[Please Subscribe]_1 His speed was now even faster.

This form of communication made him realize just how far behind he was compared to these two entities.

If the flying rod hadn’t restricted the flying saucer when he was trying to snatch the metal substance, it would have been impossible for him to get it.

There was even a chance that he could already be dead now!

Pop!!

When Jia Yan flew three thousand meters away from the two battling entities, he felt as if he had broken through something!

The voice that had been echoing in his mind vanished immediately!

Jia Yan cast a quick look backwards with his compound eyes.

The flying rod was still locked in battle with the flying saucer!

Jia Yan fell silent.

“I hope that after this mutation, I can be involved in such battles!”

Jia Yan watched the battle behind him, then spread his wings as hard as he could!

Whistle!!!!

The Giant Mosquito drew a beautiful straight line in the air, the sonic boom creating a long trail in the sky as he broke the sound barrier!

Boom boom!!

His speed was extremely fast, the battlefield behind him disappearing in the blink of an eye!

Jia Yan knew he was not qualified to battle these mysterious and powerful beings just yet.

His foundation was not solid, and the gap in strength was simply too vast!

So he did not rashly make impulsive decisions, as it simply wasn’t his style!

“That flying rod, it communicated with me using sound, similar to the prior sound wave attack exerted by the flying saucer!”

Jia Yan thought back to the incident by Qinghai Lake, where the flying saucer had launched a sonic attack on him – a memory which he found horrifying!

However, the flying saucer did not use the sound wave attack on him this time.

Not sure if it was because he was too far away from Jia Yan to launch an effective attack or because it was seriously damaged and could not release the attack again!

“It might also be because the flying rod kept harassing it in midair!”

After thinking for a while, Jia Yan put the matter aside.

He looked at the metal mass in his hands, as big as a door plate.

The flying saucer had lost a part of its outer layer after dropping this mass of metal.

Although the material underneath was also a kind of smooth defensive material, the loss clearly had a significant impact on its combat power.

“Okay, now that I’m out of their battle range, let’s stop thinking too much.

I hope the metal substance I risked my life to snatch will be beneficial to me!”

Jia Yan looked at the large chunk of metal, feeling a deep desire within his body.

Some coagulation material even seemed too impatient to wait and started to devour this matter.

Jia Yan smiled slightly inside.

It seemed his choice was correct.

This object was evidently enormously beneficial for his body!

The Giant Mosquito made a quick U-turn in the air!

He had deliberately flown in the opposite direction of his base earlier, fearing that the two unidentified flying objects would follow his departure route to find him.

Jia Yan believed, however, that given their eerie capabilities, the range of their exploration might even cover the whole Earth!

But that was just a guess.

Even if he was being overly cautious by flying further away, whether it had any effect would have to be seen.

After all, flying a bit further wasn’t time-consuming for him, and it was always good to be prepared!

The Giant Mosquito flew towards his base, where the small village was located.

However, shortly after the Giant Mosquito left…

A somewhat tattered, butterfly-shaped flying object slowly hovered into view.

After briefly lingering around here and apparently finding nothing, it continued its flight forward.

A moment later, an object that looked like a flying rod, also slightly damaged, came flying through the air.

After observing the area for a while, it didn’t fly onwards like the flying saucer had, but instead headed slowly towards the direction where Jia Yan was!

All of this was unknown to Jia Yan, who had already returned to his lair!

He arrived at his temporary hiding place and retrieved all the treasures he had gathered over time!

More than a hundred green-grey pebbles and two smaller pieces of metal.

And also, what he brought back, a metal object as large as a door!

These metal objects had obviously fallen from the UFO-like object, and they possessed an unimaginable gravitational pull on Jia Yan!

A coagulation on the surface of his body was rapidly decomposing, turning into a mucus-like substance, lightly shifting on the ground.

Devouring all the objects on the ground.

Even Jia Yan found it extremely bizarre when he looked at it!

“What’s the actual situation with my mutation?!”

All this time, Jia Yan hadn’t been very clear about his own mutation.

Since before this mutation, staying alive had been a struggle, so even though he had some thoughts about his mutation, he never delved too deep!

But now, he found his body becoming even stranger, which stirred his curiosity about this so-called mutation.

His body sent out thoughts of mutation, and the solid defense on his skin seemed to dissolve instantly, rapidly turning into a soft substance.

The coagulate slid down.

The ground it touched showed signs of erosion, including soil and stone surfaces!

Jia Yan knew that if he weren’t telling himself that there were better things to mutate with, and he wasn’t forcibly suppressing his desire to devour, then these condensation fluids would definitely devour all the objects on the ground, dissolving them into materials needed for mutation!

But this was not what Jia Yan wanted.

He already had some understanding of his own mutation.

If he devoured, any material would do, but if he devoured something worse than what he had before, not only would his combat power not improve, it might even decrease!

So why would he allow himself to casually devour just anything?

Moreover, mutation wasn’t something he could just do anytime!

It seemed like Jia Yan needed a few days to ‘adjust his mood’ for the next mutation!

He needed to keep reminding his body that he’s almost ready to devour again, otherwise he wouldn’t be able to devour any mutating material he casually acquired!

Only after meeting so many conditions could he start the mutation.

The condensation fluid finally touched the first green-grey pebble.

Jia Yan watched as his body seemed to relay a sense of joy from the inside.

He also noticed that a very good substance was quickly being broken down by the condensation fluid and absorbed into his body!

Pain, numbness, itchiness!

Jia Yan’s heart trembled slightly.

He had said that this green-grey pebble wasn’t powerful enough, but now that he was devouring it, he found it surprisingly strong!

Such wild energy, no wonder it could cause such a massive explosion!

But what about those pieces of metal?

They didn’t appear as if they could explode, so why was their gravitational pull on him even greater?

Jia Yan shifted his focus to the two pieces of metal on one side.

“But now is not the time to absorb them.

I should first absorb these green-grey pebbles, then move on to the metal.” Jia Yan forcefully suppressed his discomfort.

This time, he planned ahead and was determined to carefully observe his mutation process!

He had said the same thing the last time, but halfway through, Jia Yan’s mind had become blurry.

But this time, he would definitely make it!

Jia Yan pulled himself together and closely observed his mutation process!

The condensation fluid was moving slowly.

Compared to his previous mutations, Jia Yan’s body was now much larger, so the process was much slower.

“My feeling is not that there’s anything different with my body itself, but among all the substances in my series of mutations, all of them have promoted my mutation!

But with this mutation, apart from the green-grey pebbles, that metal doesn’t seem to have that familiar feeling from all the other mutating items before!”

“Or rather, my previous mutations seem to have had some relationship with these green-grey pebbles, but this piece of metal doesn’t seem to have any relationship at all!” (To be continued.
