Chapter 805:- Damage Control

”Where is she?” Charles asked, seeing that he hadnʼt brought Emma. Inwardly, he became slightly concerned. Ever since that devil appeared in his sonʼs life, everything has been going wrong. There is no doubt that she is responsible for pushing Garrick in that direction. Charles wanted to kill this woman with his own hands to calm his anger. This would also teach Garrick a lesson. But he did not realize, given how much Garrick cared about Emma, that if Charles were to kill her, then Garrick would never forgive Charles, and the relationship between father and son would forever be broken. ”Your Majesty, I did not find Emma.” Hearing this, Garrick felt relieved. At this moment, he does not care how Emma manages to escape, how she realizes that she needs to escape, or any other questions related to her. What he felt was a relief. At least Emma wouldnʼt be captured with him. ”But I found the corpse of your butler in the bedroom.” Hearing this, Garrick, Alfred, and Charles all froze like statues. The most shocked one was obviously Charles. For more than 10 seconds, the whole room fell into a heavy silence. No one spoke. Everyone was still having a hard time that the butler who had been serving Charles even before the Dune Sovereignty Empire was founded was dead. The first one to react was Charles. Charles appeared in front of Evans. To Evans, it felt as if the Emperor had just teleported in front of him. ”Tell me, this isnʼt true!!!!” Charles grabbed his shoulders and asked again. He was applying so much force in his grip that Evans was feeling pain. But he tried his best to not show it. ”Itʼs true!!” ”I went to His Highnessʼs bedroom to capture this woman.” ”Before entering the bedroom, I asked a few servants. They said that they didnʼt see Emma coming out of His Highnessʼs bedroom. So I thought I would find her inside.”

”But instead of finding her, what I found was the headless corpse of your Butler. I found his Head in the garden.”

Hearing this, Charles again took another deep breath. He closed his eyes and massaged his forehead. Once again, the whole room fell into deep silence. For over a minute, no one spoke anything. Garrickʼs mind was filled with many questions. Although it was very easy for him to guess who might have done this, his heart just refused to believe it. Alfred had already accepted that it was Emma who killed the Head Butler. Just when Charles was about to speak, someone came to his room. It was another Peak 5th-order cultivator that Charles had sent to get Eldric and his family out of Garrickʼs Mansion. ”Your Majesty....!!!” Seeing that Eldric wasnʼt with him, Charlesʼs heart tightened. His gut was telling him that something bad had happened. ”Where is Eldric?” ”Dead!!”

Charles looked at others as if to confirm what he heard was true or not. ”Say that again!!!” ”I found Eldricʼs cold body lying in the bedroom in which he was kept.”

”The Peak 5th-order bodyguard that was in charge of guarding the room had no idea that this had happened. But just to be safe, I have arrested him along with others.” ”As for his family, other than the one family member that Garrick killed, no one else was found dead.”

Without saying a word, Charles walked up to Garrick. This time, he kicked his chest. Cough...!!!

”Bastard, have you realized what your actions have done?” Charles did not stop with one kick. He started punching and kicking Garrick while screaming in anger. ”Because of your silly dreams of becoming the Emperor, I have lost two of my most important men.”

”Today, I lost a friend and a brother.”

Bang.....!!!

Bang.....!!!

Bang.....!!!

Garrickʼs actions have caused immense loss to the Dune Sovereignty Empire. Eldricʼs importance can never be described in just simple words.

No amount of money can be exchanged for his worth. He was irreplaceable. He was even more irreplaceable than Charles. Without him, the workload for Charles is going to increase by 1000 folds. And now, without his butler, his life will become even more messier. It was just the presence of his butler that he would be missing from his life from now on, but it would be the presence of someone who had accompanied him for over 15000+ years. The 15000+ years of experience, knowledge, relationship, and trust all was gone. Bang.....!!!

Bang.....!!!

Bang.....!!!

Charles continued to hit Garrick. This time, he did not bother to hold his anger. He continued to hit Garrick without caring what happened to this stupid descendant of his. Seeing how brutally the former Crown Prince was beaten, Evans felt sympathetic towards Garrick. ”Your Majesty, please stop!! Otherwise, His Highness might die from your beating.” Evansʼs tone reflected just how concerned he was about his second master. Charles stopped for a moment to look at Garrick. ”Let this bastard die!!!” ”This bastard is the biggest waste of my semen.” ”This has to be the costliest mistake that I have ever made in my life.”

Charlesʼs eyes were red. He was roaring. His whole face had turned red from anger. ”You Bastard, I thought that I would give you a chance, but now I have changed my mind.” Bang......!!!!

With a powerful kick, Charles finally stopped. ”Locks these two bastards in the deepest layer of the Prison for now.”

Charles then turned to Garrick and looked at him. ”I was thinking that keeping you in prison for a few centuries would change you. But now I have changed my mind.”

”I am going to do something even worse.” Hearing this, Garrickʼs body trembled. He couldnʼt even see properly because of the amount of blood covering his face.

”I have to damage control.”

”Let me explain what I mean by ʼDamage Controlʼ.”

”It would be a huge waste to kill the two of you. So here is what I am going to do with you two.” ”First of all, I am going to turn you two into mindless puppets. Then, you two will be used as watchdogs for the Dune Sovereignty Empireʼs troops.”

There was no hint of mercy in his eyes. It was as if the death of his brother and Eldric had wiped out any trace of mercy from his heart. ”You will bark when ordered.”

”You will lick everyoneʼs shoes when needed.”

”I am a man. I can always replace you with someone better.”

”Better, I did not reproduce a male heir because you were born. But now, another candidate is going to take your place.” Hearing all of these, a strong sense of anger builds inside Garrick, but there is nothing that he can do since he is too powerless at this moment. Suddenly, a mysterious figure appeared in the room. Ignoring everyone, he sat on the couch and curiously picked up a book that was lying on the tea table in front of the couch. Everyone paused and looked at him for a second. Other than Charles, everyone was wondering who this man was. ʼI did not even sense him until he appeared in this room.ʼ Evans realized just how powerful this figure was. ”Robert, where have you been?” Charles asked in a neutral tone. He wasnʼt neither friendly nor too cold with this man. ”Well, I was wandering around the Capital.”

”I wanted to see just how much the world had changed.”

”Speaking of wandering, I saw something very interesting that you might want to know,” Robert said with a smile. ”What is it?” Charles asked. ”That woman your son brought is an Assassin.” Hearing this, everyone widened their eyes. Although Charles had some suspicion, his words basically confirmed everything. ”This woman is so skilled that she was able to fool every Peak 5th-order in this Royal Palace into thinking that she was a 3rd-order cultivator.”

”She effortlessly killed your butler and was about to run away with his head until she sensed my presence.” Itʼs not that Robert tried to hide his presence. He made it easier for her to sense him. ”If you were watching her, then why didnʼt you stop her?” Charles asked in an angry tone. He sounded very dissatisfied. Robert lazily raised two fingers. ”Because of two reasons.”

”First of all, this wasnʼt written in our contract. If this was related to the Istarin Empire, then I might have helped you.”

”Second, I only agreed to lend my strength during the war against the Istarin Empire. You better not forget that I donʼt work for you.” Robert said the last sentence in a threatening tone. His threat scared Charles. He instantly calmed and nodded his head. ”Besides, last night, I offered you another deal, but you rejected it, saying that you could handle everything on your own.” In exchange for lending a helping hand, Robert wanted some things from Charles but he ultimately refused his offer. Now, Charles found himself regretting his decision to reject Robetʼs offer. ”I guess itʼs time for damage control!!” Robert said with a knowing smile. Charles sighed heavily before nodding his head. ”Listen, donʼt utter a single word about what happened today.”
