Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Ye Jian really wanted to pretend she hadn’t heard, but out of politeness, she still stopped and gestured for the car to wait for her nearby—the car couldn’t drive off, as that would take away her excuse to leave immediately.

The sentinel was still verifying Chen Shuzhen’s credentials, and when he saw her calling the peacekeeping female soldier who had just shown him her ID, the sentinel stepped closer and quietly reminded Ye Jian.

Seeing this, Chen Shuzhen’s face grew even more angry, thinking that the sentinel was deliberately making things difficult for her, but she was powerless and could only stand there fuming alone until Ye Jian took the initiative to come over, which slightly improved her expression.

As Ye Jian approached, she saluted Chen and spoke first, ”Sorry, we cannot accept individual interviews from journalists. Please wait here for a moment, once we confirm everything is in order, we will let you through.”

After speaking, she saluted again, briskly, not even giving Chen Shuzhen a chance to respond, and turned to leave.

”Hey... you...”

Chen Shuzhen, who thought she was finally going to interview the Chinese peacekeepers, was stunned, uttering a few bewildered sounds and helplessly watching the peacekeeping female soldier walk away.

She thought that once she obtained a pass, the Chinese peacekeepers would surely treat her with utmost respect, no longer shutting her out like before and taking her pride seriously.

Contrary to her expectations, even with a pass, she was still treated the same way as before: rejected and disregarded, and not treated politely just because she was a Wanhai reporter.

Feeling slighted by the sentinel and treated lightly by the peacekeeping female soldier, Chen Shuzhen was so angry that her hands trembled as she held her camera.

”Priding yourselves as a nation of etiquette, is this your way of treating guests?”

As Ye Jian walked away, she heard Reporter Chen Shuzhen’s question from behind and furrowed her brow slightly, understanding somewhat why G3 and White Crane disliked Reporter Chen Shuzhen.

The sentinel strictly enforced the regulations, what did that have to do with the way of treating guests?

Why did that sound so strange?

Why did it sound strange?, Ye Jian quickly figured out while getting in the car, ”A sense of superiority is at play, thinking she’s from Wanhai, we should treat her as a special guest, coddling and adoring her to make her happy and satisfy her sense of superiority in front of us.”

T6 instantly clarified this for Ye Jian. No wonder she thought her words sounded strange—it really was so!

”Does she have a problem here?” Ye Jian tapped her own head, ”Coming in front of Chinese soldiers looking for a sense of superiority, she really has guts.”

”People with a disorder in their brain are too foolish, naturally they are bold,” Z7 sneered lightly, then asked what Chen Shuzhen wanted now that she had come over.

”She managed to get a pass, the sentinel is still verifying its authenticity, once it’s confirmed to be no issue, you’ll see her around the camp soon,” said Ye Jian.

V8 sighed deeply, ”It will be a sad story, thinking she could expose a dark side of our army’s peacekeeping soldiers, but in the end, she came boldly and will leave disappointed.”

At that, everyone in the car laughed softly.

Ye Jian then learned that this reporter from Wanhai, besides covering the situation in Libya, had also taken it upon herself to expose the faults of our country’s peacekeeping soldiers, always following and photographing them, trying to capture their faults.

In addition, she was also adept at researching, when our peacekeeping soldiers patrolled with soldiers from other countries, she would immediately go to interview those soldiers, trying to dig up scandals to sensationalize in her reports in Wanhai, in order to malign our country’s soldiers.
