Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1518: Chapter 771: By the River_2

”Act in it then.” Wen Bing said, ”To be honest, don’t worry about how I will edit it later, even I haven’t decided how to edit it yet.”

Zhou Yun pondered for a moment and said, ”Alright, I’ll ask around, but with this, your film’s cast will have many famous actors, it won’t be so simple anymore.”

”Many? At most you can invite one or two over, I’m not planning to turn it into a Talk Show.” Wen Bing said, ”Besides, who knows how much of your stuff will end up in the film.”

Zhou Yun said, ”I’ll ask Gu Huaichun, then I’ll ask Yuk Chu, these are the only two with whom I can have some honest conversation on camera.”

Wen Bing: ”Alright.”

”Will you pay them?” Zhou Yun asked.

Wen Bing: ”Give them a friendship price, you know how much budget we have for this production.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Alright, fine, I won’t squeeze any money out of you, I’ll pay out of my own pocket.”

Wen Bing: ”It’s not right to make you pay from your own pocket.”

”Then you’ll pay yourself? Even at a friendship price, Gu Huaichun isn’t cheap, he has Yuehai backing him, he can’t make many decisions himself.”

Wen Bing said, ”It’s okay.”

He called Wang Zilin.

Wang Zilin came out of the room and asked, ”What’s up?”

Wen Bing said, ”Go tell Yao Yuanfeng that Zhou Yun wants to pay out of his own pocket to invite Gu Huaichun and Yuk Chu to play two roles.”

Zhou Yun looked at him in surprise upon hearing this.

”What are you doing?”

Wen Bing said, ”Just wait, once Yao Yuanfeng knows you want to pay from your own pocket, he’ll definitely add more funding.”

Zhou Yun: ”Huh?”

Wen Bing: ”Ten million, hmph, even he knows that even a new director filming an art film would cost more than that, he just wanted me to give up at first, now that I’m already shooting, he has to have a way out to send the rest of the money over.”

Zhou Yun: ”When did you also become so cunning?”

”This is the wisdom accumulated from working with Yao Yuanfeng for so long.” Wen Bing said.

Zhou Yun chuckled.

Wen Bing: ”I thought he would take the initiative to mention additional funding, didn’t expect he came to visit the set but didn’t bring it up.”

”Well, you didn’t ask him, why would he offer to add more? If you ask him for it, then he gives it to you, it’s different, then you owe him a favor, don’t you?” Zhou Yun said, ”Bosses are all like this, nobody’s money falls from the sky, especially for someone like Yao Yuanfeng, if he doesn’t get something in return, he won’t part with even a dime.”

Wen Bing: ”Looks like we both have the same opinion about Yao Yuanfeng, great minds think alike.”

Zhou Yun smiled.

”If he knows you plan to pay yourself to invite Gu Huaichun and Yuk Chu, he definitely won’t agree, otherwise, if this spreads, it will be a slap in his face.” Wen Bing said, ”Our movie just lacks funds, but it’s not an independent production, it was a New Shield production from the start, no matter how their company internally discusses this film, once it spreads outside, with news of you starring, it will definitely attract a lot of attention, and I think many distributors will come to buy it.”

Zhou Yun: ”International distributors?”

”Yes.” Wen Bing nodded, ”You should know by now you have influence internationally, right? Many international distributors have specifically talked to Yao Yuanfeng, if it’s a movie you star in, they’re interested to see whether to buy it.”

Zhou Yun: ”I only know some of my own contacts, but because I’m not making films myself, I never really talked much about this, but I did introduce a lot to Yao Yuanfeng and Xue Qin.”

Wen Bing: ”That’s it then, everyone thinks they’re your producers.”

”Hmm, I guess saying so isn’t wrong.” Zhou Yun nodded, ”The films I acted in, they’re all produced by those two.”

Wen Bing: ”Have you ever thought of trying to collaborate with someone else?”

”I haven’t seen a script that moves me, oh, Yuehai sent over a script I quite liked before, but it was a series.” Zhou Yun said, ”Flower City.”

”Is it that novel? I’ve read it.” Wen Bing said, ”You want to act in it?”

”It’s not decided yet, Yuehai gave me the first draft of the script, I haven’t finished reading it.” Zhou Yun said, ”But I really like this story.”
