Doctor: I Can Synthesize Infinite Entries

Chapter 254: Chapter 202: Shocking Performance! Graduate Thesis Defense

For the next few days, Wu Ting meticulously completed his graduate thesis defense report, as well as the material he would discuss with Professor Lin Ning at the upcoming lecture.

At this point, Wu Ting was a true top-tier expert in immunology, having synthesized the strengths of various schools of thought. He had combined Shen Siyuan’s theoretical framework, Dean Chen Bofeng’s related theories, and his own original discovery of the negative immunoregulatory mechanism in hepatitis B-related primary liver cancer. With this three-pronged approach, Wu Ting eagerly awaited the intellectual feast he would present to the attendees.

Early Friday morning, Wu Ting arrived at Jinggang University Medical College.

Upon his arrival, he was stunned by the sheer scale of the Jin Pharmaceutical Group’s contribution. The entire lecture was funded by them.

From the moment he entered the college, the entire way was lined with all sorts of signs and promotional displays.

There were advertisements for the Jin Pharmaceutical Group and three other top pharmaceutical companies, as well as the most eye-catching poster of all: one featuring Professor Lin Ning and a mysterious guest.

If he didn’t know he was the mysterious guest himself, even Wu Ting would have felt his blood pump with excitement, eagerly anticipating this evening’s ”Duel of the Masters of Immunology”!

Moreover, the lecture would be live-streamed, with links available on the official accounts of Kuaipin and Jinggang University.

”They really put a lot of thought into this.”

As Wu Ting walked, he couldn’t help but feel a little moved. The pharmaceutical companies and the HHMI Research Institute had really shown a great deal of respect to Jinggang University Medical College this time.

Of course, Wu Ting understood this was all for his benefit.

However, Wu Ting wasn’t in the mood to think about the lecture right now. He had to finish up his thesis defense first.

Wu Ting first went to Shen Siyuan’s office to print several copies of his final report, which would be distributed to the expert panel later.

...

...

While Wu Ting was preparing, car after car began to pull into the Jinggang University Medical College campus.

In his office, Dean Song was on pins and needles. The people arriving this time were all heavyweights.

He glanced at the time. It was about time.

Soon, Dean Song’s first phone call came. It was Deputy Director Han Yu of the National Natural Science Foundation Committee.

Dean Song immediately took his assistant to greet him.

As the deputy director of the foundation, Han Yu was treated like the God of Wealth at any university he visited, and Dean Song was no exception.

What university didn’t apply for project funding? What university didn’t want to be on good terms with the foundation’s bigwigs?

Even a top-tier institution like Jinggang University had to put in a great deal of effort to apply for funding from the National Natural Science Foundation. He never expected that for Wu Ting’s project, Director Han would personally pay a visit.

Dean Song and Director Han shook hands and chatted warmly. Not long after they returned to the office, Dean Song’s phone rang again.

”Director Han, please make yourself comfortable for a moment. I must excuse myself. Professor Deng Fujiu from Xianglin City Transportation University has arrived. I need to go greet him.”

Dean Song’s voice was full of confidence as he mentioned Professor Deng Fujiu’s name. After all, Professor Deng’s prestige was top-tier in Jin Country.

Sure enough, hearing that Deng Fujiu had also arrived gave Han Yu a peculiar feeling. His anticipation and curiosity for Wu Ting’s project grew even stronger.

A short while later, Dean Song and Deng Fujiu entered the office, chatting and laughing.

Han Yu and Professor Deng were old acquaintances, and they too conversed happily.

A little later, another top professor in the country arrived: Vice Dean Chen Bofeng from Xuanshang University Affiliated Tumor Hospital.

Dean Chen had previously thought he was invited by Wu Ting and Shen Siyuan to lend some weight to the event. But upon seeing Deng Fujiu and Han Yu, he was utterly dumbfounded.

Suddenly, Dean Chen felt that perhaps this time, it wasn’t Wu Ting who needed him, but rather that he was the one benefiting from Wu Ting’s rising star.

After all, where else could you find such a star-studded expert panel for a thesis defense?

While the men were enjoying their pleasant conversation, another senior figure arrived.

It was Professor Ye Xin, Wu Ting’s academic grandmaster!

Professor Ye was already very fond of his grand-disciple, but seeing the complete expert panel this time, he was even more surprised.

’This grand-disciple is incredible! It seems I’ve done well for myself as his undeserving grandmaster!’

During their small talk, the men also brought up the lecture they had seen advertised around the school today.

Dean Song also took the opportunity to share his ”genius plan” with the assembled top experts.

After hearing about it, the experts found it very interesting and decided to attend the grand event that afternoon.

Dean Song had hoped for this all along. Their presence would be another major shock and thrill for the students and faculty in attendance, as well as for the viewers watching online!

The group sat together and chatted for a while longer, until it was almost time.

”Everyone, since we’re all here and it’s about time, shall we head to the classroom and begin Wu Ting’s thesis defense?”

Dean Song looked at the bigwigs in his office, his tone consultative.

This gathering of people really had the gravitas of a national key project committee.

”Let’s go, then.”

...

...

Jiang Xiaohong, a graduate student at Jinggang University Medical College, was walking with her best friend to the library early in the morning.

They took in the grand promotional displays for the lecture all over campus, feeling incredibly excited.

But to their surprise, they overheard several students pointing at a group of people who had just walked by, exclaiming in amazement.

Jiang Xiaohong and her friend’s gossipy spirits were ignited, and they leaned in closer to listen.

”Did you guys see that? The man walking with Dean Song just now was Director Deng from the BIO-X Life Science Research Center! I saw him once when I went to Xianglin City Transportation University to visit my girlfriend. They’ve come to our medical college!”
