823  Chapter 823:- Dark Clouds of Chaos

”Where is my son?” Asked the City Lord of Stonehaven. The Stonehaven was a Dwarven City. The majority of its population were dwarves.

”Youʼre the governor of the Stonehaven City, right?” Asked Robert.

After kidnapping the City Lordʼs 15-year-old son, Robert was lazily sitting in the living room. As for the guards, Robert has long killed them. Right now, some of their bodies are hanging on the walls that surround the whole Mansion. ”What did you do to my son?” The man asked in a desperate tone. When this disaster suddenly came to his city, he did not even have time to flee with his family. This powerful man was able to capture his only son. Having no other choice, he sent his family away using the teleportation array but stayed to ask for his son. It was no use acting tough in front of this man. He had already seen his power—just how effortlessly he killed his ten fourth-order guards. ”Relax!!” Robert was sitting on the couch. He crossed his legs, resting his right leg casually over his left.

”Your son is not dead.” Hearing this, Rockson was relieved. ”Your son is with the Dune Sovereignty Empire.” Hearing this part, Rocksonʼs heart sank. He knew the implications of this sentence.

Rockson took a deep breath to calm himself. ”May I ask what His Majesty wants from me?” Though, he tried to remain calm, but ultimately, he failed. His voice was shaking. ”Itʼs simple!!” ”Give us full access to your City.” ”Donʼt worry, this is just a temporary thing. Once we are done with our objective then we will return your small City to you.” Neither Robert nor Charles had any interest in a City located in a desert. This is why, the Dune Sovereignty never tried to spread its territory in the Beast Continent. The home of the Dune Sovereignty already had the largest desert in the Six Continents. Why would Charles want to conquer more desert Cities?

”Can I ask what the Dune Sovereignty intends to do with this city?” Rockson carefully chose his words. He was afraid that he might accidentally offend this man. ”Itʼs simple!! We are going to fight the Istarin Empire. We are going to use your city as a base.” Hearing this, Rocksonʼs face turned pale. This meant that his city was good was destroyed. Regardless of who won the war, his city would ultimately end up becoming the center point of this war. The Stonehaven city was constructed at the foot of a rugged mountain, where the dwarves have discovered an iron mine. The dwarves utilize the iron mined from the mountain for crafting weapons, armor, and various other items.

In the chaotic central region of the Beast Continent, Stonehaven City is one of the most peaceful and prosperous cities in the entire Continent. Unlike other cities, where City Lords frequently change due to constant wars and conflicts, Stonehaven was ruled by the Ironbeard family. The Ironbeard Family has a very long, prestigious lineage. It was said that around a few thousand years back, the Ironbeard family used to rule a small Kingdom in the Dry Savanna. The small Kingdom was famously known as the Kingdom of Dwarves. But the Kingdom was later destroyed by another kingdom. That Kingdom went on to become one of the biggest and strongest Empires that the six continents had ever seen. Yes, Rocksonʼs ancestors badly lost to King Charles and were forced to exile from the Dry Savanna continent once and for all. The ancestors of the Ironbeard family surrendered once they realized they could not win against this mad demon. Charles wasnʼt just satisfied with having them exiled. So he killed all the male members of the Ironbeard family and let the woman and the children of the family escape. Over the thousand years, the Ironbeard family declined. Now, Rockson and his son were the only few Ironbeard family members left in this world. Though it has been thousands of years, the Ironbeard family has never forgotten this shame and humiliation. Who would have thought that after thousands of years, Charles would once again make a move against them? ʼDamn you, Charles!! Why canʼt you let the Ironbeard family live in peace?ʼ Rockson cursed Charles in his heart. Rockson hated Charles, but he wasnʼt an impulsive man. He knew he was too weak in front of Charles and his Empire. It was like an ant in front of a Titan. ʼI really hope the Istarin Empire defeats you in this war.ʼ But for now, despite how much he hated Charles and the Dune Sovereignty Empire, he had to do what they were saying. After all, they had his young son. ”Sir, can I add something?” Rockson asked in a timid tone. ”Hmm?”

”Sir, why donʼt you return my son to me? I will leave this city with my son and wonʼt come back until this war ends.”

”You wonʼt have to see my face anywhere within this city.” This wasnʼt an easy choice for Rockson; after all, he was the city Lord of this city. Hundreds of thousands of people trusted him. But the life of his son was even more important. Right now, he wanted nothing to do with these monsters. He would rather leave everything behind and temporarily hide somewhere. ”Alright!! You can leave!!” This would only make things easier for them. The original plan was to eliminate Rockson with his son. But since he surrendered so easily, there was no need to kill them. ”Someone take him to his son.” Rockson was very grateful. He repeatedly bowed to Robert who ignored him and was looking outside of the window. ”Now, the war can finally begin!!!” ••••

Within just a few hours, the dark clouds of the upcoming storm covered the entire Central Region of the Beast Continent. The news of the Dune Sovereignty Empire preparing for a mass invasion spread throughout the entire Beast Continent in less than an hour. The news rapidly spread to other continents as well. Within a few hours, pretty much everyone became aware of what was coming. From the beginning, Charles and Robert never planned to hide this anyway. Both of them were clever enough to understand that given the capability of the Istarin Empire, even if they were to hide it, they would be found out. Not only did Stonehaven fall into the hands of the Dune Sovereignty within a few hours, but other cities around it also came under their control.

Using the teleportation arrays of those cities, within just a few hours, almost all of the troops of the Dune Sovereignty had arrived at the Central Region. From this, it became crystal clear who the Dune Sovereignty was targeting. Their target was none other than the Istarin Empire. Around an hour after they took over the Stonehaven, under Spencerʼs command, the troops of the Istarin Empire also began to teleport to the central region. In the central region, the Istarin Empire controlled 7 cities. Those seven cities were Lionrock, Moonshadow, Goldenreach, Bluemist, Crystalgate, and Shadowmere. The cities that the Dune Sovereignty took over were located on the southern side of the central region.

It had become clear that the central region was going to become the battlefield for two mega-powerhouses. Two of the biggest and most powerful Titans within the Six Continents were going to clash.

One side had a history that was even longer than the current era. Another side was a newly risen powerhouse. What the Dune Sovereignty took over 15,000+ years to accomplish was accomplished within less than one and a half years.

The fate of this war will change a lot of things. Some even claimed that this might be the beginning of a new Era for the Six Continents. The winner of this battle will be the True Overlord of the Six Continents. The Dune Sovereignty had the advantage of its long history. No one in its history has ever seen the Empire located in the Sand region go all out. On the other hand, the Istarin Empire had the strongest cultivator in the Six Continents. Even ignoring the Emperor, the Empire was close allies with many powerful Empires. It was very difficult to tell who was going to dominate or win this war. It was even more difficult to predict how long this clash between the two Titans will continue. One thing that was certain was that this clash would forever change the geopolitical landscape of the entire Six Continents. If the Istarin Empire won, then the entire Dune Sovereigntyʼs territories would fall into its hands. If the Dune Soveregitny won, then the entire Istarin Empire would be theirs, and King Charles wonʼt let any of the Istarin Empireʼs allies continue. Some might say that the Istarin Empire looked stronger in this war. But the Dune Sovereignty was unpredictable. After all, no one had seen what the Desert Empire was capable. If the Dune Sovereignty wasnʼt sure of its victory, then it wouldnʼt have initiated this whole war. This also led many to suspect that the Dune Sovereignty might have found a secret weapon against the Istarin Empire. ----------------
