Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

”Azure Bird...” White Crane called out to Ye Jian, who was walking ahead. The three of them whispered for a moment, and Ye Jian glanced subtly at the expressive reporter from Wanhai and nodded slightly, ”Alright, I understand. You guys go back to the car. I’ll go alone.”

G3 and White Crane, who had previously dealt with Reporter Chen, were worried that she might recognize their voices as their own.

Sitting inside the car, Xia Jinyuan saw G3 and White Crane return and let Ye Jian go alone to verify the identity. He asked, ”What happened? Did you encounter something?”

The vehicle they were driving was not from the camp, so it could not approach the camp. It had to be parked within a safe area from the crossfire, and only after the identity verification was complete could they drive into the camp.

G3 said, ”The reporter from Wanhai is here again.”

Upon hearing this, Xia Jinyuan’s lips tightened, and T6 let out a cold laugh, ”A weasel paying a New Year visit to a chicken—never with good intentions. We rescued her, and look at her now, she’s thinking of framing us!”

Everyone, including Xia Jinyuan, had a very poor impression of Reporter Chen.

”Just don’t give her the opportunity,” Xia Jinyuan said indifferently. ”Her identity is sensitive. If you encounter her, just avoid her.”

”I truly don’t want to run into her,” said T6, his eyes filled with coldness. ”She’s hellbent on causing trouble for our military. She goes to Wanhai and extensively reports to tarnish the image of our peacekeeping soldiers, with such a malicious mind!”

T6 spoke the truth, without a hint of exaggeration. Chen Shuzhen always asked other countries’ peacekeeping soldiers what they thought of the Chinese peacekeepers, even misleading the peacekeepers she interviewed to achieve her agenda.

Yet, she had never succeeded.

”We have no faults for her to capture; no matter how much she tries, she won’t find any news that could damage the image of our military,” G3 patted T6’s shoulder, saying with a smile, ”Don’t take it to heart. She’s a rare case, most of the people from Wanhai are very friendly.”

The cold expression on T6’s face finally eased a lot.

Ahead, Reporter Chen had come to the Chinese peacekeeping camp countless times, but each time she was stopped and never succeeded in entering the camp.

This time, she brought more documents than usual, including a pass that allowed entry into the camp.

Reporter Chen, who was stopped at the gate every time, somehow managed to get a pass for the Chinese peacekeeping camp that allowed her to enter and exit normally as a reporter. Even after the peacekeeping soldiers had checked, they did not immediately let her in; only after re-verification was she allowed to enter.

Reporter Chen was upset.

She was a reporter and had a pass. Why wouldn’t they allow her in?

Was it because she was a reporter from Wanhai, and therefore the Chinese peacekeepers were neglecting her?

This thought made Reporter Chen’s emotions flare dramatically.

Ye Jian approached, handed all her documents to the soldiers for verification, and asked the nearby Reporter Chen, who picked up her camera wanting to take pictures. A peacekeeping soldier, who had been keeping an eye on her, swiftly stepped forward and blocked her lens, ”Comrade, photographing is prohibited in our military camp, and all war correspondents are forbidden from taking pictures of our peacekeeping soldiers.”

Unable to take pictures and barred from entering, Chen Shuzhen was so angry she was shaking all over. ”I am a war correspondent! You have no right to stop me from taking photos!”

”Comrade, our military is not stopping you from taking photos, but the area you are currently in is temporarily managed by our military, and we have the right to stop you,” the peacekeeping soldier replied firmly, giving no ground. Chen Shuzhen’s press credentials had no effect whatsoever.

Ye Jian did not go back to the car. Instead, she stood at the gate, waiting for Xia Jinyuan to drive the vehicle into the camp.

As the vehicle passed through, Ye Jian was just about to step into the camp when Reporter Chen called out to her.
