Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1517: Chapter 771: By the Riverside

”If you don’t want to be entangled by her, maybe just pretend to accept her apology first, and then slowly distance yourself from her.”

Zhou Yun advised Xiuxiu.

Xiuxiu pouted, shook her head, and said, ”I don’t want to pretend to accept her apology, I just don’t want to accept it.”

The little girl’s thoughts were particularly simple and pure.

She didn’t even want to pretend a little.

Zhou Yun was silent for a moment and said, ”You’re braver than me.”

Xiuxiu looked up in surprise at Zhou Yun, as if she hadn’t expected to hear such words from her.

Zhou Yun smiled at her and said, ”I can’t be like you, displaying my true feelings openly.”

”Why?” Xiuxiu asked in confusion, ”Aunt Xiao Yun, aren’t you a big star? Can’t you express your true feelings?”

Zhou Yun was quite shocked that she was discussing ”true feelings” with an eight-year-old.

But Xiuxiu’s expression was serious; she wasn’t pretending to understand, she genuinely got it.

Zhou Yun thought for a moment and said, ”I don’t know if you can understand when I say this, but when we grow up, unless it’s something particularly principled, we all prefer not to reach a point of breaking things off entirely.”

Xiuxiu, being very clever, nodded and said, ”I know, like Mom says, ’It’s better to forgive and forget.’

Zhou Yun: ”Uh, actually those are two different things, but for now, it’s okay if you see it that way.”

Xiuxiu asked, ”Aunt Xiao Yun, are you not going to stay at our house anymore?”

”Mm.” Zhou Yun nodded, ”I’ve started filming, and my sleep schedule isn’t very fixed. If I continue staying at your house, it will disturb you and your mom’s rest. Moreover, your mom is also busy taking care of my colleagues, which is very tiring. If I keep staying there, it will be inconvenient.”

Xiuxiu said, ”Mom’s been really happy these days. She said Aunt Xiao Yun, you’ve helped her make a lot of money.”

She must be referring to helping with cooking for the crew.

Zhou Yun said, ”It’s not me helping, it’s us needing your mom’s help. Your mom helped us a lot by solving the meals for over twenty people in our crew, so it’s right for us to pay her.”

Xiuxiu made a sound of agreement.

The two of them were silent for a moment.

Xiuxiu asked again, ”Aunt Xiao Yun, can I still come to see you?”

Zhou Yun said, ”Of course, you can definitely come find me. But if you see machines filming me, you’ll have to wait a bit. That’s when I’m acting, and you can’t interrupt me.”

Xiuxiu nodded and agreed.

Zhou Yun truly liked this little girl.

Obedient, smart, and kind.

Zhou Yun patted Xiuxiu’s head and asked, ”Have you had lunch?”

Xiuxiu said, ”I did. I ate at school.”

Zhou Yun: ”That’s good, you’re at an age where you’re growing, so you can’t let yourself go hungry.”

Xiuxiu nodded.

After seeing Xiuxiu, Zhou Yun went back and saw Wen Bing sitting under a tree in the courtyard, holding a tablet, doing something.

Zhou Yun walked over and asked, ”What are you doing?”

Wen Bing said, ”Seeing what we’re shooting in the afternoon. Where did you just go? I didn’t see you for a while.”

Zhou Yun said, ”I went for a walk and met Xiuxiu by the river. She said there are crabs in the river now and wanted to catch them.”

Wen Bing’s eyes lit up as he listened.

”Catch crabs?”

Zhou Yun nodded.

Wen Bing said, ”Why not shoot you catching crabs then.”

”If we’re going to film it, it can’t be today. I can’t even find the crabs now,” Zhou Yun said. ”I’ll need to find someone to teach me how to catch them first.”

Wen Bing thought for a moment and said, ”Forget about catching any crabs, I want to shoot a scene of you by the river with Yu Zhiyang passing by.”

”Why?” Zhou Yun’s eyes shifted, ”Are you trying to depict how his affection for me started?”

Wen Bing said, ”The primordial desire between a man and a woman is built from meeting each other one time after another.”

He said it with a lot of confidence.

Zhou Yun pursed her lips and laughed.

Wen Bing said, ”And have you decided yet, do you want to invite your friends?”

Zhou Yun thought for a moment and said, ”Mainly, if I invite them, what are they supposed to do? There’s no script for them.”

”Just chat casually, about life, philosophy, gossip,” Wen Bing said. ”I want to capture those sudden, most exciting moments, like you’re genuinely hosting friends here.”

Zhou Yun: ”So they will also play themselves?”
