Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 838:- Aditya vs Robert [III]

”Surprised?” Robert looked at Adtiya and asked with a grin. ”You know, there is a reason why Allen called me the Nightmares of Dragons.” Aditya had a bad feeling in his heart. ”Since youʼre so curious, let me spoil it.” ”I gained a really powerful Passive skill thanks to Doctorʼs experiments on me. I must say, he is outstanding.” ”One of my Passive skillʼs abilities allows me to decrease the magic attack power of Dragons by 80%.” Hearing this, Adityaʼs expression changed. ʼNo wonder!!!ʼ This was the reason why none of his attacks did much damage to Robert. Aditya found it incredibly strange that none of his attacks worked on him. At first, he thought that his attacks were too weak to hurt him. When a cultivator is strong enough, that cultivator is not hurt by weak attacks. ”Hahahah!!! Are you surprised?” Robert began laughing loudly. ”Thatʼs right!!” ”Even if you hit me with your strongest attack, it wonʼt do anything to me.” After all, an 80% decrease in attack power meant that his attacks were completely ineffective against Robert. ”This is why I am so powerful against Dragons.” ʼI have taken three of his attacks now. This should be enough.ʼ Robert can still take two more of his attacks for his gain. ”Now that you attacked, itʼs my turn now!!!” Aditya silently wiped the blood from his cheeks and took out his damaged Adamantite Doomblade. ”Word of advice - Wear your armor. Otherwise, you will regret it.” Knowing that this was going to be a difficult fight, he took Robertʼs advice. For the first time in a while, he wore a Crimson Warlock Set. ʼI could improve this armor setʼs capabilities in a few more ways.ʼ Since he wore this Armor set, his skills in Rune have significantly improved, and he now has new rare material in his hand. If he added the Anti-Gravity Crystal, the power of this armor would significantly increase. ʼTsk!!!ʼ Seeing the black sword and the armor he wore, Robert felt jealous.

Aditya had numerous artifacts, but Robert only had one. This was the difference between an artifact maker and someone forced to work under a former Clan Leader. Robert noticed that even his woman and the generals wore really nice quality artifacts. Even during the Demon invasion, Artifacts were incredibly rare. Robert got his artifact when he defeated a Demon General. It was a 4-star Ice Spear. But then Allen used his connection at the Main Continent to transform it into a ʼPeakʼ 5-star artifact. Frost Terrain!!!

A bluish-white energy came out of Robert. The energy spread in all directions. Aditya instantly noticed that the temperature of the surroundings was rapidly dropping. ʼMy Fire and Lightning attacks wonʼt harm him, so I will need to rely on physical attacks.ʼ

Physical attacks meant fighting him at a close range, which was really troublesome since he had gravity Manipulation. By increasing the Gravity of his body, he could slow down his speed. By increasing the Gravity of the surroundings, he could even make it difficult for him to teleport. ʼWho knows what else he can do with Gravity?ʼ Overall, this gravity ability was really annoying. Aditya couldnʼt even rely on his agility to fight him. Before, Aditya mostly relied on his agility to fight stronger opponents. Whenver he found himself at a disadvantage situation, he could retreat using teleportation or react quickly using his agility. This whole situation is what made him wear his Crimson Warlock Armor Set. Swoosh!!!

Aditya was startled, seeing how fast he was moving. ʼHe is fast!!ʼ ʼHe has gotten even faster than before!!!ʼ Clang.....!!!

While taking a step back, he blocked the spear strike with his black sword. For some reason, he felt that his agility was slightly reduced. This feeling, it was very difficult to put into numbers but he clearly felt the decrease in his agility. ʼWhat a power!!!ʼ The collision between their weapons sent pain to his arms. He almost felt as if his arms had cracked from the impact of the collision. Robert took a step back before charging at the Dragon Monarch. Aditya noticed the ice spear coming at him from the right. Gritting his teeth, he struggled to react in time, barely managing to raise his weapon to block the attack. But just as their weapons were about to clash, the momentum shifted. The hand holding the spear suddenly pulled back, and, in a flash, a dagger appeared in the attackerʼs left palm, shooting towards him with even greater speed.

When he tried to teleport, the dagger was just a few inches away from him, but to his horror, he discovered he couldnʼt teleport. Rather, when he tried to teleport, he found that the gravity of the surrounding space fabric had changed and was constantly changing. Stab...!!!

Hiss...!!!

Aditya felt the ice-cold dagger inside his body. The more than half of the dagger was inside his body. And it wasnʼt a pleasant sensation. It was one of the worst pains that he had ever felt in his entire life. The intense pain made his eyes lose focus for a second from the intense pain. But seeing the spear approaching his heart, he knew he had to dodge the attack. Just then, hundreds, if not thousands, of Crimson lightning bolts hit Robert. At the same time, Crimson flame erupted out of his body and hit Robert with everything. Just when he sensed the fabric of space was stable enough, he teleported. Meanwhile, Robert walked out of the Crimson flame like it was nothing. Although he suffered a few minor injuries, these injuries were nothing. With his strong regeneration, those injuries can be easily healed. Tct.....!!

Seeing this, Robert felt very annoyed. He was hoping to end Aditya with that attack. ʼBut no worries, next time, I will finish him.ʼ In his opinion, the bleeding goat wonʼt live for too long. Aditya teleported a few hundred meters away. He fell to his knee from pain. Ice was one of the elements against which he was weak. After all, the ice element was the opposite of Flame. But even then, a normal ice dagger shouldnʼt hurt this much. The pain he was feeling was so intense that he couldnʼt focus on anything else. ”Aditya.....!!!” Riya, Sasha, Lilith, and Amelia all covered their mouths, seeing him on his knee. The dagger barely missed the right side of his neck. The dagger managed to break through his Lightning Armor and Dragon scales. His body armor didnʼt cover this part of his body which made it easier for Robert. Aditya caught the dagger with his other hand, gritting his teeth as pain shot through him. With a fierce glare, he yanked the blade out and tossed it aside in anger.

The sharp sting had dulled a bit, but when he glanced down at his wound, he saw a deep, open gash—at least four inches deep—carved into his flesh.

Now that the pain reduced, he could finally think and focus on other things.

He begins to think while putting a 5-star healing pill in his mouth. Looking back, Aditya found himself with many important questions. ʼHow is he getting faster?ʼ Aditya wondered as his eyes narrowed as he observed Robertʼs movements. It was clear now that Robertʼs agility was increasing with each strike, moving at a speed that didnʼt seem natural. Aditya knew that simply reducing his weight with gravity manipulation couldnʼt explain this level of improvement. Even with the aid of gravity, there was a limit to how much Robertʼs speed could increase. This left Aditya piecing together a few possible explanations.

First, Aditya considered that Robert might possess passive skills, much like his own, that boosted his agility. This seemed highly likely. Skills like these would work in the background, providing continuous enhancements without any visible effect, which could explain why Robert was moving faster with each second.

The second possibility was that Robert was using artifacts that increased his agility. But as far as Aditya could tell, there were no visible artifacts on Robert that might serve this purpose. Yet, he couldnʼt rule it out. There was always the chance that Robert had some hidden item, something concealed from view, that was subtly enhancing his speed.

Another question gnawed at Adityaʼs mind: how were Robertʼs attacks so powerful? The ice dagger that had left a four-inch-deep wound in his right shoulder didnʼt seem like an ordinary strike. It made him wonder how Robertʼs attack strength had suddenly spiked to such a level. Each blow felt heavier and more dangerous.

”Are you curious how my attacks have become so threatening?” Robert smiled and asked. He was purposely waiting. He wanted Aditya to heal before going at him again. This showed just how confident he was at his victory. In his mind, Adityaʼs defeat was inevitable. Itʼs a matter of time before the Dragon Monarch is slain by the Spear Hero. Aditya did not reply. Instead, his mind was thinking of ways to find an opening to end him once and for all. This was one of the most difficult and trickiest fights he had ever fought. His Crimson Flame and Crimson lightning werenʼt working against him. His teleportation and agility were severely restricted. Other than these, what else did he have? The answer was nothing. His main powers were cut off. ”I have a passive skill called Dragon Slayer.” ”The third ability of this skill is also called ʼDraconic Annihilation.ʼ In the end, even Robert chuckled as he found the whole situation a little bit amusing. ”Do you know what it does?” Aditya stopped thinking and stared at Robert. ”This whole skill was tailored for slaying Dragons.”

”So the third ability of this passive skill gives me the power to kill you and all Dragons.” ”It increases the magic attack powers by 300%.”

『Name - Dragon Slayer』

『Rank - 5th-order Passive Skill』

『Ability 1 - ???』

『Ability 2 - ???』

『Ability - ʼDraconic Annihilationʼ - Increases magic attack power against Dragons by 300%.』

Hearing this, Adityaʼs eyes widened. He was in clear shock and disbelief. The first thing that came to his mind after hearing this was Robert was lying. But then he realized there was truth in his words. Otherwise, how could he explain the huge damage that he received from that ice dagger attack? The attack instantly dropped his health by [- 390] points. From his words, Aditya understood that this skill still had two power abilities which he had no idea about. ----------------
