Divine Level Witch Doctor

It was impossible for the medical experts to not be curious about the patient Zhao Yuan had chosen.

Sure enough, as soon as he spoke, someone immediately asked, ”Zhao Yuan, what kind of patient did you find? Can you tell us? Don’t worry, we absolutely won’t leak this to the Japanese. We just want to help you strategize. If the patient you chose has a condition that isn’t strange or difficult enough, it won’t be enough to stump Kawashima Haruhiro.”

All the other medical experts chimed in.

”That’s right!”

”Kawashima Haruhiro may have lost, but his medical skills are truly formidable. An ordinary complex case won’t be enough to stump him!”

”Zhao Yuan, you absolutely cannot underestimate Kawashima Haruhiro just because of this victory. He is the shining moon of the Japanese medical community; his abilities are anything but ordinary.”

Everyone started talking at once, reminding Zhao Yuan not to get careless or underestimate his opponent. Some even began suggesting complex cases they knew of, seeing if he wanted to pick one to make things difficult for Kawashima Haruhiro.

Although the medical experts from China weren’t in a state of collective shock like the Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine Community, they still wanted to lend Zhao Yuan a hand and do what they could to help him defeat Kawashima Haruhiro.

After all, this was a competition against an outsider! Everyone could still unite as one to face a common foe.

Zhao Yuan once again politely declined the experts’ kind offers. ”Seniors, teachers, please don’t worry about the patient. I already have an idea. As for the specific illness, allow me to keep you in suspense. You’ll find out in two days.”

His words made everyone incredibly curious, but Zhao Yuan’s lips were sealed. No matter how they pressed him, they couldn’t get a single shred of information out of him and eventually had to give up in frustration.

Back at the hotel, after seeing off the medical experts, Ma Guotao and the other professors from West Hua Medical University immediately surrounded Zhao Yuan, asking him what kind of patient he had actually chosen.

Zhao Yuan naturally trusted these mentors from West Hua Medical University completely, so he didn’t keep them in suspense. He answered with a smile, ”The patient I’ve chosen is Kawashima Haruhiro.”

”Kawashima Haruhiro?” Ma Guotao was stunned for a moment and said in confusion, ”But he just has a kidney deficiency and heart Qi deficiency, right? That’s easy enough to treat. It hardly counts as a complex case!”

Xiao Xianlin, Liu Mingzhang, and the others also looked astonished.

”Could it be that besides the kidney and heart Qi deficiencies, Kawashima Haruhiro has some other ailment?”

”I didn’t see any signs of it.”

”But if he doesn’t have any other problems, why would Zhao Yuan choose him?”

They discussed it back and forth but couldn’t come to a conclusion. They could only look to Zhao Yuan, waiting for him to reveal the answer.

Zhao Yuan answered, ”Kawashima Haruhiro’s condition isn’t just a simple case of kidney and heart Qi deficiency. Ordinary medicines and methods won’t be able to cure him!”

Xiao Xianlin, Liu Mingzhang, and the others, despite being renowned doctors, were not cultivators, after all. In their eyes, Kawashima Haruhiro’s condition was merely kidney and heart Qi deficiency. Even Kawashima Haruhiro himself thought so. But Zhao Yuan was different. He was not just a doctor; he was also a cultivator.

Using his Qi Observation Technique, Zhao Yuan could determine that the root of Kawashima Haruhiro’s symptoms was that the Upright Qi and Life Force within his body were being devoured!

In a situation like this, forget a cure—ordinary treatments and medicines wouldn’t even produce the slightest sign of improvement!

’According to my speculation,’ Zhao Yuan thought, ’Kawashima Haruhiro’s Upright Qi and Life Force are most likely being devoured by that mysterious Lingzi!’

’There’s a high probability that woman is also a cultivator!’

’But I’m not worried that Lingzi will step in to help Kawashima Haruhiro. Since she’s the one who harmed him to this extent, why would she be willing to give his Upright Qi and Life Force back? And even if Lingzi did try to intervene, I wouldn’t let her help him!’

’All things considered, Kawashima Haruhiro is the perfect ’patient’!’

Of course, Zhao Yuan couldn’t explain all this to Ma Guotao and the others, so he just offered a few vague sentences to gloss over it.

The people from West Hua Medical University, however, had complete faith in Zhao Yuan’s words and stopped trying to persuade him to choose a different patient.

After lunch and a short break, the Chinese Medical Exchange Forum resumed at 2:30 PM.

Zhao Yuan, having stolen the show that morning, was now the center of attention. Feeling the gazes from all around, the faculty from West Hua Medical University puffed out their chests, filled with pride for him.

Kawashima Haruhiro, however, did not appear at the afternoon session. It was unclear whether he was too ashamed to show his face after losing to Zhao Yuan, or if he had gone to look for that ”mysterious patient.”

Meanwhile, on several medical forums back in China, news of Zhao Yuan’s lecture on the *Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor* and his victory over Kawashima Haruhiro had been posted.

Not long ago, Zhao Yuan had caused a stir when his exam paper was published in the *Chinese Medicine* journal. His name was still fresh in people’s minds, and now, seeing these two new pieces of information, they were utterly shocked.

”Zhao Yuan’s lecture on the *Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor* was absolutely incredible!”

”I agree with the poster above. Zhao Yuan’s research in the field of the *Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor* is definitely top-tier in the country!”

”Is this kid really a freshman? He’s incredible! When I first heard he was invited to the Chinese Medical Exchange Forum, I thought he wasn’t qualified. Now I know I was completely wrong to look down on him!”

”I didn’t understand the lecture on the *Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor*, but Zhao Yuan actually beat Kawashima Haruhiro at Auscultation? And he cornered him so badly in Observation that Kawashima had to shamelessly play dirty? That’s just incredible! I declare, from this day forward, I’m a die-hard Zhao Yuan fan!”

”Who’s this Kawashima Haruhiro? Is he a big deal?”

”Of course he’s a big deal! He’s the shining moon of the Japanese medical community, a top-tier Traditional Chinese Medicine expert! Who would’ve thought that after a lifetime of prestige, he’d end up falling at Zhao Yuan’s hands. Hahaha, it’s so gratifying!”

The shock and admiration of the people transformed into streams of Wish Power, which surged into Zhao Yuan’s body like a tide, nourishing the Information Leaf and increasing his strength.

Liu Zhu, Lin Xue, Yu Ke, and the others also saw these posts online and immediately started messaging Zhao Yuan in their group chat, asking for confirmation.

After getting his confirmation, they were shocked but couldn’t help but roast him: ”Zhao Yuan, you’re something else! You go to the Chinese Medical Exchange Forum and still manage to flex like that. We can’t help but be impressed!”

Seeing the messages from his wisecracking friends, Zhao Yuan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He replied, ”What do you mean, I ’manage to flex everywhere’? I never intended to show off at all. I was forced into it!”

Wu Yan immediately shot back, ”The highest level of flexing is being forced to flex. Third Brother, you are now the King of Kings when it comes to flexing!”

Zhao Yuan was speechless and could only reply with a ”going crazy” emoji.
