetic?’

The masked woman replied, ”Of course you should be happy. The more he shines, the greater the glory you’ll receive when you defeat him later! Unless... you don’t think you can beat him.”

When Kawashima Haruhiro heard this, he realized she had a point. If Zhao Yuan astounded the audience, then defeating him afterward would surely create a huge sensation!

”Lingzi, you’re right. It doesn’t matter if he steals the show. As long as I defeat him, all that glory will become mine! HA HA HA!”

Kawashima Haruhiro laughed heartily.

He was completely confident in himself, never once doubting that he could defeat Zhao Yuan!
