Doctor: I Can Synthesize Infinite Entries

Chapter 300: Chapter 216: Appointment Announcement: An Astonishingly Stellar Record

The department’s doctors understood and agreed with Director Duan’s decision.

”Ma’am, have you decided on the surgical plan?”

Dr. Du began the standard procedure.

If no family members had been present, they could have followed protocol, gotten the hospital’s signed approval, and proceeded with life-saving measures.

However, if a family member was present and refused to sign for the surgery, the hospital had no choice but to respect their wishes.

Li Zhaodi simply didn’t believe Director Duan could be so heartless. For years, she and her brother had known his limits; if they made enough of a scene, they could always get the money they wanted out of him.

Besides, the expert’s fee was only forty thousand. He, Duan Xingping, certainly wasn’t short on that kind of money.

Li Zhaodi was confident she had Director Duan wrapped around her finger.

”Duan Xingping, I’m ordering you to go pay that fee right now and get Director You over here... Otherwise, we’re through...”

But before she could even mention divorce, Director Duan turned his head and said coldly:

”Fine. We’ll get a divorce tomorrow.”

With that, he walked straight into the trauma bay. He would do everything he could and should for the patient.

But he wouldn’t pretend to be capable of things he wasn’t.

Director Duan still took out his phone, called Wu Ting, and described the patient’s condition in detail.

After listening, Wu Ting said he could head over as soon as the family signed the consent form.

Director Duan was, of course, extremely grateful to Wu Ting.

”Ma’am, I’ve already spoken with Dr. Wu from City First Hospital. If you agree to sign, Dr. Wu can come to our hospital immediately to perform the surgery. Please, think it over carefully.”

Director Duan then returned to the trauma bay to provide initial emergency care to Li Rui, but the patient’s condition was grim.

A little while later, Director Duan checked on the patient’s condition. If they didn’t operate soon, it would be too late.

However, the response he received was the same:

”The family member still refuses to sign or pay. She’s insisting on getting Director You and wants you to foot the bill, Director...”

Director Duan shook his head. ’I’ve done everything I can.’

”Issue a notice of critical condition...”

At this, Li Zhaodi truly began to panic.

She finally went to pay the fee to summon Director You, but too much time had been wasted. Before Director You could even arrive, resuscitation efforts failed, and the patient died.

The incident inevitably caused a stir.

However, Yu State Hospital’s stance was unequivocal: Director Duan had followed all regulations and was in no way at fault.

Since Director Duan was also going through a divorce, the hospital gave him a few days off to rest and recuperate, telling him to return once the situation had blown over.

Yu State Hospital also posted an announcement about the incident on its official website. The wording expressed complete support and encouragement for Director Duan.

As for Director Duan and Li Zhaodi, they did, in the end, get divorced.

「Three days later.」

Director Duan threw himself back into his work. This ordeal had given him a new sense of clarity. He decided to focus all his energy on his career.

...

...

Another week went by. During that week, Wu Ting received his graduate diploma and degree certificate in the mail from the Jinggang University Medical School Graduate School.

Wu Ting’s credentials now officially listed him as a Master’s graduate from Jinggang University Medical School Graduate School!

City First Hospital held a routine hospital-wide meeting.

After the meeting, the hospital administration announced some bombshell news, along with personnel changes!

”First, we have a grand plan for the hospital’s next three years. The new building constructed on the site of the west parking lot has been officially designated as the future Hepatic Tumor Center, a seven-story facility.”

”The first floor: the Hepatic Tumor Surgery outpatient department...”

”The second and third floors: education and scientific research, including simulation rooms, laboratories, and classrooms...”

”The fourth floor: preventative medicine and health services, including specialized screening programs for Hepatitis B-related primary liver cancer...”

”The fifth, sixth, and seventh floors: inpatient wards... with a total of 547 beds...”

The sheer scale of this new Hepatic Tumor Center and the plan to establish a dedicated Hepatic Tumor Surgery department left the thousand-plus employees of City First Hospital completely stunned.

But the second bombshell announcement was even more astounding.

”Dr. Wu Ting, currently the chief resident of the Laparoscopic Diagnosis and Treatment Research Center within the Emergency Department, will be granted an extraordinary promotion. He is appointed as Deputy Director of Emergency Surgery, concurrently serving as Deputy Director of Hepatobiliary Surgery...”

”Furthermore, the three-year plan specifies that once the Hepatic Tumor Center is complete and its departmental staff and structure are fully established, Deputy Director Wu Ting will be appointed as the inaugural Director of the Fan City First Hospital’s Department of Hepatic Tumor Surgery!”

To quell any doubts, the announcement included an appendix with the resume of the newly appointed Deputy Chief Physician, Wu Ting:

Still, this resume alone was more than enough to leave everyone speechless and in awe.
