Chapter 256: Chapter 202: A Shocking Performance! The Thesis Defense (Part 3)

”Based on the research field of that ’performance artist’ Wu Ting’s team, if these titans of immunology could be united into a single group, they might just be able to bring the so-called project of the audacious Wu Ting to fruition.”

”However, these titans are from all over and have their own distinct schools of thought; how could they possibly unite? As for one person mastering and integrating the theories of several schools to conduct this kind of research—that’s even more impossible. Human ability has its limits. No one can master and apply all these theories at the same time.”

You Wei’s final comment was faultless, and it also maintained his respect for these titans.

So what? Was Wu Ting’s team from Jinggang University going to refute them? Would they dare?

...

...

While everyone’s attention was focused on the public lecture in the afternoon, Wu Ting’s graduate project thesis defense officially began.

To maintain the mystique and drama of the afternoon lecture, Dean Song had deliberately controlled the information. Essentially, aside from the personnel involved, no one knew about Wu Ting’s thesis defense.

On the expert panel, seated in order, were Dean Song, Han Yu, Ye Xin, Deng Fujiu, and Chen Bofeng.

Shen Siyuan stood nervously to the side, watching his student begin his thesis defense.

Today, Wu Ting was once again dressed very formally. He wore a crisp blue suit, which made him look both official and somewhat lighthearted.

Wu Ting began his presentation:

Project Lead... Start and End Dates... Submission Date...

In fact, this project had begun long ago at City First Hospital, especially the first phase...

Next, Wu Ting announced his project team members:

Shen Siyuan, Yan Xi, Cheng Feng, and others were all on the list. He also gave special thanks to the students and faculty of Jinggang University Medical College, as well as the relevant research assistants from the hepatobiliary surgery and Hepatic Tumor Surgery departments...

Following that was the summary of Wu Ting’s research work:

This part was extremely detailed and credible.

Wu Ting gave a brief overview of the various clinical case statistics, video footage, and photographic materials from over the course of the project...

After that came the presentation of his stunning research paper achievements.

This especially included the recognition from the special issue of *Cell* for the second phase and the news that the first phase was about to be published in *Liver Transplantation*...

In addition to the papers, Wu Ting also presented the surgical video of a recent patient, Liu Xia!

It was the first time the members of the expert panel had seen such an epoch-making surgical plan!

Although the experts had mentally prepared themselves, seeing the actual results of Wu Ting’s exploratory clinical trials still gave them goosebumps.

Dean Chen Bofeng in particular was immensely impressed. Seeing the presentation of the 5.0 model this time, he could tell it had evolved significantly since the last.

The experts’ hearts surged with emotion as they considered the theoretical and applied value of Wu Ting’s project.

Even though it was just the first and second phases, the results were already applicable and ready for widespread clinical use. That alone was astounding!

Dean Chen Bofeng, in particular, couldn’t wait to take Wu Ting’s entire treatment protocol and officially implement it in the Hepatic Tumor Surgery department at Xianglin City Xuanshang University Affiliated Tumor Hospital!

Deng Fujiu was similarly astounded. He suddenly felt he was incredibly lucky to be present for this thesis defense.

Professor Ye Xin was even more shaken to his core. The corners of his mouth turned up involuntarily. ’This is my grand-disciple!’
