Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1537: Chapter 779: Short and Powerless

Zhou Yun sat directly in the courtyard and met with the cinema audience over in France.

”Behind the Scenes” is finally being released in France.

This film can be said to be Zhou Yun’s most internationally recognized work.

It was thanks to this film that she unexpectedly got nominated for Best Actress at last year’s Golden Ball Awards, shocking many at home and abroad.

Unfortunately, Zhou Yun narrowly missed out at the Oscars.

You could hardly call it a narrow miss; to be precise, the hope was never really great.

On the contrary, her nomination for the Golden Ball was the real surprise.

It can only be said that the momentum at the time pushed her onto the nomination list.

French audiences really like Zhou Yun.

Mainly because Zhou Yun previously starred in ”Life” and ”Deep Sea” which was released on streaming this year, both had high recognition in France, with many people having seen them and liked them.

After greeting everyone, there was a live Q&A session.

Someone asked why Zhou Yun didn’t come in person to meet everyone this time.

Director Xue Qin was present at the scene.

With a smile, Zhou Yun explained that she was currently filming, so she couldn’t make it.

Such exchanges are actually best done in person. Zhou Yun is quite willing to interact with her fans while promoting films. It must be said that although the internet allows many fans to directly appear under her Weibo comments to leave messages, because there are too many and the content is mostly repetitive with little novelty, Zhou Yun rarely reads them.

But in person, as everyone generally only gets one chance to ask a question, they tend to be well-thought-out, and such questions often make Zhou Yun more inclined to respond.

Many French film media were also present.

They were invited by the French distributor of ”Behind the Scenes”.

The people who came from the movie media were mostly very professional and knowledgeable about film.

Zhou Yun is a true actress, with excellent acting skills and good works, precisely the kind of person they are willing to and want to understand.

Especially since she has stardust, experiences that media and journalists love about interview subjects.

But compared to Zhou Yun’s international reputation, her activities abroad are actually quite limited, especially in Europe, where she usually only goes for film festivals or fashion week activities.

Getting an opportunity to interview Zhou Yun, even just online, is something many want.

A reporter was interested in the movie she’s currently filming and asked, ”What’s this movie about?”

Zhou Yun said, ”It’s still confidential now, so it’s not convenient to reveal much. I’ll briefly introduce it: It’s a film exploring change and returning to oneself.”

The reporter further inquired, ”You’ve collaborated with Director Xue Qin on ’Life’ and ’Behind the Scenes’. Will there be new collaborations going forward?”

Zhou Yun knew Xue Qin was on site.

She also knew that Xue Qin’s next project seems to be with He Wenyun.

Zhou Yun said, ”If there’s a suitable script and role, I’d definitely continue to collaborate. Director Xue Qin is someone who can push out an actor’s potential, and I’m very much looking forward to our next cooperation.”

After the session ended, Wen Bing, who had been watching Zhou Yun’s session from the side, curiously asked, ”Xue Qin’s next project didn’t cast you?”

Zhou Yun nodded.

”Figures,” Wen Bing said, ”Judging by how you just spoke, it sounds like she found someone else.”

”She found your ex-girlfriend,” Zhou Yun said calmly.

Wen Bing was taken aback, his eyes wide, looking at Zhou Yun with astonishment.

Zhou Yun said, ”You don’t need to stare at me like that, I’m not lying to you.”

Wen Bing: ”...Alright, when she left, she said there were better opportunities; I guess she was right.”

Zhou Yun: ”So you haven’t been in touch with her?”

”I’ve been in touch, but not much,” Wen Bing said, ”We’re already broken up.”

”You’re both adults, both in this industry, even if you’re broken up, you still might run into each other now and then,” Zhou Yun said.

Wen Bing: ”Not necessarily, she’s always filming abroad, and we don’t mix in the same circles.”

Zhou Yun: ”Don’t say that, you two will definitely run into each other in the future; you’re a director, she’s an actress, and both of you are so successful.”

Wen Bing: ”Not necessarily, not necessarily; I’d refuse, she’d refuse.”

”Would she refuse to work with you, if it were your film she’s acting in?”

”She would.”

Take a break, still not particularly good, typing these few words is so tiring.
