Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Ye Jian did not immediately release Alice Cheng; she first took the pistol from Alice’s hand and searched her for any other dangerous weapons. Only after confirming there were no threats did Ye Jian speak calmly, ”It’s very chaotic outside right now, someone wants to kill the person who has been following you. I can let you go, and you can call for help, but I can assure you, if you do call out, the result will not be what you want.”

A smart woman would surely make the smartest choice.

Alice Cheng, with sweat trickling down her neck, nodded with some difficulty. Her neck was tightly clamped by Ye Jian’s bent elbow, and her head could hardly move. Even the nod was minimal.

”Of course I know that,” she said. ”Right now, I want to get out alive, and you all are my best option.”

Ye Jian slowly loosened her elbow but remained on guard. She pressed her earpiece and spoke softly, telling all her comrades, ”Target successfully rescued.”

”Retreat!”

Xia Jinyuan didn’t plan to go head-to-head with Noah to the bitter end and immediately began to retreat. Only Noah continued to exchange fire with Cyril’s men, holding Cyril back so they could retreat more smoothly.

Trapped from above and below, Noah and his team were cornered with no way out.

Ye Jian was on the fifth floor while Xia Jinyuan and his team were on the sixth floor; it was time to regroup.

But this was not the right moment to do so. Cyril had no intention of letting anyone leave the hotel; he needed to capture Noah and his men before he could leave.

When would it be possible to capture Noah?

Naturally, it would be when Noah was out of ammunition and supplies.

They didn’t have to wait long, about fifteen minutes later, the gunfire in the stairwell began to subside until both sides finally ceased firing.

The gunshots in the stairwell stopped, but the hotel lobby and several other areas were still rife with continuous gunfire. Several undercover hotel staff members tried to break through but were suppressed by Cyril’s firepower each time.

At that moment, Noah realized that Alice Cheng was no longer by his side. Facing dozens of guns pointed at him and with a gunshot wound in his right leg, Noah covered his wound and spoke calmly, ”I need to see Cyril. I have very important information to tell him.”

He needed to see Cyril now to tell him precisely who had interfered with his underground drug factory.

Alice had disappeared—it must have been those damned mercenaries who rescued her!

G3, who had not yet left, narrowed his gaze slightly and, in front of everyone, pulled open the fifth-floor fire door and stepped out into complete darkness. He blended in seamlessly, undetected by anyone, and they assumed he was going to inform Cyril.

G3, who walked out composedly, immediately reported in a low voice, ”Noah is very likely to tell Cyril about the operation we conducted a few days ago. None of these men can be allowed to stay.”

”Head to the room and regroup with Ye Jian,” Xia Jinyuan said, unruffled. They were in the shadows, and there were many ways to deal with Noah. Noah thought he could calculate against them? Heh, let him taste the flavor of his own medicine.

On the fifth floor, there were already Cyril’s men. Ye Jian, Alice Cheng, and G3 were temporarily trapped, but their comrades on the sixth and fourth floors could move. Taking advantage of the power still being out, Xia Jinyuan, Z7, and White Crane quickly moved towards the lobby.

Meanwhile, V8 and K7 headed to the hotel’s central electrical control room to prevent the power from suddenly coming back on and exposing themselves.

In the lobby, Cyril sat waiting for his subordinates to bring the Caucasian he wanted to catch, ready to show these Caucasians his might.
