Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1526: Chapter 773: Going Down to the River (3)

Chen Zhuo heard this, responded with a hum, and came out holding a bowl of rice.

Wang Zilin saw Chen Zhuo following Zhou Yun out, holding a bowl of rice with a few bites already taken, and immediately reacted. She cheerfully said, ”Xiao Zhuo, did you try today’s cured chicken? It’s really good.”

Chen Zhuo nodded slightly, seeming even more silent in front of so many people.

Wang Zilin: ”How old are you this year?”

”Fourteen.” Chen Zhuo replied.

”You’re already this tall at fourteen?” Wang Zilin looked at him in surprise and asked, ”You should be almost 1.8 meters tall now, right?”

Chen Zhuo replied, ”1.77 meters.”

Wang Zilin clicked her tongue twice: ”Kids nowadays really develop well, it’s the prime time for growth, eat more.”

After saying that, she exchanged a knowing glance with Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun nodded at her.

Chen Zhuo was too silent and afraid to speak.

Zhou Yun and Wang Zilin wanted him to break the unfamiliarity and isolation he felt as quickly as possible.

However, unlike younger children like Xiuxiu, Chen Zhuo’s age brings a strong sense of judgment and self-esteem.

Faced with these glamorous celebrities, people like Zhou Yun, Chen Zhuo has a very intense feeling of distance and a sense of inferiority.

He’s afraid to speak a word voluntarily, fearing it would ”disturb” them.

Zhou Yun saw this, felt helpless, but also had no effective method to reference for breaking Chen Zhuo’s ”cautiousness.”

Zhou Yun had gone through such a phase herself; she knew that whatever she said wouldn’t help and that only gradual interaction would change Chen Zhuo’s mindset.

In the afternoon, they went to the riverside to catch crabs.

Zhou Yun borrowed Xiuxiu’s mother’s boots.

Chen Zhuo took a bucket.

While setting up equipment, Wen Bing pulled Zhou Yun, Chen Zhuo, and Xiuxiu aside to explain what would be filmed in a while.

The two children looked bewildered, not knowing what they were supposed to do.

After Wen Bing finished speaking, Zhou Yun said to the two of them, ”It’s okay, you don’t have to worry about where the camera is filming what. Just catch crabs the way you normally do and talk like you usually do, alright?”

For non-professional and still underage actors like Chen Zhuo and Xiuxiu, there’s no need to instill concepts of acting in them.

Just act like you do in usual situations.

Or bring out a fixed item for them to mimic.

The problem is, Wen Bing doesn’t have a script they can use.

Zhou Yun said to Wen Bing, ”No matter what happens later, don’t call cut, let me guide them and talk for a bit.”

Wen Bing nodded, ”I think the same, I’ll let the crew follow you.”

”Just focus on them. I can reshoot my parts later, let’s get their scenes first.” Zhou Yun said.

Wen Bing nodded.

Despite this plan, shooting still encountered many problems.

Xiuxiu was slightly better.

Chen Zhuo often got so nervous he couldn’t speak.

His movements were awkward as well.

Zhou Yun smiled at him and asked, ”Is it your first time acting, feeling nervous?”

Chen Zhuo froze.

He didn’t understand why Zhou Yun brought this up at that moment.

Aren’t they filming?

Is this topic allowed?

Zhou Yun seemed to see Chen Zhuo’s doubts and said, ”It’s okay, I just spoke with the director. We haven’t started filming yet, and I haven’t learned how to catch crabs myself. Teach me first and once I’m taught, we’ll start filming.”

Chen Zhuo froze again, then glanced at the cameras on the two cranes before and after them.

Zhou Yun said, ”They’re just testing the light, shooting some empty scenes, not us.”

Chen Zhuo murmured an ”oh.”

Zhou Yun subtly glanced towards Wen Bing’s direction.

Wen Bing nodded at her, evidently understanding her intention.

Feeling assured, Zhou Yun looked up at the sky, saying, ”The weather is really nice, the sky is so blue.”

Hearing Zhou Yun say this, Chen Zhuo, though unsure why she suddenly changed the topic, followed her gaze to the sky.

But he often saw such skies, so was used to it, and couldn’t understand why Zhou Yun spoke with such joy.

His face showed some bewilderment.

Suddenly, Xiuxiu pulled her brother’s hand, saying, ”Brother, hurry up and teach Aunt Xiao Yun how to catch crabs, I have to go to school later!”

The little girl was anxious.

Zhou Yun laughed immediately.

Chen Zhuo’s cheeks reddened slightly, he turned to Zhou Yun, saying, ”Let’s go down then.”

Zhou Yun nodded, following Chen Zhuo into the river.

Zhou Yun was a bit cautious, afraid of stepping into empty space.

But actually, the river was very shallow, only reaching their calves.

Xiuxiu didn’t get into the river but watched them from the bank.

Chen Zhuo looked back, seeing Zhou Yun walking cautiously, hesitated, then stretched out his right hand, saying, ”Aunt Xiao Yun, should I hold you?”

The boy’s face showed concern.

Zhou Yun, initially nervous, felt relieved when she heard him say this, ”Great!”

She immediately placed her hand into Chen Zhuo’s hand.
