Dragon Monarch System

842  Chapter 842:- Aditya vs Robert [VI]; Spear and Sword & Lightning and Ice

『Ding! The second function of the Crimson Warlock Set has been triggered.』

『Ding! The hostʼs Health is below 75%. Life Drain has been activated.』

『Ding! Life Drain: each time damage is received by the opponent with a weapon or unarmed attacks, you will recover a small portion of your health. The amount of health that you will recover is directly proportional to the amount of damage that your attacks do to your opponent.』

”This is the true extent of my Gravity Manipulation!!!” Robert increased the gravity by 15 times. The King of all Dragons fell to his one knee.

He struggled to stay on his feet, driving his black sword deep into the ground for support. Both of his hands gripped the hilt tightly.

His knuckles whitened as he leaned heavily on it.

”This is what I am capable of!! If I wanted, I could have ended this battle from the beginning.” However, the gravity pressure did not increase. Rather, it remained the same. A few later, Aditya realized this and wondered why Robert had not done this from the beginning. ʼIf he was really capable of ending the battle from the beginning, he would have done so. So why wait?ʼ Aditya felt slightly suffocated. Even breathing had become very difficult. ʼUnless.....!!ʼ Aditya looked at Robert and saw an expression of struggle and pain. Seeing this, the Dragon Monarch had a theory in his mind. ʼWhat if...!ʼ ʼWhat if this is his limit.ʼ The whole theory sounded very bold and daring. But looking at the current situation, this crazy guess might be the truth, or at least, his guess must be very close to the truth. ʼHe has not increased the gravity yet. However, he increased it by about 15 times. Additionally, he can increase the gravity threefold every second.ʼ ʼAdditionally, he cannot sense the fabric of space, which is very odd. A gravity user should be able to sense the fabric of space even slightly, as he can manipulate it to a degree.ʼ

ʼRobert couldnʼt manipulate the gravity of one object while adjusting his own at the same time. He had to choose—either increase the gravity around his target or decrease his own. Attempting to do both simultaneously is beyond his current limits.ʼ Aditya never saw him try this during their entire battle. ʼIt appears that he has a certain range within which he can manipulate gravity.ʼ

Drip...!!!

A drop of blood fell from his chin. Soon, multiple drops of blood started falling on the ground. When he looked at him, he was slightly stunned, but then a grin appeared on his face. Robert was bleeding. Blood was gushing out of his nose.

Another second later, Aditya saw his eyes filling with blood. And soon, blood started rolling down his cheeks like tears. At the same time, his face was rapidly turning pale. It was like he was choking on something. The veins on his throat started to appear. His body began to tremble slightly. Seeing all these changes, and feeling that the gravity was slowly returning to normal, Adityaʼs grin only widened. He had finally found another weakness of his Gravity Manipulation. ”It appears you can increase or decrease the gravity by 15 times. And you can only maintain this change in gravity for up to 3 to 5 seconds.” It might have been easier for him to maintain this gravity change longer if he increased the gravity by 10 to 12 times. ”Shu....ut up!!” He said in a choked tone. Aditya could hear a trace of panic in his voice. The gravity pressure on Aditya was lifted, but then a bunch of ice spikes rose from the ground. Just like before, he used gravity to increase the power and speed of his attack. But this time, Aditya was prepared. He teleported before the ice spikes came out of the ground. He was going to teleport just when the gravity suppression on him was lifted. Robert felt an intense bloodlust from behind. When he turned around, a black sword was already heading towards his chest. In that split second, Robert looked at the tip of the black sword and then looked at Aditya. ʼHe has found my weakness. This only leaves me with one choice.ʼ Robert knew that now was the time. It was the time for the final move.

It was his ultimate move, and the cost of using this move was his own soul. But when he thought of using this move, he felt hesitant. ʼWhy am I hesitating when from the beginning I planned to go all out against him?ʼ When Robert looked at Adityaʼs eyes, he could see a strong desire to survive and win. But Robert did not really have any strong desire to survive. His only desire was to fight the strongest with whatever he had. ʼI guess no man is immune to the fear of death.ʼ

The Hail from Snowball Momentum passive skill was still active. This means the boost that he received from this passive skill was still there. A thick layer of ice began to form over his chest. Before the tip of the black sword touched his body, his whole body except for his face, was covered in thick, solid Crystal-like armor. But it was a dense solid ice acting as armor. Clang....!!!

The tip of the black sword managed to leave a small mark on the surface of the crystal armor. Robert was completely fine. He grabbed Adityaʼs wrist and drove the ice spear that was on his left hand. Aditya realized that he could not teleport with Robert holding his wrist. And at the moment, dodging was impossible, given how fast Robert really was. His entire body turned into a bolt of Crimson lightning. Before Robert could increase the gravity to stop him, he teleported above him. ”I can see you!!” Robert while said, grinning. But the Emperor once again teleported while in his Crimson lightning form.

This time, he teleported behind Robert. He did not stop there. Instead, he teleported to his right and then left and then behind. Like this, he kept teleporting to various directions around him. The teleportation speed in his Crimson lightning form was so fast that Robert could not keep up. Within 5 seconds, the Spear Hero was confused. To counter this, Robert increases the gravity of the surroundings. Even with a 3-times gravity increase, Adityaʼs speed significantly slowed down, which was enough for Robert to keep up with his teleportation speed. ”Now, you cannot escape!!” And with each passing second, Aditya only got slower as the gravity increased. But then, a rainbow-colored lightning bolt fell from the sky. This is the last time he can use Enraged Lightning Spell in this fight. Also, at the same time, a wave of Crimson flame consumed him entirely. Although his magic attacks did nothing, it was enough to distract. And once he is distracted, the Gravity instantly returns to normal. This was another weakness of Robert that he had found. Whenever he is distracted, he cannot keep manipulating the Gravity. Once the gravity returned to normal, he went on with his plan. This was also the last time he could use Crimson Lightning Blink.

However, Robert stepped out of the Crimson flame. When he did, the enraged Lightning Spell hit his head, but he remained unfazed. His eyes seem to be searching for his target. He noticed a Crimson lightning bolt charging at him from the sky. He could sense the Dragon Monarchʼs Aura from that lightning bolt. ”This time, it wonʼt work against me. I am not going to fall for the same thing twice!!” He raised his spear to attack the Lightning bolt. Bang....!!!

Robert saw a black sword coming out of his chest. His eyes widened in horror. When he looked back, he saw Aditya. It wasnʼt him, but it was also him. He held the black sword firmly in his left palm. The left side of his body, from his arm to his shoulder, remained in its normal form, solid and human. This part, named Aditya One, was connected to a body that appeared human but was made entirely of crackling crimson lightning, surging and shifting like a living current.

The other half, Aditya Two, was also in motion. It had split off, appearing as a lightning bolt that struck his chest before reforming into the right side of Adityaʼs body—his face, neck, right arm, and right side of his chest. The rest of this form was also humanoid but made up entirely of crimson lightning, glowing fiercely and alive with energy.

Aditya One stood solidly, holding the sword, while Aditya Two moved to mislead Robert.

One half teleported behind Robert, creating an unexpected threat, while the other half seemed to strike from above, tricking Robert into believing the attack was coming from the sky. ”Even I did not know I could do something crazy like this before this fight. But tough things force you to think outside of the box.” Aditya two, replied with a small smile. 『Ding! Life Drain has been activated.....』

『Ding! The first function of the Crimson Warlock Set has been triggered.』

『Ding! Crimson Corruption has been triggered.』

『Ding! Your opponent has been cursed.』

A red sparkling Aura appeared around Robert. Robert felt something had happened to him. He felt his health point was further dropping. ʼIs this some kind of curse?ʼ He had experienced something similar in the past. But he didnʼt let himself be distracted. ”Nice....!!!” He looked at Aditya with a smile.

But something didnʼt feel right about this smile. Bang....!!!!

The smile on Adityaʼs face froze. Instead, a small trail of blood leaked from the corner of his mouth. ”I can also do this!!” ”Did you forget that Frost Terrain is still active?” Robert said with a grin. Both Aditya were impaled with thick and large ice spikes. Cryo-Gravitic Spikes!!!

The ice spikes werenʼt as powerful as the previous one, but it was enough to pierce through his armor. And earlier, Robert had alerted his bodyʼs density, which dropped his defense.

”I also changed your bodyʼs density earlier.” Both Aditya looked horrified. The next second, their bodies turned into Crimson lightning bolts. Two lightning bolts combined to become one entity before that entity transformed back into a normal human self. When the transformation was done, Aditya was on his knees in front of Robert. This time, his entire body had holes of various shapes and sizes. But the largest of them was the hole in his chest. The hole took out his original heart, and if the hole was just a few inches bigger, then it would have damaged his Blackheart, which would have ended his life immediately. The places where there werenʼt any holes were his throat, neck, and skull. If any of those places were pierced, then it would be instant death for the King of all Dragons. Cough....!!!

Robert wasnʼt doing much better, either. He coughed out a large mouthful of blood. The black sword had pierced his heart. It was a very painful experience. He felt like his insides were grilled from within. His health point had reached dangerously low. He cannot use instantaneous healing now. He had two chances, but he had used both of them. He would have won this battle if he could use another instantaneous healing. ”You were so strong that despite all the obstacles I placed in your path, you still managed to pierce my heart twice.” Robert admired Aditya. Aditya surpassed all of his previous opponents. ”Aditya, are you already done?” Robert asked him in a weak tone. ”Or do you still have some left within you?” Hearing his, Aditya did not respond. Rather, he could not respond. He had bled too much. His mind wasnʼt responding to his senses. He felt his body was getting lighter and colder with every passing second.

His Blackheart also started to slow down. This might truly might be the end for the Dragon Monarch.
