The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 81: Chapter 81: Small Talk? The Deadly Kind_1

”Supreme Sky Corporation’s Chairman Zhao has been secretly supporting the Baker Family, acting as their backing.”

Carson Flores got the answer he wanted and didn’t ask further. His gaze landed on Sergio Combs’s face. ”Sergio Combs is your friend, isn’t he? His mouth was filthy just now, insulting my two little sisters with his words...”

A flash of ferocity sparkled in Jose Rich’s eyes as the sheath of his knife flew out of his hand, striking Sergio Combs right in the mouth.

”Ah!”

With a scream, Sergio Combs’s mouth filled with blood, several teeth knocked out in an instant.

Jose Rich was the type who would slash someone without a word, so in a life or death situation, why would he show any mercy to Sergio Combs?

”Mr. Flores?”

Carson Flores stared at Sergio Combs. ”Do you have any reinforcements? If not, I’m leaving.”

Sergio Combs shook his head frantically; how could he dare to make a sound? Sure, he could contact his cousin, but what good would that do?

Damien Baker could only turn to Martin Baker, and Martin Baker might only be able to turn to Drake Bernard. Drake Bernard relied on people like Jose Rich. Jose Rich had already turned his back without a second thought. Wasn’t this just coming full circle?

Sergio Combs wasn’t a fool; he realized he’d bitten off more than he could chew.

Didn’t Jose Rich’s face turn pale as a ghost?

Jose Rich didn’t dare to mess with Carson Flores, in fact, he was scared stiff!

With Sergio Combs’s mouth full of blood and the tattooed young man’s back of the hand pierced, they had been punished. Carson Flores couldn’t be bothered with them anymore and said indifferently to Jose Rich, ”Keep your people in line. If I run into them again, I’m going to have a serious chat with you.”

A chat?

The life-threatening kind?

Cold sweat streamed down Jose Rich’s forehead as he hurriedly replied with respect, ”Rest assured, Mr. Flores, I will discipline them once I get back.”

Carson Flores turned his head and smiled at the two ladies. ”Let’s go.”

Jose Rich watched as Carson Flores and the two women got into a taxi, finally letting out a long sigh of relief, wiping the cold sweat off his forehead, and straightening his hunched back.

The tattooed young man moved closer and asked in a low voice, ”Brother Rich, is this Mr. Flores... really that powerful?”

Jose Rich slapped him across the ear and whispered angrily, ”Fuck, you almost got me killed, did you know that?”

The tattooed young man touched his face, saying with a wronged tone, ”It was all Rat’s idea.”

Jose Rich coldly said, ”Remember his face well. Tell the others to keep their eyes bright and not provoke him anymore. Otherwise, you won’t even know how you died. To him, killing you would be no different than squashing an ant.”

The tattooed young man’s pupils shrank sharply as he quickly promised, ”Got it, Brother Rich... Brother Rich, who the hell is he? Can you give me some background?”

After some thought, Jose Rich decided it was better to be clear, otherwise, these kids would cause him more trouble. What wouldn’t that be courting death?

Jose Rich gestured for the tattooed young man to come closer and whispered, ”The company’s Mr. Li, Iron Fist, and Evil Ghost, they’re all dead.”

The tattooed young man’s face turned pale, his eyes filled with terror.

Holy shit, this guy is that vicious?

Jose Rich shook his broken arm, ”This was what he did the first time I went to cause him trouble. This was him being merciful. Otherwise, hmph!”

The tattooed young man’s scalp went numb as he nodded quickly, ”Thank you, Brother Rich, for protecting me today. Otherwise, I would have been done for.”

Jose Rich waved his hand dismissively, ”Take them to the hospital.”

Jose Rich walked up to Sergio Combs, who looked at him with hateful eyes, and said indifferently, ”I didn’t hit you, and that just means you’ll die a worse death. Let me remind you, he’s not someone you can afford to mess with. Not your uncle, not even Mr. Baker. Let this be the end of it. Otherwise, next time it won’t be just losing a few teeth.”

Sergio Combs’s eyes widened. Even Mr. Baker couldn’t afford to provoke him?

”Brother Rich, who exactly is he?”

To Sergio Combs, Jose Rich wasn’t about to reveal too much, ”I’m not clear on the details myself. If you don’t take my advice, you’re welcome to keep troubling him, but leave me out of it. I’m not ready to die yet!”

...

After dropping Rebecca Ward off at home, it was already midnight for Carson Flores.

Light spilled from the study, clearly indicating that Shirley Miller was working overtime.

After his shower, Carson Flores, toweling his hair, approached the slightly ajar door of the study and knocked.

Shirley Miller glanced up and said casually, ”You’re back.”

Carson Flores nodded, ”Still busy?”

Shirley Miller’s face showed worry as she hummed in affirmation, then hesitated before finally saying, ”You go to sleep first.”

But Carson Flores didn’t leave. Instead, he entered the study and sat down opposite Shirley Miller. ”Can’t get the loan sorted out?”

Shirley Miller focused on Carson Flores. ”You know?”

Carson Flores smiled, ”Ocean Blue Bank is pressing for debt, withdrawing the company’s liquid assets. The company’s accounts are nearly empty. The only solution is to secure a loan to maintain operations and pay for the acquisition’s subsequent funds. What Martin Baker is waiting for is this moment. As soon as you can’t get a loan, you’ll have to resign. Believe it or not, as soon as he takes over, the loan will be approved immediately, and Ocean Blue Bank will reopen the loan channel for the company...”

Shirley Miller looked at Carson Flores in surprise, ”How do you know all this?”

Carson Flores chuckled, ”It’s all over the company. Obviously, Martin Baker deliberately made it so. This way, he can suppress some of the voices that support you and smoothly take over.”

Shirley Miller lifted her hands and massaged her temples, her expression anxious, ”I called the banks that had agreed to terms with us before, but they all changed their tune, making up all sorts of excuses to refuse me...”
