Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Some guests sat in their rooms waiting, slowly sipping wine from opened bottles, anticipating a call. Those more impatient opened their room doors, intending to go downstairs to inquire. Although they hadn’t heard anything walking down their floor hallway, as they reached the stairwell, they suddenly heard ”bang, bang, bang” as if something was continuously impacting, and the more alert guests instantly realized what the sound meant and, frightened, hurried back to their rooms, daring not to come out while notifying their companions staying in the hotel but in different rooms.

The local police in Molaban had also received emergency calls. Upon hearing that someone had entered the hotel and started shooting, the police, struck by a headache, had to deploy officers while advising the callers to stay in their rooms and think of ways to use movable items like mattresses and sofas to block their doors to prevent mishaps.

The entire hotel was actually in chaos at this time, but it seemed relatively calm on the surface since everyone was staying inside their rooms without running about.

Since the shooting intentionally avoided Alice Cheng, it gave her a chance to escape. The fire door on the fifth floor was right in front of her; all she needed was to open it and she could get away.

This was an extremely clever woman. Although she was willing to act as a bait, she did not wish to be left behind. Discovering that she had a chance to escape, Alice Cheng began shooting while heading towards the fire door.

Noah and his team planned similarly.

At the same time, the entire power supply in the hotel was cut off, plunging the once brightly lit hotel into darkness within seconds.

Alice was already close to the fire door, her chest heaving rapidly as she took deep breaths. At the same time, her hand slowly found the handle of the fire door.

God bless...

She whispered softly, then vigorously pulled open the fire door. Expected light did not flood in from the corridor outside the door; when she opened it, it was also pitch black outside.

That meant Alice Cheng was safe and had not exposed herself by the action of pulling the door.

Sweating profusely, Alice Cheng, overjoyed, stepped into the darkness outside as if she had been reborn.

Almost simultaneously as she opened the fire door, Ye Jian too darted from inside a room, having been keenly monitoring Alice Cheng’s every move with his G3, enabling him to react timely.

Darting out, he attacked from behind Alice Cheng, grabbing her neck with his elbow, pulling her into the room with motions as swift as lightning, just like dragging a rag doll.

Inside the room was a male guest, but he was currently unconscious, lying on the bed. Ye Jian incapacitated him further to prevent any loud outcries.

Although always on guard, Alice Cheng, never expecting to be ambushed immediately upon stepping out, lost her initial chance to retaliate when she heard the attacker whisper in her ear that he was a Chinese. Alice instantly ceased struggling, allowing herself to be dragged in.

A Chinese, she had been waiting for them to arrive but had not anticipated encountering them at such a time.

They must have been here for a long, long time, with Noah remaining oblivious.

Shocked, Alice ceased struggling. At this moment, she didn’t want to struggle anymore. She needed to survive and get out. Since Noah and his team could no longer manage that, she would have to rely on the Chinese who had come to rescue her.

”OK, I understand; I won’t make a fuss, I will cooperate with you fully.” The situationally aware Alice spoke calmly, sensing her body gradually relaxing, believing with the arrival of the Chinese, she might actually make it back safely.

God, she definitely would leave safely.
