Doctor: I Can Synthesize Infinite Entries

Chapter 286: Chapter 212: So My Son Is This Amazing

Wu Ting thanked Shen Xiaofei, ”Director Shen, thank you so much for this. I’ll come see you at Jinggang University Affiliated First Hospital next week.”

”I’ll be waiting for you in our department, then.”

”Wu Ting, send me a copy of the surgery video later. I want our department’s doctors to study this new emergency procedure for severe hemorrhage from liver rupture that Dr. Wu plans to introduce to grassroots hospitals.”

Shen Xiaofei held Wu Ting’s clinical talent in the highest regard and was truly eager to learn about his brand-new hemostasis technique.

”Of course. But this technique is more suited for grassroots hospitals, so don’t think it’s too unsophisticated when you see it, Director Shen.”

After making arrangements with Shen Xiaofei, Wu Ting hung up the phone.

Putting down the phone, Wu Ting looked at the still-shocked Dean Liu and Director Duan, as well as the two elders standing to the side.

”Dean Liu, can we begin the surgery now?”

Wu Ting asked calmly, filled with confidence.

Looking at the young man before him, personally recommended by Director Shen, Dean Liu naturally felt honored.

”Director Liu, since Dr. Wu is this incredible, why didn’t you tell us sooner?”

Director Duan felt quite helpless. Who could have known that Wu Ting was also this incredibly skilled in the field of hepatobiliary surgery?

”Dr. Wu, my apologies. I had no idea you were this skilled... Shall we begin then?”

Before heading into surgery, Wu Ting called over the young nurse standing beside Dr. Du and whispered something in her ear.

The young nurse’s face flushed red in an instant. She looked at Wu Ting in disbelief and asked for confirmation.

This was an expert personally recommended by Shen Xiaofei, a top figure in the province, and admired by Dean Liu and Director Duan. The young nurse didn’t dare to question him and immediately went to make preparations.

”Uncle Huang, Dad, please wait here. Leave Auntie to me.”

In the medical field, Wu Ting’s every word and action exuded a professionalism that was incredibly reassuring to the family.

They watched as Wu Ting led Dean Liu, Director Duan, Dr. Du, and the rest of the team to begin the emergency procedure.

The two old men felt a surge of excitement in their hearts.

Wu Mu, in particular, had truly seen a different side of his son today. In front of the vice dean of the county hospital, he was strategic and commanding, fully embodying the presence of an expert!

’So my son is this incredible!’

Huang Liangyu grasped Wu Mu’s hand, overcome with gratitude. ”Brother Wu, we’re really depending entirely on Wu Ting this time.”

...

...

After entering the operating room, Wu Ting calmly began to give instructions.

”Dean Liu, please arrange to have this surgery video recorded. I’m about to use a brand-new hemostasis protocol. Afterwards, it can be used for training and study within the department. In the future, when you encounter this kind of massive hemorrhage from a liver rupture, you’ll have a convenient solution.”

Hearing Wu Ting’s instructions, Dean Liu was a little skeptical, but he still went to make the arrangements immediately.

Once the video recording for the surgery was set up, Wu Ting took his place at the operating table as the lead surgeon.

Just then, the nurse whom Wu Ting had instructed brought over the various instruments he had requested.

Looking at the equipment Wu Ting required, Dean Liu and the others were all dumbfounded.

The nurse was blushing slightly, but Wu Ting had given the order, and she could only do as she was told.

They watched as the nurse took a condom, ligated the reservoir at its tip with a silk thread, and then began soaking it in povidone-iodine. At the same time, she took out a size 14 French urinary catheter and poked one more small hole near the guide hole at its tip.

”Dr. Wu, what is this?”

Dean Liu couldn’t make any sense of what Wu Ting was doing.

Wu Ting had already begun using intestinal clamps to clamp the hepatoduodenal ligament, starting to occlude the hepatic blood flow.

Hearing Dean Liu’s question, he explained as he continued to operate:

”This is a balloon I’m fashioning to treat the penetrating liver injury via balloon tamponade hemostasis within the wound track...”

”Dean Liu, assist me with the Pringle maneuver...”

Things having come to this, Dean Liu had no choice but to cooperate. He had to admit that Wu Ting’s technique so far was truly first-class.

With Dean Liu’s assistance, Wu Ting finished suctioning the blood from the abdominal cavity...

Meanwhile, on the other side, the young nurse began to inflate the condom through the small hole she had made in the catheter. She tied the opening tightly with a silk thread to ensure it wouldn’t slip and that no air would leak...

Faced with such a bizarre scene, the young nurse felt this part of the procedure would be an experience she would never forget for the rest of her life.

On the operating table, Wu Ting began to clear the blood clots from the wound track...

”Hydrogen peroxide... Saline... 0.2% metronidazole solution...”

Wu Ting gave the orders calmly. After completing this step, he looked at the young nurse. ”Is it ready?”

The young nurse checked her work, looked at the enigmatic young expert from City First Hospital, and replied:

”Dr. Wu, it’s ready!”

”Good. Wrap the balloon with a pedicled greater omentum flap... and give me a long pair of forceps...”

This was a critical step. Following Wu Ting’s detailed instructions, the young nurse did as she was told and handed it to him.

After taking it, Wu Ting began to execute his stunning, genius-level idea!

Dean Liu, Director Luo, Director Duan, and Dr. Du all held their breath, watching Wu Ting’s unconventional technique.

They watched as Wu Ting carefully controlled the long forceps, inserting the device into the liver’s wound track all the way to the lateral opening of the laceration...

”Dean Liu, assist me. Pack gelatin sponge around the balloon...”

Watching Wu Ting’s maneuver, Dean Liu finally began to understand his line of thinking. ’So that’s how it works!’ He immediately assisted Wu Ting, eagerly anticipating the next step...

Wu Ting then skillfully began to suture the surface laceration closed.

Watching Wu Ting’s suturing technique, Dean Liu found it aesthetically pleasing.

Director Duan had seen the level of Wu Ting’s suturing before, but watching it again, he was still filled with immense admiration.
