[Seeking Subscription] _1 The giant mosquito overhead had, after nearly a day of tracking, been accepted by the people on the train.

After all, such a creature as a bodyguard undoubtedly alleviated concerns of an attack by metallic monsters.

Moreover, the increasingly closer international metropolis of ‘Shanghu’, induced a sense of relaxation among these passengers.

No matter how swift the assault of the metallic monsters, they surely would not instantly attack such a large city!

It was, after all, an important human city with an exceptionally strong defense!

Compared to the humans of the towns the train passed through, most people on this train had personally witnessed the ravages of the metallic monsters.

So, in reality, they didn’t harbour much hope for the combat power of the human military.

Regardless of their inability to fight back, being in such a large city, it seemed unlikely they still wouldn’t have any power to resist!

People from Jia’s family on the train eventually accepted the assassins’ suggestion of heading to their secret hideout in Shanghu.

Originally, the two intended to take Jia’s family to a more rural place, but that location was reported as having been visited by the metallic monsters, so they decisively changed their route to this hidden dwelling in Shanghu.

Essentially, it was the inconspicuous building where Jia Yan had last met the two assassins!

However, it was certain that Jia Yan wouldn’t be visiting that place again!

When the train was a little over thirty kilometers away from Shanghu.

A fighter jet bearing a vivid red five-pointed star swiftly streaked across the high sky!

At that time, Jia Yan was flying more than five hundred meters above the train.

This distance was ideal.

Should any danger befall the train, he could rapidly react while also being distant enough so as not to disturb the humans onboard!

To the giant mosquito, the speed of the train felt somewhat slow.

Thus tracking it all the way made Jia Yan somewhat impatient!

Nevertheless, at that moment, a spark flickered in Jia Yan’s compound eyes when he spotted the oncoming fighter jet!

In the sunshine, the plane shone with a terrifying glow as it headed right in Jia Yan’s direction.

“They’ve directly dispatched a fighter jet to meet me.

But one jet, don’t they think it’s not enough?”

Jia Yan watched the fighter jet approach.

Once it got closer, he realized it was a model that Huaxia had launched and became somewhat famous in recent years – the J-20, also known as the aircraft that could rival the fourth-generation fighters of other leading nations!

However, this jet had virtually no combat testing, and the flight training and practical experience of its pilots weren’t abundant either.

Thus, its actual combat power had been criticized by foreign countries.

“Two Japanese F-15s couldn’t do much to me, so should I try out my country’s fighter this time?”

A gleam of anticipation flickered in Jia Yan’s compound eyes.

By now, the giant mosquito didn’t fear human flying weapons.

Since he had experience shooting down two fourth-generation fighters belonging to Japan, he’d formed some judgement about humanity’s formidable combat aircraft!

Fighter jets weren’t weak, of course, but when compared to the defensive powers of Jia Yan himself and the metallic monsters, they came up short!

Jia Yan himself aside, the defensive power of the metallic monsters was something human fighter jets couldn’t match.

Moreover, after Jia Yan’s full evolution, if he said he was still afraid of human fighter jets, that would be the biggest joke under the sun!

“Huh!

It’s not approaching.”

After waiting for a moment, Jia Yan noticed the fighter wasn’t directly approaching him nor had it launched any air-to-air missile, which surprised him.

It didn’t approach him but flew past at a considerable distance!

In the fighter was an experienced pilot.

Upon encountering the giant mosquito in the air, he immediately followed the plan arranged by his superiors.

Originally, after seeing the reports of the giant mosquito monster fighting the metallic monsters several times, the Huaxia side maintained their judgement that this giant mosquito monster could potentially be won over.

Even if communication was impossible, as long as it didn’t initiate an attack, considering the giant mosquito monster’s previous attitude toward humans, it surely wouldn’t make any aggressive moves against humans!

Therefore, the fighter jet was merely expelling the giant mosquito.

After all, they absolutely could not allow a creature with such shocking combat power to enter Shanghu, a metropolis with a large population.

So despite the reluctance to turn the giant mosquito monster into an enemy, they had no choice but to face it head-on!

However, the other side didn’t take any aggressive action; it was merely expelling him for the moment!

Jia Yan sized up the fighter jet with his compound eyes, prepared for a fight.

However, he found it odd that the plane simply continued to hover there without advancing.

But a moment later, he roughly understood the other party’s intentions.

“Are they just driving me away?

But that’s also possible.

At this time, the Huaxia side probably hasn’t judged whether I am their target to be eliminated.

After all, I saved a child from Tumen City in the past, so they haven’t immediately deemed me an enemy!”

Jia Yan, with his compound eyes full of profundity, was staring at the circling fighter.

While he didn’t fear it, he had no reason to initiate a fight for now, especially considering his residual feelings for his former country.

So, this time, he empathized with their actions.

Since his parents had arrived in this large city, and they also had the protection of the two assassins, they should be safe!

Oh well.

Now he was unable to blend into Shanghu like before.

The metropolis was merely a place to re-visit in dreams hereafter.

Jia Yan gave a casual glance at the fighter jet, then back at the slowly departing train, and let out a sigh.

A fare thee well journey of a thousand miles had come to an end here.

Hovering mid-air, Jia Yan watched the train gradually enter the city limits of Shanghu, his wings constantly flapping.

He seemed to regard that jet fighter as nothing!

This attitude sparked a bit of anger in the pilot, but when he thought about his orders, and the stories he’d heard about the giant mosquito monsters, including the one that had once brought down two F-15s from Japan’s Air Self-Defense Force in Japan, he realized the giant mosquito’s air combat ability was indeed formidable.

That’s why he refrained from attacking.

Of course, if he had initiated combat with the giant mosquito, he might have experienced why Japan’s two F-15s had fallen.

That was not a coincidence; the big mosquito certainly had that kind of strength,

Moreover, Jia Yan now was much stronger than he was at that time.

Even his flying speed and reaction had increased significantly.

If any human fighter jet were to provoke him now, they would truly witness who was the real King of the Sky!

However, the fighter pilot didn’t see it coming!

Just as Jia Yan was watching the train go by, the jet pilot was losing his patience.

Jia Yan finally looked closely at this fighter jet!

The pilot’s eyes narrowed, deciding whether to fight or not, was up to this giant mosquito monster’s next move!

Naturally, it would be best if they could avoid combat.

After all, this giant mosquito monster was so strange.

As a creature, it had created a record of shooting down two F-15s, which had supposedly never been brought down before.

Unless absolutely necessary, the pilot didn’t want to engage this monster in combat!

Fortunately, it seemed the Big Mosquito heard the pilot’s unwillingness to fight.

The pair of wings on his abdomen abruptly shook!

Hum hum hum!!!

—–

The Giant Mosquito turned around and headed in a different direction in the sky, speeding away!

Its speed practically broke the sound barrier within seconds!

Woooow!!!

—–

The Big Mosquito’s acceleration and sudden burst of speed left the fighter pilot utterly dumbfounded!

He knew that if he was battling this giant mosquito at close range, he would be killed without even knowing what hit him.

The mosquito’s acceleration was far beyond their fighter jets.

Even for a long time, such acceleration would remain the strongest foundation for the mosquito to dominate the sky!

Because no matter how powerful the fight jet humans could invent, due to the inability to bear excessive overload, it could not achieve the terrifying speed of the giant mosquito.

Therefore, at close range, the Big Mosquito was practically invincible!

Fortunately, they didn’t engage with the Big Mosquito!

The pilot was cold with sweat!

Leaving aside this very relieved pilot, let’s talk about Jia Yan who had left this place.

Now that his parents and little sister’s situation had been settled, the rest was simple!

The brightness in Jia Yan’s compound eyes grew even more intense.

And that was his continued journey to promotion!

Having seen a viable path, there was no reason not to proceed!

Jia Yan indeed saw the path to move forward from the green-grey pebbles.

However, this path had some uncertainties, so he was not easily choosing the green-grey pebbles at this time!

“Let’s go check out that secret research institute in Qingzang.

Those two assassins seemed to understand me, they’ve given a clear address!”

The distance from Shanghu to his hometown Chang City is actually only about four hundred kilometers.

It took him an hour, and he quickly returned to the place where the notebook bag was hidden, and then took it out.

The power in this notebook was almost spent, but it wasn’t a problem for Jia Yan at this time!

Due to the invasion of the metal monsters, there were too many people abandoning their homes in Fujian province.

Even though Chang City had not been ravaged by the metallic monsters at the moment, thanks to Jia Yan’s crazy fight the previous night, countless people had deserted their homes!

Jia Yan wasn’t afraid of being seen now.

He carried the notebook bag, used his heat detection ability to spot houses without people, and barged straight in!

Then he found a socket, plugged in the power, and that was it, he started charging!

It was actually quite simple, wasn’t it!

While charging, he turned on the computer.

“Now just to search for the route to Qingzang and the things to pay attention to.

After all, I’m going back to the freezing North again, and I don’t know how much the temperature will affect me, I hope it won’t!”

After the computer booted up, Jia Yan started investigating.

Going to Qingzang was not just to get the next opportunity to evolve, Jia Yan also wanted to know how far the secret research institute had progressed in its research on the metal monsters!

If there was any information that could be useful to him, that would be the best.
