Dragon Monarch System

824  Chapter 824:- ”They are here!”

”Maʼam, the troops of the Dune Sovereignty are being led by an unknown man whom we have no information of.”

”Within 5 minutes, we should see the forces of the Dune Sovereignty.”

Victoria looked into the distance. Even with her enhanced sight, she could not see anything. The troops were slowly marching towards them. ”Do we have any information about this unknown man?” Victoria asked Amber. ”I donʼt know!!” She then looked at Nathan. Nathan ran the shadow guardian. Probably he would know something about this man. If he didnʼt then no one would. ”I donʼt know much about him.”

”But I do know that his name is Robert.”

”There is no record of his existence in Dune Sovereignty Empire.”

”According to Emma, he suddenly appeared in the Royal Palace. She was forced to run away as his Aura was so overwhelming.” ”So he is the reason why King Charles is so confident about winning against us.” Nathan silently nodded. ”Donʼt worry, I am fairly confident that I will be able to defeat him.” Now that Aditya had shared a part of his powers with Victoria, she had gotten even more powerful. ”I woke up this morning thinking that this was going to be another usual day. But within just a few hours, everything changed, and now, I am standing on the battlefield and waiting for the army of the Dune Sovereignty.” General Tyler spoke to General Scott. ”You know, for about a week now, I keep having these bad dreams. In every dream, I kept finding myself surrounded by troops. Now, I know why I kept having these dreams.” ”Yeah!! I had a similar experience. My left eye has been twitching since this morning.”

”Generals, you all sound scared.” General Tyler, Scott, and Josh turned their heads to their right. It was General Amber. They can see a small smile on her face. It was like she was excited about something. ”We are not scared. We are just serious.” Scott replied in a calm tone while General Josh just nodded his head, showing that he agreed with what Scott said.

The situation was so serious that neither Josh nor Scott cared about bitter rivalry. Both of them temporarily put their differences aside.

”The Dune Sovereignty is the final obstacle of the Istarin Empire.” All the Generals looked at General Henry. Henry was their senior. He had the most experience when it came to such things. Also, he was older than every General. Everyone greatly respected General Henry. Henry looked into the distance and continued in a serious cold tone. ”I had long seen this day coming. Whether it was the Istarin Empire or the Dune Sovereignty, both had grown too strong for each other. It was simply not possible to tolerate each otherʼs existence. So, a war was inevitable.” ”Think about it: when was the last time that we saw such two powerful Empires in the Six Continents? The Istarin Empier and the Dune Sovereignty have managed to reach a level that no Empire from the Six Continents has ever reached. This feat itself explains why we are at war with them.” Hearing this, everyone nodded their heads. What Henry was saying was indeed the truth. Before this era, the Six Continents used to be dominated by cultivation Sects. But cultivation Sects have almost disappeared from the six continents. Kingdoms and Empires have now replaced traditional cultivation sects. Even in previous eras, Kingdoms and Empires used to exist. However, it was the cultivation sects that held major powers. There were two types of cultivation sects.

The first type did not submit to any Kingdom or Empire. This means the sect, instead, conquered the areas around their sect and used their Sect members to rule and protect it. These types of Sects acted like Kingdoms with slight differences. The second type consisted of sects that formed within a kingdom or an empire. When the Sect formed, it submitted to the Empire. This meant that the Sect would lend a helping hand to the King whenever the King asked for it. Oftentimes, when a Sect became stronger than the Kingdom in which it was founded, the instability in power caused wars.

But the Era of Sects has long disappeared. It has been replaced by the rise of Kingdoms and Empires. This wasnʼt just a conflict between two Empires. It was a conflict between two of the biggest and most dominant powerhouses in the Six Continents. This war was so significant and huge that even forces from the Main Continent had to keep an eye on it. The result of the war will be something that even the Main Continent forces wonʼt be able to ignore. ”Miss Amber, you strangely look excited. Is there any particular reason for this?” Earlier, when Amber spoke to them, Tyler noticed that the fox General looked strangely excited about this war. This was unusual since she wasnʼt the type who would get excited on the battlefield. ”Well, letʼs just say that I have a bit of history with the Dune Sovereignty Empire.” It was due to the indirect influence of the Dune Sovereignty that Amber lost her family and became a slave in the first place. So, she always has held a grudge against them. Never did she think that just within less than one and half years of serving His Majesty, she would get the chance to get some revenge. ”This fight is personal for a lot of us.”

Amber looked at General Henry and continued. ”Sir, you have a bad past with our enemy, right?” Henry silently nodded his head without looking at Amber. ”What story are we talking about?” Everyone looked interested. ”The kingdom where General Henry once served as the leading commander was defeated by the Dune Sovereignty.” Once Henry was captured, he was turned into a slave. When he refused to work for them, he was sold to the slave market. Around a few years later, Aditya brought him along with six others. ”Oh...!!” This explains why Henry looked extra serious today. ”Does anyone else have any personal history of the Dune Sovereignty?” Spencer came and joined the conversation. Nathan and Eleanor stood next to others in silence, preferring to speak only when necessary.

”What are you doing here?” Asked Victoria. ”Well, I had some free time, I thought I should come here to stretch my body,” Spencer replied in an awkward tone. He was the commander. Everyone agreed that he should not come to the battlefield. Rather, he should watch everything from the Dragon Palace and direct them. ”You should be not here!!” Victoria said in a firm tone. If Spencer died or was captured, then they would be at a huge risk. Besides, his fighting capabilities werenʼt up to the standard. Yes, as a Dragonian, he was stronger than others but he desperately needed fighting experience. Even a normal soldier with a decade of experience would easily be able to take him down. ”Someone take him back!!” General Henry commanded in a cold tone. In Adityaʼs absence, they cannot take any risks. Sigh!!

”Donʼt worry, I will leave using the teleportation array even before the war starts.” Spencer finally relented. ”Did you manage to contact His Majesty?” Asked Amber. Every major war of the Istarin Empire was led by their Emperor. When Aditya was with them, everyone felt like they had two lives. They felt more courageous and powerful. There was this strange and unshakeable belief in their hearts that regardless of what opponent they might face, as long as their Dragon Monarch was with them, they would emerge victorious. ”I tried!! I cannot send a letter without knowing exactly where His Majesty is.” When Spencer learned that the whole situation was escalating to an all-out war, the first thing that he did was try to contact Aditya. ”To be honest, things were never supposed to go this way.”

”For almost a month, we have been working behind the scenes to make sure that the threat of Dune Sovereignty can be neutralized. But our plan has failed.”

”What was the plan?” Amber curiously asked. ”It was to eliminate Crown Prince Garrick and Charles and have the Princess of the Empire become the new Ruler. Though Crown Prince Garrick was put down, we underestimated the capabilities of Charles. He is more cautious than we initially expected.”

”Once this war is over, letʼs eat shawarma together!!” Josh suddenly suggested to Scott. Both of them were acting like they were best friends. They were even standing next to each other. ”What is shawarma?” Unfortunately, Josh did not get the chance to respond. Swoosh!!!

Suddenly several figures descended from the sky. ”I hope we are not late.” It was Riya, Amelia, Lilith, and Sasha. ”Reinforcement is on its way. It wonʼt take long for them to arrive.” Amelia spoke to Spencer. ”Thank you!! Though I am sure reinforcement wasnʼt needed this early.” After all, the actual fight hadnʼt even begun yet. If the gathered news was true, then both sides had a similar number of troops. ”This is the most important War of this Era. I cannot just wait for the Istarin Empire to ask for reinforcement. But you are right!!” Amelia looked back and continued. ”If he was here, then, it would be them who would need all the reinforcement that they can get.”

At the distant, there were hundreds of flying ships slowly flying toward. ”They are here!!” Everyone became serious as they a figure in the distance. ”Itʼs just one man!!” ”No, they are here!!” Behind the man, there were countless troops in black outfits. ----------------
