Divine Level Witch Doctor

After receiving their prescriptions, the patients were all quite grateful to Zhao Yuan.

Although Zhao Yuan was very young, his earlier, miraculous diagnosis had astounded them, leaving them with no doubt about his medical skills!

Now, holding the prescriptions Zhao Yuan had given them, many wanted to go fill them immediately and start the treatment to cure their illnesses as soon as possible.

Facing the patients’ gratitude, Zhao Yuan remained humble and said with a smile, ”We’re the ones who should be thanking you. Without your help, today’s Auscultation competition wouldn’t have been possible. Thank you for your hard work!”

His words warmed the hearts of many.

After thanking the patients, Zhao Yuan walked up to Kawashima Haruhiro and asked, ”Mr. Kawashima, do you have any other doubts?”

Kawashima Haruhiro desperately wanted to ask, ’Did this hospital conspire with you long ago to set me up?’ Fortunately, even in his fury, he maintained a sliver of composure. He knew it was impossible, so he forced the words back down his throat. Otherwise, he would have lost not only the competition but his dignity as well.

”There’s nothing left to doubt.” Kawashima Haruhiro sighed deeply, his voice full of despair. ”I concede!”

Hearing this, the Chinese medical experts at the scene immediately burst into cheers. Even the patients who had been asked to help were thrilled. In this kind of international competition, they would of course support their own. Moreover, Zhao Yuan’s every word and action had been heartwarming, earning their immense favor, so they naturally supported him all the way.

In Japan, at the home of the Genji Doju Family, a deathly silence fell once again.

Kawashima Haruhiro’s master and fellow disciples were not surprised by this outcome. The Auscultation skill Zhao Yuan had demonstrated was simply too powerful; it was a complete rout! And the video he had produced proved his innocence. What else could Kawashima Haruhiro do but concede?

Meanwhile, the online live stream chat was filled with sighs.

This time, few people were insulting Kawashima Haruhiro. They had all seen his skill and knew that his loss to Zhao Yuan wasn’t due to his own weakness, but because his opponent was just too strong!

”What a shame. If Mr. Kawashima had been up against any other Traditional Chinese Physician, even one of those renowned masters, he would have had a chance to win. Too bad he had to run into a freak like this!”

”His opponent is terrifyingly strong. Mr. Kawashima’s loss was a fair one!”

”Mr. Kawashima is already incredibly skilled! It’s just that his opponent is like a Demon-king-level final boss! Mr. Kawashima, don’t give up! Work hard, catch up, and defeat this Demon king boss in the future!”

Poor Zhao Yuan, without even knowing it, had just been dubbed the ”Great Demon King” by Japanese netizens...

Listening to the cheers of the Chinese medical experts, Kawashima Haruhiro gnashed his teeth with a GRINDING sound. He waited until the cheers died down a little before saying, ”Mr. Zhao, do you dare to have another match with me?”

Before Zhao Yuan could answer, Ma Guotao frowned and demanded, ”Didn’t you just concede? Why do you want another match?”

”Aren’t medical competitions always best two out of three? Who decides a winner after just one round?” Kawashima Haruhiro replied, as if he were completely in the right. It was obvious he had thrown all integrity and shame to the wind.

Ma Guotao snorted coldly. ”Even if it were best two out of three, didn’t you essentially forfeit and concede the Observation match earlier?”

Kawashima Haruhiro replied, ”I made it very clear before. I misspoke about Observation. What I wanted to compete with Mr. Zhao in was Auscultation. Therefore, this is my first loss, and I still have a chance for another match!”

He refused to accept defeat. Even more, he didn’t want to become a disgrace like Kobayashi Haruo, living out his days cowering in shame. He had to have another match with Zhao Yuan, and he absolutely had to win!

Only then could he turn the tables!

As for face? Integrity?

’Those things can’t be eaten. If I have to discard them, I will! Besides, in this world, the winner takes all. As long as I can ultimately turn this defeat into victory, I can earn back all the face and respect I’ve lost, and then some!’

Kawashima Haruhiro stared at Zhao Yuan, his eyes blazing with fighting spirit. He felt that in this moment, he was like the protagonist of a manga, on the verge of a huge power-up after a defeat, about to vanquish the evil Demon king boss, Zhao Yuan!

To prevent Zhao Yuan from refusing, Kawashima Haruhiro provoked him. ”Mr. Zhao, do you dare have another match with me? If you don’t have the guts, if you’re afraid of losing, just say so. I won’t laugh at you.”

Zhao Yuan couldn’t help but chuckle. He shook his head and said, ”Alright, Mr. Kawashima, your attempt at goading me is really terrible. Don’t bother showing it off in front of me. It’s just one more match, right? Since you’re asking for a beating, of course I won’t refuse. Listen up. If I can beat you once, I can beat you twice, and a third time!”

Hearing these words, dripping with sarcasm, Kawashima Haruhiro wasn’t angry at all. On the contrary, he was delighted.

As long as Zhao Yuan agreed to another match, he had a chance to win! What did it matter if Zhao Yuan said a few mocking words? Of course, in his heart, he couldn’t help but grit his teeth and sneer, ’Laugh all you want. We’ll see if you’re still laughing after I’ve beaten you!’

”Zhao Yuan, you’ve already won. Why did you agree to another match?” Ma Guotao asked with a pained expression, truly unable to understand.

Zhao Yuan replied, ”Principal Ma, Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine is just a wholesale copy of our Traditional Chinese Medicine. That being the case, we are the elders and teachers of Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine. As elders, we can’t stoop to the level of juniors. If the unruly child wants to play again, we’ll play with him and teach him some manners in the process. We’ll also let the practitioners of Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine know that they are nothing more than poor students who haven’t learned their lessons properly. They want to challenge their teachers? Not a chance! They should go back and learn what it means to respect their teachers and the Dao!”

Zhao Yuan seemed calm, but he was actually infuriated by Kawashima Haruhiro’s shamelessness. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have spoken such harsh words.

When Kawashima Haruhiro heard him, he was so angry he almost coughed up blood.

’I’m old enough to be your grandfather, and you have the nerve to call me a junior? You’re calling me an unruly child? You’re despicable!’

And the Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine experts watching the live stream, including Genji Doju, were also enraged by Zhao Yuan’s words.

In their view, although Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine originated from Traditional Chinese Medicine, the student had long surpassed the master! They had always looked down on modern Traditional Chinese Medicine, believing its development had been broken and that the true essence of Traditional Chinese Medicine was in Japan, inherited by them, the practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine!

But now, Zhao Yuan was calling them poor students who hadn’t learned their lessons and telling them to learn to respect their teachers and teachings?

This was a direct challenge to the entire Traditional Chinese Medicine Community!

Immediately, many scholars of Traditional Chinese Medicine began to clamor in the live stream chat: ”This is no longer just Kawashima Haruhiro’s fight! This is a war! A war for our legacy! It’s a war we must win! We must let the Chinese know that the essence of ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine is not in China, not with modern Traditional Chinese Medicine, but in Japan, with our Traditional Chinese Medicine!”
