Doctor: I Can Synthesize Infinite Entries

Chapter 293: Chapter 214: The Other Hospital’s Fight! A Special Meeting for Wu Ting’s Promotion

”Therefore, based on the current funding, Wu Ting’s project has significant potential for practical application. Of course, the key to all this is Wu Ting’s research talent and clinical skill.”

”For such an outstanding young doctor, keeping him at Fan City First Hospital to do research is, in my opinion, limiting him... If we could invite him here, he would be able to reach his full potential on our hospital’s platform...”

”So, I’ve brought you all here to discuss what kind of position we could offer Wu Ting if we were to invite him.”

Competition at Jinggang University Affiliated First Hospital was fierce, but its resources were equally vast. As long as Dean Song gave the word, it wouldn’t be difficult to create a dedicated department for Wu Ting.

”Director Fu, I’m thinking of creating a Second Department of Hepatic Tumor Surgery specifically for Dr. Wu, to focus on the diagnosis and treatment of primary liver cancer caused by hepatitis B. We’ll appoint him as an associate chief physician for now. You can mentor him initially. When the time is right, we’ll build a team with him at its core. Once he meets the criteria, we’ll fast-track his promotion to chief physician, putting him in sole charge of the Second Department of Hepatic Tumor Surgery. What do you think?”

Fu Jinfen was stunned by Dean Song’s words. An independent department at Jinggang University Affiliated First Hospital!

Compared to City First Hospital, it was a world of difference.

Had it been anyone else, Fu Jinfen would certainly have objected. But when it came to Wu Ting, he was truly in full support.

Recently, Wu Ting had brought more to the table than Fu Jinfen had taught him. The young man had immense potential and limitless possibilities.

Especially his integrated technique for the curative treatment of primary liver cancer caused by hepatitis B—if he could successfully develop it, it would be a massive leap forward for Jinggang University Affiliated First Hospital’s Hepatic Tumor Surgery field!

From the bottom of his heart, Fu Jinfen looked forward to collaborating with Wu Ting.

”Dean Song, considering Wu Ting’s talent and accomplishments in the field of hepatic tumors, I believe this is an excellent proposal. I’m confident that the other colleagues in our department would also welcome Dr. Wu’s arrival.”

Wu Ting had made a very good impression on the Hepatic Tumor Surgery department recently. Mainstay doctors like Liu Xingye, for instance, were thoroughly impressed by him.

”No, no, no, I think we should invite Wu Ting to our Hepatobiliary Surgery department. I can create a Second Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery for him too.”

Shen Xiaofei had lost out to Shen Siyuan last time. This time, with an opportunity to invite Wu Ting to his department, he was naturally putting his all into it.

”Actually, Dr. Wu isn’t just a genius in the field of hepatic tumors. He’s also a genius in hepatobiliary surgery, a complete package who excels at both research and clinical practice.”

”The project on primary liver cancer from hepatitis B was just something he picked up to complete his graduate studies. In fact, I’d already collaborated with him on multiple occasions before that. Hepatobiliary surgery is where his true talents lie.”

Shen Xiaofei then listed all of Wu Ting’s accomplishments in the field:

”He established the national expert consensus on laparoscopic day-case cholecystectomy...”

”He’s proficient in various hepatobiliary laparoscopic techniques, like EST, ERCP, and the modified ESPBD surgical technique: endoscopic sphincterotomy with a small incision of the duodenal papilla combined with balloon dilation...”

”Furthermore, he’s also highly skilled in the emergency treatment of massive hemorrhage from liver rupture, capable of proficiently performing various types of partial hepatectomies...”

”Just a few days ago, at Yu State Hospital, he invented a balloon compression method for hemostasis—a brand-new surgical technique perfectly suited for local hospitals. Although the technique itself isn’t difficult, its strength lies in its convenience and ingenuity, allowing local hospitals to perform it reliably... This is without a doubt the hallmark and capability of a true top-tier expert...”

”Of course, and most importantly, I’ve known Wu Ting longer than Director Fu has, and we have a better relationship. Therefore, I believe inviting Wu Ting to our Hepatobiliary Surgery department is the better choice.”

”We can also facilitate his project on primary liver cancer in our Hepatobiliary Surgery department. I think we’d be underestimating him by limiting him to just that one project. He has the potential for much greater development in hepatobiliary surgery...”

Shen Xiaofei argued his case forcefully.

He had been worried his proposal would be met with resentment from the directors, but he never expected it would turn into a competition for Dr. Wu.

While Dean Song breathed a sigh of relief, he also gained a more comprehensive understanding of Wu Ting’s capabilities and influence from what Shen Xiaofei and Fu Jinfen said.

”Director Shen, if we’re talking about who knew Wu Ting first and has a deeper connection with him, I’m afraid no one here can beat me.”

At that moment, Shen Guofeng made his move.

”As everyone knows, Dr. Wu’s story here at Jinggang University Affiliated First Hospital began when I brought him over. It was also my push for the Laparoscopic Diagnosis and Treatment Technology Research Center at Fan City First Hospital that led to the discovery of a brilliant young talent like Wu Ting.”

”Moreover, based on my observations and analysis, the most suitable place for Wu Ting is, in fact, our Emergency Department. He was born for emergency medicine.”

”Do you all even realize? In surgery, his solid fundamentals and comprehensive skills are on full display—his suturing, tendon repair, vascular repair, nerve repair, appendectomies, handling of acute cholecystitis, and his performance in numerous emergency situations. *That* is the complete Wu Ting.”

”When I first met Wu Ting, he was already brilliant in areas like burn resuscitation, tracheotomies, and the integration of National and modern medicine... I agree with Shen Xiaofei’s point. Wu Ting shouldn’t be confined to a single department or field. He should be a comprehensive clinician, a truly versatile, top-tier surgeon!”
