【Subscribe Please】_1 Chang City, a county-level city not far from Tan City.

In this city, the situation is not unlike Tan City last night, when many refugees from Tan City and other cities gather here again.

The number of people is astonishing!

Many tents appear on the open ground, causing significant issues with traffic and public order!

But no one is paying attention to these problems now.

After all, Tan City, a nearby city, has been attacked by the metal monster.

Thus, an attack on Chang City is imminent.

The law enforcers, themselves overwhelmed, certainly don’t have time to manage everything!

At this moment, finding an opportunity to get medical treatment in a Chang City hospital would be unimaginable.

Even if you honestly line up, you could be waiting for days!

There were just too many sick and injured people.

Despite these circumstances, the Jia’s family still managed to get a hospital room, even a private one.

Many people thought this unremarkable family must be some important figures.

However, only they knew that they were not important figures, but merely ordinary refugees from Tan City!

“Little Lin, accompany your mother to the bank later and take out twenty thousand yuan for those two friends.

Although they claim to be friends of your brother, I don’t think they are.

Regardless of their intentions, we should not owe them too much.”

Jia Sheng, the head of the Jia family, lay in the hospital bed, looking rather unwell.

With his wife and daughter, Jia Lin, by his side, the long journey of fleeing brought them to Chang City.

However, it was not entirely their own efforts that brought them here.

They encountered the two mysterious people who helped them when the Jia’s family was attacked!

These two people had been taking good care of the Jia’s family along the way.

However, when asked why, they would not say anything, claiming to be friends of Jia Yan, who were assisting the family.

This obvious excuse turned out to be the truth, something that both parties didn’t expect!

No one could have guessed that the Big Mosquito was actually Jia Yan, who was supposed to be dead, reincarnated!

The two assassins’ inexplicable actions made Father Jia quite uncomfortable.

Living for so many years, this middle-aged man had never encountered anyone who would give so much without expecting anything in return!

Moreover, during their previous clash with the people who broke his leg, he saw these two men also pulling out guns!

Hence, his trust in them was not high!

And to say that these two men are friends of his son who only knows how to study biology?

That’s simply absurd!

So, Father Jia did not trust these two men very much.

Therefore, he sent his daughter to withdraw some money.

Although he also thought that one couldn’t simply use money to get a room in the hospital at this time, he did not want to owe the two men any favors.

Before long, Mother Jia and Jia Lin left the ward.

However, as they were leaving, they ran into the two men who had gone out to handle their hospital procedures!

These two men were clearly also injured, one with a bandaged arm, the other limping.

“Eh, where are you guys going?

It’s chaotic outside; it’s better not to go out if it’s not necessary,” the bearded man asked, looking somewhat puzzled when he saw the two women leaving the ward.

“I sent them to run some errands,” Father Jia’s voice came from the ward.

Hearing this, the glasses-wearing young man frowned slightly, and said to the bearded man beside him: “I’ll go with them, you stay here and protect Uncle Jia.”

Then, the young man with glasses turned around and followed Mother Jia and Jia Lin.

The bearded man grimaced and entered the ward.

His gunshot wound on his leg was not fully healed, making walking difficult.

However, this man had a strong spirit and did not waver even with this injury.

“Sir, who are you guys, really?

Our son, Jia Yan, shouldn’t have anything to do with you.

If you have any other intentions, then you’ll be disappointed.

We don’t have anything to give, so please, spare us!” Jia Sheng said from his bed, with a wary expression on his face.

When these two men received them on the road, Father Jia would be lying if he said he wasn’t surprised.

But when everything they arranged was so perfect, and they even had a hospital room for his family, Jia Sheng started to become wary!

It only makes sense for a stranger to be unusually friendly if they have ulterior motives!

However, when the bearded man heard this statement, he showed no particular reaction.

He limped over to Jia Sheng’s bedside, sat down on a chair, took out an apple, and begun peeling it.

Laughing, he explained.

“Uncle Jia, don’t overthink it.

We indeed don’t have any connection with your son Jia Yan, but we were entrusted by someone to come here and take care of your family.

And we don’t know who that person is, so don’t bother asking.”

Entrusted by someone?

Hearing the bearded man’s words, Jia Sheng stared at him in astonishment.

Seeing that there was no change in the bearded man’s face, he began to wonder.

Who was that person, who could command such people?

This must be a powerful person, but to Jia Sheng’s knowledge, his family did not have any connections with such figures.

While the Jia family and the two assassins continued in this somewhat awkward relationship…

Not far off in the forest, a giant monster stirs slightly within the trees.

Crack!

Crack!

Its body was a bit stiff, but compared to before, it was doing much better.

Jia Yan finally finished reading the documents within this forest!

It was as if a shocking wave had struck Giant Mosquito’s heart!

The dossier suggested an intriguing mystery.

It hinted that even though Huaxia seemed unprepared for the attack of the metal monsters, they have long been investigating these strange happenings!

The two assassins acquired this information while plotting to kill a corrupt official.

This official didn’t have any research capability but firmly held the leadership role at a secret research base.

Before he died, he was poring over these documents, and since the documents were written for him to understand, Jia Yan also comprehended them!

The so-called ‘metal monsters’ had a collective name within this secret research base, they were referred to as ‘high-alloy organisms’!

The documents didn’t specify how they came to these conclusions, nor did they explain why the secret base had information on the metal monsters.

But it was clear that the secret research base had obtained one or several bodies of these metal monsters!

And thus, the question arose – even though Huaxia initially seemed ignorant about the mysterious underground world, why were they studying the bodies of these metal monsters?!

Jia Yan astutely noticed that these documents dated back to over a year ago.

At that time, Huaxia had already obtained a metal creature’s body.

No wonder Huaxia had publicly announced several successful scientific developments over the past year or two!

But that wasn’t what peaked Jia Yan’s interest!

“Could this research facility possibly benefit me or provide me with anything of value?” Jia Yan had grown addicted to places like these.

The previous factory had brought him so many benefits, now he immediately thought of exploring this one!

“It’s still worth a visit.

This place seems to be around the Qingzang area, a direct distance would be about three thousand kilometers away!

But at my speed, I’d arrive there soon!”

Jia Yan contemplated for a moment, then nodded.

He stood up.

He was still a bit worried about his family.

So he spread his wings a little and sensed his own body.

Jia Yan felt that his condition seemed to have vastly improved.

The continuous transformation of his body had resulted in some healing.

Although it also led to his immobilization, it was actually a good thing, because it made him a tad bit more powerful – ‘a tad’, quite literally.

That’s better than nothing, right!

Before long, he was active again!

The compound eyes of Giant Mosquito flickered briefly!

He looked at the dark night sky overhead.

It had turned night, his favourite time of the day.

The mosquito is, after all, a nocturnal creature, so he felt quite comfortable at this hour.

Although the night didn’t seem to obstruct those metal monsters in any way, it definitely had a significant impact on humans.

And at the moment, Jia Yan’s relationship with humans wasn’t exactly good!

After all, he had already killed so many of them.

He couldn’t expect humans to understand his defence of saving many lives by blocking the road!

So nightfall was ideal for his travels.

When he felt that his body had finally recovered to a certain extent and that he should have some combat abilities, Giant Mosquito hesitated no longer and started vigorously flapping his wings!

Buzzing!!

——

The giant mosquito’s body slowly lifted off from the forest!

His enormous dark figure gradually ascended into the air.

“It’s nighttime now, the temperature has dropped a bit, but this change in temperature doesn’t affect me much.

I just don’t know whether the cold in Qingzang will be unbearable for me?”

While in the air, Jia Yan paused momentarily!

A few dozen meters in the air, he looked at the moon above, having been a mosquito for so long, one of the unique skills Jia Yan had possibly developed was to use the ‘celestial bodies’ to pinpoint his direction!

Before long, Giant Mosquito finally determined his direction!

The massive figure casually turned in mid-air!

He slowly flew in the direction of Chang City!

The Giant Mosquito’s body moved slowly, given his injuries hadn’t fully healed yet.

At this point, his fighting power had been halved.

So, it was better not to push his strength flying.

For some inexplicable reason, Jia Yan had a bit of trust in those two assassins!

If they said they were protecting his family, then he would believe them.

With their protection, as long as they didn’t encounter any metal monsters, they should be able to handle any ordinary crisis!

Under the bright moonlight, a colossal flying monster glowed brilliantly.

His body, embodying hidden violent powers, slowly vanished into the clouds, steadily flying further away…
