Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1520: Chapter 772: Decision

Zhou Yun could tell right away that Yu Zhiyang was afraid she’d be angry about what had happened earlier.

Zhou Yun smiled at Yu Zhiyang.

”You really think I was mad?”

Yu Zhiyang was stunned.

Wen Bing glanced at Yu Zhiyang, ”Haha, this silly guy really thought you were throwing a fit.”

Yu Zhiyang asked hesitantly, ”Wasn’t that it?”

Zhou Yun said, ”Acting, huh? Was it Wen Bing who told you to laugh like that?”

”Yep, the director asked me to do it,” Yu Zhiyang replied.

”I guess he’s got a new idea,” Zhou Yun said directly, ”He wants us to meet earlier in the movie.”

Wen Bing: ”You see, I said why this movie has to be yours, it has to be you acting in it.”

Zhou Yun: ”Stop it.”

”Don’t you think it’s interesting to have Little Yu clash a bit with you here, providing a shift in interactions and understanding between you two later on?”

”Didn’t someone say character relationships and performances aren’t the focus of this film?”

”Ideas have changed,” Wen Bing said, ”Now I think more scenes between you and Yu Zhiyang would look great. Who cares, shoot whatever you like and edit it later.”

Zhou Yun: ”So greedy.”

Yu Zhiyang finally grasped what Wen Bing was saying at this point.

”I’m fine with anything, just listen to you guys.”

Zhou Yun patted Yu Zhiyang on the back of his head — he was so tall, that’s the only spot she could reach.

This was possible because Yu Zhiyang habitually lowered his head in front of them, making it accessible.

After filming Zhou Yun, the daylight had changed.

Wen Bing said, ”We need to shoot more of Yu Zhiyang’s scenes tomorrow; it can’t be done today, let’s head back.”

This afternoon’s filming focused mainly on Zhou Yun.

Yu Zhiyang supported Zhou Yun in scenes all afternoon, but not a single major shot was captured.

”Well done,” Wen Bing said, patting Yu Zhiyang’s shoulder while others packed, ”You weren’t filmed at all this afternoon.”

Yu Zhiyang said, ”It’s okay, Director, I’m fine with it.”

Wen Bing clicked his tongue and said, ”No wonder you’re Xiao Yun’s little brother, your temperament and attitude are exactly alike.”

Yu Zhiyang lowered his head and smiled shyly.

Wen Bing truly didn’t know what to say.

Each time Yu Zhiyang showed that shy smile, Wen Bing was at a loss.

No temper.

Like a tame big dog.

But Wen Bing knew that Yu Zhiyang’s tameness was evidently directed at Zhou Yun.

...

At this hour, darkness fell quickly.

But Zhou Yun couldn’t wrap up yet.

The night shoot was coming up.

Everyone had dinner, set up the equipment, and found a place to rest.

The nighttime scene involved Zhou Yun sitting in the courtyard daydreaming.

As for the plot, there wasn’t really one.

Almost nobody knew what the director was planning to shoot.

Even Zhou Yun didn’t know; frankly, she felt Wen Bing didn’t know either.

Wen Bing just wanted to shoot and see.

She keenly sensed that Wen Bing was trying a new filming method — figuring out how to shoot on site.

Previously, Zhou Yun wouldn’t dare to act like this; Wen Bing was braver.

However, Zhou Yun quite supported Wen Bing’s approach; she wanted to try different sensations too.

Anyway, whether the script was pre-written or not wasn’t particularly significant.

The plot was secondary.

By herself, Wen Bing aimed to capture moments and states.

Zhou Yun sat in the courtyard, leisurely gazing at the night sky.

In the countryside, the sky was dotted with stars — bright and innumerable, a true starry night.

As Zhou Yun stared at the sky for a while, she indeed floated into a trance — lost in thought.

She pondered what she would do next, what kind of life she wanted to lead.

Here we go again, starting the idle game she often played alone, imagining her future.

But, this is quite normal.

What else is there when you’re alone, if not to think daydreams?

Zhou Yun’s eyes were filled with stories.

Inside the house, Wen Bing and Yu Zhiyang sat behind the monitoring screen together.

”Little Yu, look, your Sister Xiao Yun’s greatest skill is this — she appears motionless and expressionless, yet beneath her lack of expression, a full story unfolds,” Wen Bing pointed out to Yu Zhiyang, ”Look at her eyes; she’s genuinely thinking about something rather than just acting pensive. Capturing that on film will be incredibly moving on the big screen.”

Yu Zhiyang nodded.

”Make sure you learn properly. Don’t turn your facial features into child’s play clay — misshapen and unstable, as if any part might fall off at any moment.”
